Christianity Etc › Re: Why Jesus Is DEFINITELY God * by DeepSight(m): 4:10pm On Jul 14, 2025 |
sonmvayina: Constantine wanted a single religion for his empire. The first order of business for the delegates at Nicaea was to choose between Mithraism and Christianity (the worship of serapis) . They voted to go with Christianity. Then and there they formulated the Nicaean creed. Constantine asked Eusebius to prepare a uniform document from the scriptures they have scattered across the empire. He was the one who combine the different stories into one uniform document. Jesus in the gospel is a composite of various figures. The history of the church was written by Eusebius the master forger. You made this up. |

FreeIgboho: Folks ghis is NOT true AT ALL!!! Nicea is recorded HISTORY, recorded by many participating bishops. Produce ONE legitimate source that supports what you say. You can't. The bishops (including a representative of the pope) debated over several days and in the end voted between "Jesus is God" and "Jesus is NOT God" (Arianism). Constantine just wanted them to come to a consensus. He didn't interfere and didn't care which way they voted You are right: there was never a debate between Mithraism and Christianity at the Council of Nicea, the chief purpose was to resolve the Arian Heresy. So sonmvayina is fantasizing here. Once in a blue moon you actually can say something true or sensible but then again even a broken clock is right twice a day. |

For all the flowery and colourful verbiage, he got some facts wrong
Buhari showed off his ballot paper not voters card He couldn't bring his discipline to bear on our national life because of the crowd he got himself in a bid to become president.
Will Omatseye's paymaster be happy if Buhari took his war against corruption to the gate of all corrupt leaders regardless of status and stature?
This piece is just another example of the treachery being meted on Buhari from the BATist crew No be today Sam dey write anyhow. |

It wasnt just a case of a few missiles slipping through. Secondly it is clear that without the USA, Iran would be more than a match for Israel in a one on one. |

Was it the same thing that the executive submitted that they approved? Have they not changed every budget presented?Did they not reject ministerial nominees? i am not aware of the court refusing to fix a date, i heard from you. i therefore don't know the reason but it's not strange in Nigeria. Some even believed that fPMB died many years ago and called us insincere for not believing. This is not any conspiracy theory. Can you explain the rubber stamp attitude of the NASS. Can anyone explain why the Supreme Court will refuse to fix a hearing date on such a critical constitutional matter? Keep playing the Ostrich. |

Image123: Section 305 grants the President the authority to declare a state of emergency in a state or the federation when there is a clear and present danger to public order, safety, or national security, or significant breakdown of law and order. The declaration must be published in the Federal Gazette and approved by a two-thirds majority of the National Assembly. All these happened. The president has SUSPENDED, not removed the governor. He's exploiting the lacuna in the constitution IMHO. Like i said, the court is to decide. Be serious. 1. The section says nothing about suspension. 2. The NASS did a voice vote - which is impossible to verify as meeting two thirds. 3. The Constitution specifies the only ways in which a governor can cease to hold his office or powers - death, resignation, impeachment, end of tenure and incapacitation. 4. The differnce being made between removal and suspension is a joke because (1) At all events there is no power of removal (2) Suspension is the same thing as a temporary removal for all practical purposes (3) If that argument holds true, he can simply keep renewing the suspension every six months till the end of the tenure and that is the same thing as a removal. |

Kukutente23: You don't seem to think at all. Are you saying if NASS want to impeach Tinubu today, he'll just suspend them to save himself from impeachment citing tensions generated in the country by that move? Can you quote the laws that says the states you listed are more important for Nigeria's economy than others? Do you know how much has been spent on insurgency in Borno in the past ten years? Can I sit and estimate the impact of the insurgency on our budget and revenue plans? What about Benue and Niger states? Can you estimate the cost impact of banditry in this states especially the impact on food inflation? Are you aware that under APC, security note takes the highest in our budgets? Your comment is far from being sensible That fella considers BAT god. |

LordReed: I included a figure to give a visual aid to point out how insignificant such a duration would be against what an eternity would be.
Ordinary sleep deprivation plays havoc with our psyches talk more about enduring something with no end in sight.
I am not convinced our consciousness survives even if I agree that our energies gets recycled into the universe. I think that recycle process actually shows there is no consciousness after death since energy carries no such traits. Consciousness is still a very mysterious thing about which we understand little. I would hesitate to conclude definitely on what energies are conscious and what arent . Some even look at the Earth itself as a living thing and when one sees the life that sprouts from it, it is hard to argue that it is not living, and some thereon say it is also conscious. I do not as yet make these conclusions myself but suffice to say that I can respect the fact that there are likely different types of consciousness we dont understand as yet. |
