FreeIgboho:Why dont you attempt this question yourself. Because the truth is simple: you want to declare that God can be a man. So, following your own question: how do you also know that? |
fyneboi79:You don't know any of that. And even if you did, it's not your place to curse his soul. It belongs to God. May God have mercy on you. |
fyneboi79:You curse the departed on the strength of an internet report. A man you never knew and a man who you don't know for certain committed suicide. |
Jakumo:That don't look like no suicide to me. |
sonmvayina:Simple! Rather they will twist themselves into knots desperate to assert that their fellow man is their creator. |
Gabrielshow24:I don't even believe that Jesus is anything divine. I see him as a man period. So keep both your errors and your desperate lies to yourself. |
Gabrielshow24:For a Christian, I find it remarkable that you can repeatedly attempt to tell a lie. You know very well you made that statement "hybrid" and not I, and yet you persist. Do you think repeating a lie one million times will make it true? |
FreeIgboho:I am not going to play word games with you. Beget is beget. If you cannot resolve the clear contradiction between what you said and what the Bible says, forget it. |
FreeIgboho:Stop trying to force your own presumptions into scripture. Again, you are trying to run away. The contradiction is clear. Deal with it - 1. You say that God doesnt beget anything - YET: 2. The Bibles describes Jesus as the only begotten son of God. Both cant be right. Who is right here - you or the Bible? |
FreeIgboho:There we go. You are presuming and imposing your own views on scripture. Look at the red bold. 1. You say that God doesnt begt anything - YET: 2. The Bibles describes Jesus as the only begotten son of God. Both cant be right. Who is right here - you or the Bible? |
FreeIgboho:Lol, look who is asking anyone to use their head. You? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Listen. The minute you use the bold - "Came from" - its over. It shows that he had a beginning. God has no beginning. |
FreeIgboho:Even disciples of Guru Maharaji and Olumba Olumba Obu say similar things. How about when John wrote "And the Word was with God and the word was God."He can write what he likes, but the truth is there is no one man who is the word of God. Neither is it possible to be with someone and be that person at the same time. Or when Peter declared "“You are the Christ, the son of the living God.”Yes, Son, not God. Or John in Revelation, where Jesus is declared the "Alpha and Omega," signifying that He is the beginning and the end, the first and the last?God has no beginning and no end. Do you think you'll ever know better than them by reading 100th hand account of what they experienced 1st hand??It doesnt matter what they wrote or thought. Even if they wrote "Jesus is God" one million times over, it would not make Jesus God. No man is God. Aside from this, you ony look at verses that align with your notion that Jesus is God. I listed 20 solid verses that say the opposite and you pretend they are invisible. Anyway thats how all religious people treat their scripture. They always ignore what they dont like in it. |
FreeIgboho:It simply doesnt matter. Maybe you dont understand that there have been other indivdual figures with such a massive impact over millenia. Prophet Muhammad is one. The Buddha is another. And there are still others. Having all of that impact (with attendant prophecies/miracles or none) simply does not suffice to convert anyone into the creator of the universe. At best you can say thats a remarkable man with a remarkable impact on others/ history. |
Boomark:GBAM! |
FreeIgboho:It is said that such things came from God, simple. And God is not a man that he needs a wife, is he? |
FreeIgboho:Oga, I have read it. There are many ways in which Christians (and scripture) define Christ. It will be disingenuous, when challenged on the rationality of one description, to run to another description. For heavens sake, he is also called Lord, the Truth, the Way and the Life, the Living Bread, the True Vine, the Prince of Peace, the Lamb, the Messiah, Emmanuel, I can go on and on. So please stop running from pillar to post: the definition under discussion is "the only begotten son." We are saying that being "begotten" is inconsistent with being uncreated. Shikena. |
FreeIgboho:Your words are not you and you existed even before you could speak or ever spoke, if that analigy suffices. Besides dont change the point: the point is about his being a begotten son, not about being the word of God, whatever that means. |
FreeIgboho:In what sense then? Because for many of you it seems that you think waving the word "spiritual" is enough to exempt you from making sense. |
FreeIgboho:God is uncreated and eternal in the past, yes? So if the son is begotten of God, then he is not eternal on the past - he is a created being. Therefore he cannot be the creator, God. Do you know the history of the term "only begotten?" (monogenes) |
Jakumo:Ese gaan, Don Dada! |
Baxilexi:Most certainly the West is NOT balanced. Neither does it seek moderation, it seeks exploitation and power and it actively seeks the oppression of most of the world. Neither has Trump "exposed" Putin. Putin has always been who he is. There is nothing new Trump has "exposed" about him. Besides Trump himself is one of the most embarrassing fraudsters in the history of civilization. |
Shawarmagirl:And they know it. They are not daft. |
Jakumo:Are you sure you are not misapplying these terms sir? Because we use these terms to categorize women. 3. Meat when sabi fight.I still wonder at the pidgin usage of "when" here. Is it not "wey"? |
LordReed:Don't you sometimes still yearn for a connection with something bigger than yourself out there. A spiritual connection? |
Baxilexi:Nukes are not cheap and the truth is that the vast majority of countries would not bother because the likelihood of ever having to use them is almost nil, and so the argument that they are a waste is strong. Only the few countries who feel a threat from a similarly armed power will bother. As an example if Nigeria had nukes what will she ever use them for? Nothing. And this applies to almost every other country including the nuclear armed ones. Just look at how many conflicts there have been since the second world war and yet not a single nuke has been deployed after that war. That tells you alot. Everyone understands that it is a redline we cannot step back from and that's why the value rests only in deterrence. Beyond that there is the sensitivity about nuclear powers trying to tell others they can't go nuclear. On a moral level that will never fly. A man with a gun will only try to tell you not to have one so he can point it at you and intimidate you and everyone understands that. The truth is that when a nation is determined to go nuclear if they have the resources it's almost impossible to stop them. Pakistan and North Korea are examples. |
