Naughty naughty dog. I'm so clueless here; maybe nail his bowl 2d ground? Okay that was a joke...

Lol! You can't imagine what he will do with a nailed bowl on the floor when he become an adult, if the behavior is not nipped.
I hope to hear from more people before sharing my technique.

Cooper recently developed this bad habit....Once you serve him his food he will use his leg unbalance to the bowl. It is a behavior that has to be corrected as early as possible. How can this behavior be nipped? I will like us to share ideas on it....

I am working on it but will like to hear from you..."Yes You".

Pointless trading words with you cos it's obvious you weren't told who your biological parents were. When Obasanjo ruled the first tenure, did you kick him out cos he didnt construct eastwest road? Of the enormous amount of money wasted during obj tenure and nothing to show for it, what did you do to unseat him? My friend, go and find who your true parents are.

I feel very sorry for you and will still insist that you live with it that GMB is the President elect of Nigeria.
You cannot change that fact because God has ordained it.
What i expect from every reasonable SS/SE individual is to tow the line of the incumbent President by accepting defeat, wish the new President elect well and watch how he builds the nation in 4 years.

Cry a river the reality is here GMB is the President elect of this great nation.
I fought a lot of your type on twitter and other media`s during the campaign and i will never be tired to fight for a better Nigeria, give my support to anyone who can make it better and go against anyone who wants to destroy it irrespective of his tribe or ethnicity.

Please deal with it and be informed that i will not dignify your stupidity by responding to any of your mentions.

Long Live The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Long Live The President Elect Mr. M. Buhari.

Well, i write boldly so all can see clearly.

The earlier we stop deceiving ourselves in this country that we are ONE NIGERIA, the better it will be for us. Nigeria has never been one, it's not one and it can never be one. Let's just stop deceving ourselves while we keep forcing ourselves into this unworkable union. The obvious is already there. Looking at the pattern of votings and the results in the just concluded presidential election, one needs not be told that Nigeria is not one. Incase you still not understand what i mean, this is it.

All the northerners voted in favour of their brother (Buhari), same went to westerners for their brother (Osinbanjo) and even also same to the easterners/southerners for their brother (GEJ). No tribe wanted their brother to fail in the race knowing fully well that apart from political affiliation, a brother from the same tribe is a true brother. I then ask, why do we still deceive ourselves into a forceful union?

All the northerners residing in the east/south left the areas to go vote massively for their tribe man, not for the interest of the "one nation", but for the fact that he is a tribe man. They all voted and got their mission accomplished and then came back to the south/east and start their business again.

Well, sooner than expected, a day shall come when we, the southerners shall shed blood, kill and destroy unimaginably and from that day, the nation called Nigeria shall stop to exist.

Mark Today's date.

Go and sit down, i am an Ikwerre man from Rivers State and voted for Buhari, three of my employees who are Yoruba`s and one from the North refused to vote for Buhari but voted Jonathan in spite of my plea that they vote for Buhari.. Today, we got back to work laughed over it and even had some drinks together.

So speak for yourself alone and stop using the word "ALL".
Nonsense ediot.,.. Six (6) years East-West road is still under construction, look back home and tell me what Jonathan did for the Niger Delta people?

He and his fellow PDP cronies were simply amassing wealth, building their fortune.
I am so happy today because you all will be disappointed after 4 years of Buhari`s regime because every Nigerian will be happy and proud of this country for casting their vote in favor of this straight forward and upright man.

Long Live The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Long Live The President Elect Mr. M. Buhari.

We don't need hope.
We need development.
That's something Buhari. Can't offer at his age.

Dont forget we are just electing someone to be running our collective businesses for us.

It's a pity the best brain we could go for is an 75 year old man.
Jonathan may be slow but the alternative should have been a vibrant young man.

Every top American and European Politician retired before that age.

Brother don`t worry we are not in America or Europe Nigerians have decided that they want a 75 or 82 year old man..Please accept it in good faith and give him the chance like we gave the Otueke 52year old man and he failed us.

I will be on tears should GMB win this election, i never thought it will happen in my time for an opposition party to win an incumbent at the presidential level.. Forget your political leaning and see that GMB winning is the hand of work God.

God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Mehn my DSTV bill was up on the 27th of March,i went to a local agent to pay due to time constraint and inter switch will not accept my ECO bank ATM card and that is the only bank that i have an ATM card..Surprise Surprise up till this moment no connection, i called the agent he said he has paid,i should contact DSTV, spent over 1,000 airtime calling DSTV customer care to no avail and by 4PM the automated voice prompt said we have closed for the day.. Imagine since 28th i have not watched TV to follow the update.

I am following on twitter, NL and listening to 99.3 Nigeria Info via the internet.
The only thing that will save that agent tomorrow if he opens his office is if GMB wins this election,in fact, i will buy him Orijin otherwise passersby and the entire neighbor hood will not be able to separate the fight.

Family / Re: 10 Lessons I've Learned About Marriage From Divorce by deeptesting(m): 4:18pm On Mar 28, 2015
Marriages will continue to crash considering the high level of selfishness in the world today.
Having being married for 8 years, i took time out to a quite location to ask myself some deep and personal question about marriage:

1. Without being married you can get a child
2. Without being married you can have sex
3.Without being married you can have a lady who can cook and serve you food
4.Without being married you can have a lady who can do the house chores with all pleasure
5. Without being married you can have anything done that a wife or husband can do for you

Then the big question what is the essence of marriage?

@OP i am happy you left your first marriage and can find peace in your second marriage, what i can`t understand why people remain in unhappy relationship.

I personally would want to be single and that will soon come to fruition in few years,i want to be happy.

The act is condemnable but you the women folks on NL should stop running your mouth as if the woman is completely innocent.

The point is if verbal & emotional abuse were visible like physical abuse women will bury their head in shame, unfortunately the society plays down on it till the man has lost all morals and sense of dignity.

I am not in support of physical abuse on women, i had a case recently that if i had not controlled myself, i believe my case would have been up on NL but good i had Jack Daniels whisky at home, i am in love with spirit drinks and when i am angry one shot will calm my nerves.

God has placed so much strength on your mouth use it to pray for your husbands and utter words of comfort to build and not to verbally abuse and destroy your home.

PS: Don't forget to vote for Buhari on March 28th 2015 been tomorrow.

...the part my dog hates. The deworming and anti-rabies visits to the vet is a nightmare. Refuses a muzzle, I need to 'tactically manoeuvre' an heavy chain around his neck to a pillar, and give a choke-hold for the vet to do her(a she) job. For a 2yr old very strong dog, I get injured most times. And the world becomes normal to him again. I was not fully involved when he was younger(like correcting a dog from 0-13months), so I might just live with this bad behaviour. Any help to correct this would be appreciated. Nice Job Man

I took a deep breath after reading your comment, you know people may disagree with me that is fine but for me having a dog that i am not in total control of is a 'NO" "NO".

One from the obedience training the first thing i do is to establish the leadership role and i do this assertively,my dog has to understand that i am the Alpha and Omega and calls the shot; any unruly behavior from him or her must be nipped once noticed. I hope others will come in to make contribution on this issue but my understanding is your dog has associated the Vet visit with pain and this started from his Puppy days and so you have to find a way round to make the Vet visit a pleasurable one, don`t forget dogs can be conditioned to do whatever the owner wants them to do if you know how to go about it.

The truth is that the owners are not dog breeders. The best food I've seen them give the dog is Jojo and indomie mixed with geisha. I've never seen a vet visit the dog or the owners take it out for a walk...they should visit this thread and learn. It hurts me to see that cute dog being trained like a goat but there's nothing I can do.

I feel with the current increase in dog bites the government will soon look into it to ensure owners take responsibility for the training of their dogs and also put up punitive measures.

By the way how many dog instructors do we have in Nigeria?

Let us also hope you don't become a victim of dog attack because you are their neighbor. lol

I think ur getting the credit coz u started early enough. My neighbour's rott is about 7 - 8 months, and very silly. Once it sees u with food it goes haywire, barking and jumping on ur body, at times threatening to bite. Last Sunday, I saw it nudge and snatch a slice of bread from my neighbour's son. Guess it's too late for him now to understand

At 7-8Months it is not too late but Dog Instructors will tell you that obedience training begins at 5weeks or 8 weeks.
The Rot can still be thought good manners or behaviors but it will take time and patience from the owners.

Deeptesting, I've heard a lot about this dog treat, but my question is: do dogs even understand the treat is given to them for their obedience? How do u make a dog know it has to earn that? Good job, bro!

They understand, the idea is positive reinforcement to a particular behavior. Example, i am teaching him the "sit" command.

The moment i bring the treat, i will get it closer to his nose and he will be yearning for it, then i will gently hold his back side to make him sit and say "sit".. The moment he sits i will give him the treat, timing is very important.

I also do this with when i want to feed him or give him water, so gradually he understands that he has to sit to get something from me either food or treat.

Don't forget when i try to gently bring his back side down i associate the word "sit" with it.

We are still on it and this will take approximately 2weeks for me because i don't try to rush or force him and i keep the lesson short. I will soon face out the treat and just saying "sit" he will act accordingly.

One thing i have learnt is you can condition a dog to do anything that you want him/her to do..Dogs love their owners and wants to do anything to please them.
