Kukutente23:Babanla appalling oh. |
fxexperts: Jevica: Forkthiefnubu: Shattuck:You are each being unnecessarily simplistic. There are multiple complex factors for the state of development of each and every single nation on Earth today. These factors include geographic, climatic, commercial and migrational factors along with a slew of diverse historical factors too complex to detail here - and anyone should know this without even having to be told. Now the mere fact that one is able to note the various factors at play by no means amounts to "making excuses" or "justifying" our state of backwardness - absolutely not. While there are historical factors that account for our condition, it is simultaneously true that in many ways we have made an absolute mess of things through scandalously unacceptable decisions along with factors such as corruption, laxity, indiscipline and many more. Two things can be true at the same time and we of course must push ourselves harder to accomplish that which we must as a nation. However, if someone comes along and tells you that the fact that we have been lumped in artificial colonial borders which presents us with having one of the most diverse and complicated countries in the world as our own - has nothing to do with our condition - then that person is simply ignorant or lying. And the person who points it out as a factor in our condition is not necessarily just "making excuses." You have to see that those historic factors (e.g: the amalgamation - and many more) play a role, while it remains true that we need to work on our shortcomings. In this same way, many people like to compare us to micro-homogenous states such as Qatar, the UAE, Singapore, etc. This comparison is extremely mis-footed. The challenges which unavoidably bedevil a complex heterogenous behemoth of over two hundred million people and over three hundred different tribes and languages cannot be compared to those which face those tiny homogenous states. And our complexity will always present challenges in terms of conflict-resolution and security which will take generations to overcome - there is no magic here and it is unavoidable no matter what. |
KaLuCh:Various geographic, climatic, migrational, commercial and other factors too complex to go into here also factor in. |
anonimi:If you think this is about making excuses, you are mistaken. |
alabo1:These are micro-homogenous states which you cannot compare to a 300 ethnic group/ behemoth of over 200 million people like Nigeria. Is stating the obvious that it will take time making excuses? Whether you like it or not, it will take time. There is obviously a lot that we do scandalously wrong though. No one is denying that. |
anonimi:These are micro-homogenous states which you cannot compare to a 300 ethnic group/ behemoth of over 200 million people like Nigeria. What do we gain from making excuses for our failuresIs stating the obvious that it will take time making excuses? Whether you like it or not, it will take time. There is obviously a lot that we do scandalously wrong though. No one is denying that. |
LeeSmart:And for you, those countries are picture perfect? Each has its challenges and all still cannot move at the same pace. Remember that Nigeria is a melting pot of over three hundred ethnicities and languages. This in itself creates a level of conflict and tension which slows development. It took Europe centuries to beat its conflicts and arrive where it is today - and Europe as a whole is not as diverse as Nigeria alone. |
SmartPolician:This has nothing to do with the colour of skin. Everything must run it's course. This country is merely 65 years old. A country like England is over one thousand years old. Calm down. |
FreeIgboho:I warned you about this kind of thing. You are dangerously close to doing it again. |
Kukutente23:Its too late. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
This money is still coming from the public purse ultimately. |
WesleyPepper:Yes, especially when you are a struggling poor third world country with severe problems of its own including hunger. |
miketayo:Its deliberate because if they do, the people will melt into those neighboring countries and Palestine will cease to exist. This will only accomplish the ethnic cleansing goal of Israel. |
WesleyPepper:I didnt say they are racists. You said the ordinary white people are "the most considerate and relatively morally upright people in this world." That simply doesnt tally with either history or current reality. Current reality is that there are in fact substantial numbers of racists among "ordinary white people." I therefore pointed out to you that this has nothing to do with race. It has to do with conscience. Show us what your own people that are not racists have doneOur people are not involved in anyway in the oppression going on in Palestine. Western Governments by contrast (and "Western" includes Australia and New Zealand) - have been involved through support of Israel and this is why their people protest much. |
WesleyPepper:This is not about race. We all know how racist "ordinary white people" can be. This is about conscience and people with a conscience all over the world - of all races - know what is happening in Gaza is evil. |
Kukutente23:That lady is very emotional and loses her logic when it comes to Obi. |
FreeIgboho:Again you just enjoy making things up. First you said he was incapable of sin. When his sin is pointed out to you, you then say ah well, thats the only sin he was capable of. Can you not see the shifting of the goal post you are engaging in here? The random speculation? For one who claims we know nothing, you sure know alot and you sure are the master of all knowledge even with the power to shift and change facts at your will. 2. The Bible says a thousand years is a day to God. They died same day they sinnedThis is comical. That turn of phrase is obviously metaphorical. |
FreeIgboho:How then did he disobey God and was that not called sin. In fact it was called original sin. 2. We're talking 100's of thousands of years longWhere did you get this from? How do you know this? Or you just like making things up? ? ? ? ? |
FreeIgboho:This looks like an escapist answer. 1. "Like those in heaven?" How? Are you suggesting that heavenly beings such as angels knew evil, and only man did not know it? 2. The bible records the earliest men as still having extremely long lives. |
Image123:How shameful. |
Image123:Of course so much so that he had to bring a bullion van on the eve of an election. |
FreeIgboho:What do you think is meant by "has now become like one of us?" One of who? Secondly there is a contradiction in your surmise. If man did not have eternal life, then how come death was served as a punishment? That would not make sense if he was already bound to death. |
The idea of no pre-marital sex is an extremely dangerous one that can lead to disastrous marriages as a result of lack of sexual chemistry. |
TeeElesh:Thats exactly what she said, even adding the sexual innuendo. https://web.facebook.com/TVCconnect/posts/i-absolutely-trust-my-husband-but-i-wont-take-chances-and-have-him-bathe-my-daug/2195077370510662/?_rdc=1&_rdr# |
FreeIgboho:I dont have answers to fit - and please recall I said it was a spin. In short, a thought experiment of sorts. But in this spin of course they had eternal life in the spirit realm, that state being natural to that realm. |
FreeIgboho:Well let me throw you a spin on it. In doing this, I am throwing you a caveat. The caveat is this: remember that I do not believe in the stories of the Bible. Therefore do not for one second come back to deploy what I present in any future discussion as "evidence" of my beliefs. I state this categorically because I know the absurdities and somersaults you and your unhinged comrade in arms are capable of. So having said that, here goes: ---------- The Garden was a place where the Lord was. Thus the Tree of Life was there. It was within the primordial worlds and this not of this Earth. The man and woman described there are primordial spiritual man and woman. The spirits of mankind in their spiritual home. The garden was thus the original pure and innocent spiritual dwelling of man. This again is why the Tree of Life was there. Because this was a realm of purity, there was no evil there. That is why the Lord instructed the spirit of man not to touch the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. For touching such would unveil evil, corrupt the pure realm and deprive it of it's essential nature. The serpent represents worldly knowledge and the temptation that comes with it. And once man has eaten of that fruit, he became conscious of worldly things - the knowledge of good and evil. A few things naturally result: 1. The fall: The spirit naturally falls from the pure realm it inhabited - downward to the world of matter - the material realm which is this earth. 2. In coming to the material realm, they necessarily took on material bodies and these are the "clothes of animal skin" which it is said the Lord made for them. 3. Death: The material realm being a finite temporal realm, man becomes subject to death ("you shall certainly die" ) 4. Eternal life is denied man as he has left that pure spiritual realm which is his home ("a flaming sword guards the way back to the Garden" ) Important in all of this is the feeling of unclothedness described in the story. When a hitherto pure spirit descends into matter it will feel it's unclothedness. That's why it requires a body. The cloth of animal skin. ------------ What do you make of this? |
FreeIgboho:Have you ever considered that the story of the Garden of Eden is not a story about an event on Earth. |
Gabrielshow24:No thanks, I have nothing further in terms of you. And I have given my reasons already. Feel free to continue worshipping your fellow man. Good luck and good day. |
Gabrielshow24:There are a thousand easy rebuttals but you are not worth engaging with in terms of any serious expenditure of time and effort. Because you will frustrate the expenditure with incredible absurdities. Therefore simply know this: 1. Perfection is an absolute. It does not admit of an iota of imperfection. It is like purity. Or innocence. Once there is an iota of the reverse in any of these, they lose their essential nature. So please know this and know peace: a thing cannot be both perfect and imperfect, and no amount of grammatical or mathematical somersaults can change that. 2. On the example you gave about a system with limited and limited functionalities. You are speaking of one functionality being limited and another being unlimited. Neither functionality can be the other, and as for the whole system, it can never be described as limitless in all things since it is limited in some functionalities. What is key however, is that while God can have any number of manifestations (functionalities in this instance) one can still not describe God as limited for any reason. 3. Note, with regard to 2 above, that the framing of the question I gave you was how God could be both eternal and not eternal. This is a deeper question. It goes to the essential nature of God as self existent. You thus still need to reconcile this point. A self existent thing can never be contingent. Was the son begotten of the Father or not? Is the son self existent or not? In summary, I am not given to wasting time with your absurdities. One has seen clearly how capable of utter time-wasting incongruities you are. And so the little I write here, once again, I do not write for you, for that would be a waste. I write for future passers by. I pray you all wake up one day and realise how absurd it is to insist that your fellow man is the creator of the universe. That is the highest form of brain washing. That is utter enslavement. |
Gabrielshow24:Stop confusing yourself with your useless sets. Anything which contains an iota of imperfection can never be called perfect. These precepts are mutually exclusive. Especially when applied to a deity. Layered ontology ko, layered ontology ni. You must imagine you are a confidence artist addressing his targets. |
CanadaOrBust:Sometimes I just shudder in my bed before going off to sleep when I wonder what is in these people's heads. |
Gabrielshow24:Different creatures have different methods of reproduction. The form of reproduction whereby a ghost sleeps with a woman is unknown to homo sapiens. |
