Kukutente23: I don't know of any relationship between the Council of Nicea and the Bible. My knowledge of those events you mentioned was to solve a theological debate not to compile the Bible so I don't really know what you're going with it. Like I said, the Bible as it is presently known is not the work of the Catholic Church. They've had some influence over it definitely but they cannot claim sole ownership
Guy, calm down with Muhammad. You should be a good student of religion, history and philosophy instead of sounding like a fanatic or extremist. It will interest you to know that my debate with Muslims here, end here. Most importantly, I don't engage them to demean their religion but to open their eyes to some home truths especially that dude who thinks he has some moral ground to attack Christianity. I have studied various religions and texts and I can proudly say Christianity still remains the best and most illuminating religion for humanity that can give us what we really seek in this world if practiced as Jesus taught. PS - Practicing what Jesus taught is good. Except the part about saying "turn the other cheek." That is too pacifist and encourages violence. There must be a balance of terror to stop violence. |

The Council of Nicea was already the Catholic Church. And they decided the doctrines of Christianity and what to include in the Bible and what to exclude. The Arian heresy was about the Doctrine of the Trinity - Arius disagreed with it, and most of the bishops also did - infact the sitting pope at the time did as well. There are hundreds of books that were kept out of the bible by the Church. Constantine the Great enforced the Bible to give Rome a united religion. No Protestants added any books to the Bible after the Catholic Chuch arranged it. All that happened is that the apocrypha does not appear in non-catholic bibles. What I am telling you is that you assume the Bible is perfect. No. It ws a political work. As for Muhammad, na God go punish am. |

SmartyPants: But when you say this it sounds like you are saying Tinubu just sat down and said let me see what I can do to make the Nigerian people suffer. Come on. Clearly, the suffering is as a result of well-intentioned policies.
I agree that he has not helped matters by being lavish but you should also understand that any effective president knows that he must get the National Assembly on his side in order to push through with reforms, and Tinubu's reforms have been bold so far. Without a supportive National Assembly things like the current Tax bill would have been dead on arrival from day one. Well lets look at the instant subsidy removal on day one. Well, they claimed it was gone. How come the price went up again and again? In fact the only place in the world where prices are increased two weeks after a nationwide protest was here. The only place in the world where PMS prices were increased in one day by over 200 per cent was here. Instantly you then float the naira and make everything worse. Can you just look at the prices of groceries and foodstuff - and medicines? Do you know how many people have died as a consequence? Look, its not good enough to say he must have the NASS on his side and therefore bribe them. That is corruption. As for the TAX Bill - it is not enough. The only contentious issue there is allocation of VAT. This is a man who led protests against subsidy removal in 2012 on the streets. He didnt waste one second once inaugurated and removed it totally with four cynical words. Tell me, was that honest? Okay, you then also remove electricity subsidies - drastically causing greater problems. Look my brother, when Tinubu won, I actually thought it was a good thing because he is a visionary businessman. However lets admit he is not doing well. Tell me, what is he doing with France? Is that not corruption? He has made this country the slave of the IMF and WB. I dont think its right to say this kind of leader means well. He is out to destroy Nigeria and kill many of its people with harsh policies while he lives large. Why did he buy a new jet? Was it necessary? Why did he grant Chagoury a N15 Trillion contract - which was not approved by the NASS or even considered at all. It didnt go through any form of procurement rules of the BPP. There are too many things to point to. Its not enough to say "he means well" when people are being killed by his harsh policies. |

When they are ready they'll tell us the truth. Yes oh. Good morning. How are you today. You didnt answer my question about the Council of Nicea. |
Politics › Re: Labour Leaders Confirm Port Harcourt Refinery Is Operational, Functioning by DeepSight(m): 11:27am On Dec 10, 2024 |
SmartyPants: Correct. And that's what I'm doing actually. It's too soon to celebrate conclusively but we can appreciate progress especially since some are so quick to wail at the slightest retrogression.
Personally I take it as a sign that Tinubu means well and he is here to work. Whether the rest of the system will cooperate we shall see. Not sure Tinubu means well. Too many other signs point to the reverse. The drastic increase in hardship since day one of his tenure is an issue. This, coupled with his lavish corruption and luxuries on himself and the NASS simply does not indicate a leader that means well. |

nairalanda1: No, subsidy has gone, so thus it is profitable to refine at home.
And eventually more refineries will come on line.
NNPC too needs to lay hands on some profit, they still owe money from years of pretending that fuel prices were low, on APC 's orders. According to you, the only evil in Nigeria was subsidy. Of course, you cannot see the co-relation between Dangote coming live and the sudden ressurection of this PH Refinery. I am very sure if your prick cannot stand you will blame subsidy. |

If not, the naysayers would actually be happy when the government proves them wrong, after all it is for the benefit of the common man if things like these work. But nope, they are all silent and bitter because their negative talk is being confronted by workings. Watch that refinery for at least six months before you conclude oh. |

Kukutente23: Lol. When you describe Muhammad as one of the worst criminals, I think you're not being fair to him.
I believe he was actually quite religious and believed in the supreme God of the Jews being the true God. His problem lies in his inability to let go of his tribal and personal proclivities. It's a flaw that flows through his message and ministry. He ended up making the religion about himself simply because Jews and Christians rejected him. That's where he got misguided and deviated.
As for the Bible, it is not a work of the catholics. The most popular bible in use today is the one compiled by the Protestants especially Martin Luther who removed some canonical texts from the bible. So to reduce the bible as it is today to the work of catholics is a fallacy My dear friend, tell me what you know about the Council of Nicea and the Arian Heresy. And please dont forget Constantine the Great who presided over all these things. As for Muhammad - I repeat - with full confidence - he was simply a rogue and criminal of the highest order. |

Kukutente23: Will doffman and AntiChristian agree?
They believe the Qur'an is a revelation and the last book after Torah, Zabir and Injeel
They also believe those books are lost and only quran is still with us though they have not told us why Allah can't just tell us where the books are.
They also insist the bible is corrupted though they can't tell us which part is corrupted and which is not
Lastly, they can't explain why so the other prophets are from Isaac's line and only Muhammad is from Ishmael's I don't care whether anyone agrees. That's who Muhammad was. He would literally suddenly say he has heard a new verse in order to fvvuck a woman or kill a person. He had no integrity and was one of the worst criminals in history. However the Bible is also corrupted mostly by those who put it together - the Catholic Church. |

Kukutente23: Islamic liar. When has NDLEA ever arrested people without mentioning their names? I asked you for their names not the news. Is the jinn in you only good with Arabic comprehension?
So why didn't Muhammad follow the dictates of this verse by freeing the two black slaves instead of selling them into further slavery from his slavery? Muhammad disobeyed his own quran!! What a prophet!! How many times do I have to describe Muhammad to you. He was an illiterate medieval thief, paedophile, mass murderer, plagiarist, sexual pervert, pretender, caravan robber. His so called Quran is largely plagiarized from the Old Testament. If Muhammad wants to sleep with his house girl, he will just say he heard a new verse from Allah that permits it. End of. |

Kukutente23: Indeed many religion are full of lies. But there is also an element of truth in all religion even in islam as flawed as it is. For example, Islam accepts that man is a creature of God which is a fundamental truth Also, Islam accepts the supremacy of Godhead over all other creatures which is another truth The question is always how far or how closer to God a religion brings you Okay. I accept this as well. |

It is crass arrogance formed through insolence to claim superiority over all man's known understanding of God Religion is but a vehicle to understand God and stand right by him If you claim to be above religion, you claim to be above all of man's knowledge of God which makes you an arrogant son of the devil But many religions are full of lies.
