PDPwayoo: Not only security threat. They r criminals.I bought a land from Omoniles at Ikorodu and got it half fenced before I travelled out of the country, when I came back after 3yrs to start something on the land, I was surprise that the land has been sold to another person,I confronted the Omonile head and he told me that the land would be restored to me as it was sold in error and I was asked to pay a ratification fee which I paid because of the assurance they gave me. A date was fixed for a meeting but lo! and behold the story changed when the chief and his kinsmen realized that I am from Niger Delta and bears a name similar to an Igbo name and the man who bought the land is a Yoruba man..They called me that the meeting cannot hold on the said date and another date was fixed but what got me thinking was the chief who knows my name and calls me by name started calling me Omo Igbo which I vehemently asked him to stop...I am yet to recover this said parcel of land and my money up until now....I would restrain my self from calling the high chief and his kinsmen thieves or tribalists because the matter is already in court.... |
Ok....we hope for better days of improved electricity supply....meanwhile I have not had light for two days now. |
naptu2: There are so many things missing in that article that it makes it difficult for someone to make an informed comment.Mehn u hv changed my perception about you with this single contribution of yours to promote justice, equity and fairness....If this is the original Naptu. |
silent don: His fellow Igbo traders frm neighboring shops.came out and wanted to intervene but the boy started saying things like "let anybody touch me and see, because u're all igbo u want to beat me abi? Let one person touch me and see if all your shops won't be burnt down......"The Igbo traders came out to intervene to stop further fracas btw the Duo but the young Yoruba boy brought out the ethnic card as shown on your post.....Who do you think is the problem now? Did the Igbo trader told him that he is the owner of Ilorin? The crime of the Igbo trader is simply that he wanted to earn a living legitimately rather run after buses on the street collecting fees. |
silent don: I was walking the street of Taiwo in ilorin (has the highest density of Igbos in ilorin) yesterday, an igbo clot seller called a boy (a Yoruba) to buy his goods the boy said he's not buying, the igbo boy was trying to get him to at least check out the goods in his shop, so he advanced closer and tried to touch (hold) d boy as many traders do but as he moved closer, the Yoruba boy warned him not to touch him.. The igbo boy did and that earned him a slap.My friend go and get a life,I thought you were a thinking fellow but your post smells of ethnic bias and hate which you claim to abhor.....You are quick to assert the faults of Igbo's but you failed in your post to caution the Yoruba's who are using instrument of the state to suppress and oppress the Igbo's in all ramifications....The Igbo trader you mentioned meant no harm to the Yoruba boy he was only trying to make a living but the Yoruba boy gave him a slap.....What kind of sense of judgement do you have? Shame to you.... |
plaindealer: So, you are a just another troll after all...Just like you. |
Seriousbusiness: Keep quiet ,so because FG owns festac the resident should not pay there tenanment rate to the LG?Yes,they should abide by the laws but don't throw insults at them.....tell me how a commissioner could term legitimate business men as a security threat because of minor disagreement on tax payment which ordinarily could be resolved through a court process if they claim to be democrats and progressives. |
Good development.......I hope the youths will continue to use technology to fight the ills of the society, not just with the police but In all sectors....Wish I can catch OBJ while stuffing ballot box or Buhari discussing with Shekau behind close doors. |
Security! Security!! Security!!! Regulation! Regulation!! Regulation!!! Read&Understand! Read&Understand!! Read&Understand!!! Comply or Go to Village! Comply or Go to Village!! Comply or Go to Village!!!
I don`t engage bigots..... |
Thats no longer a legal tender. Mr. Sheyi Coker, added that the position was no longer valid with the recent concessioning of the complex to private investors.
In that case LASG should meet the private company and negotiate with it on how to tax the people and not going there to intimidate and extort money from the people. |
LASG should stop harassing Igbo traders in Lagos State and labeling them all sorts of names......If the traders refused to pay tax to the LASG because the market and land belongs to the Federal Government how does that constitute a security threat? Nonsense. |
Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they brought into our lives. ~ Anonymous It is my wish that their families,friends,well-wishers and party members find the fortitude to cope with this irreparable loss. |

agbameta: Your ignorant and layman parameters means nothing.BUSTED....We know the calculations of your masters and be assured EFCC is been furnished daily with their activities and over bloated contracts.. |
Is this reason why they are demanding for autonomy? I beginning to give up on this country...Today it is police killing innocent and unarmed Nigerian, tomorrow it is the relocation of Nigerians against their wish, next tomorrow it is 5 greater than 32 and next tomorrow again its building a sub-standard bridge for 3 billion naira...All effort of those with the constitutional privilege is aimed to impoverish the already malnourished masses. |
berem: Nigerians na follow follow people! We sabi follow no be lie! check my profile on nairaland and see my followers. If to say i wan open church for nairaland, i go get many customers.Just checked no be lie but I know they are not dumb like Oga Fash followers because you they feed them daily with the Tory wey dem wan hear.......I beg make I add my followers make we open church for your parlor. |
150,000 followers and only 3 tweets from the governor ever since his account was created......then what are they following him for?One of the basic reason for having a twitter account is for sharing what you are doing at any given moment with other people online especially your followers.... |
agbameta: So you are admitting that you based your rubbish on zero knowledge and you are just subjecting us to your ignorance? From all parameters which I have personally used as a basis for my conclusion, the bridge is not worth the 3 billion Naira allegedly committed into the project as claimed by the government....As an agent of the government I put it forward to you to request your masters to make these information public. |
agbameta: You can not assert that this is an over bloated project simply because you are yet to show us precisely what you based that conclusion on. Is it cost comparison with similar project, similar terrain, similar workforce, cost of goods, supplies and materials, cost of labor and so n.I am not a witch to fly into the books of the government to get this facts, however, the reason why we have the freedom of information bill so we the people can have access to this information and make informed decisions and favorable criticism about the government as you aspect. So long the government continues to operate in secrecy, we shall continue to speak, write and protest against any obnoxious half truth been peddled by the government and their agents. We will continue to criticize the activities of those with the constitutional responsibility to lead be it PDP,APC,PDM led government. It is a societal anomaly that has to be corrected to provide a better Nigeria than we met it for our children born and unborn and i employ you to join this band of progressive,non-partisan and true Nigerians to achieve this great feet because history will judge us. |
