Jobs/VacanciesRe: How An Office Cleaner Outshined 6 'graduates' Today by delishpot: 6:21am On Jan 30, 2016
monacobull:
Let me start off by saying at this point i believe Nigerian graduates have a lot of work to do. Its taking a lot of effort for me to contain the level of disappointment im currently feeling towards our university leavers. I work in a multinational company and i have had the chance to partake in the interview process of some roles the company advertised. Most of the time im usually appalled at the errors and goofs i see on CV's. So let me get to the main story.

Six graduates came into the office this morning to interview for an internship position. Which was going to pay a basic salary and also some nice commissions. All the interviewees were very disappointing despite the very easy questions which was for a very simple role. In fact none of them showed enough quality to half consider them for the job. undecided

After the last person left, I and my colleague had already given up and hoped to do a fresh advert for the role. But 1 other person that was present at the interview was a senior staff from our foreign headquarters. And he suddenly suggested that we give the office cleaner a chance. At first i thought he was saying it out of frustration but this guy was damn serious. Long story short, we called the cleaner in and he handled our questions well and even scaled through 80% of the objection statements we threw at him! Whats more is that this guy isn't exactly educated and he even stammers! WTF !!!! Agreed he might have had better answers because he knows some more about the company having worked with us for a while, but still on still!...to outshine 6 graduates!...ah. shocked

Finally finally we have decided to take him on a trial role and give him the required training. Im still shocked beyond belief. huh

Naija graduates, please get your shit together. angry angry angry
Did you let them know what company was calling?
What kind of questions did you ask them ?
What were your expectations from them?
Did they apply with cover letters?
I would like to know these.

But truly Nigerian graduates have lost their quality. 80% graduate by cheating and bribing their way through school and even at that, they lack the desire to learn and update themselves. Our youth have been abused and failed by the society. Poor teaching skills and strategy, poor class rooms and even poorer vission for their future. The youth need to sit up and the government need to back them up too.
We need to encourage ourselves, if we fall down and no one offers us a hand, we should try to get up ourselves.
I remember in IMSU around 2000-2001 a pal of mine was studying computer science and he said for the past 2 years they were not given a computer to work with. NOT 1ce. He had to register in a computer school to get first hand knowledge. What a shame. And the lectures were forcing them to pay before they could use a computer some years into the course. How do you expect such a person to graduate with 1st class knowledge in his chosen field? Poor boy later travelled abroad to do his masters. Imagine if he was from a poor home?

Instead of wishing her and that baby well or seeing what you can do to help other you g girls from passing through the same fate, you are there wondering how she has started forking? Shior. All women leaving negative comment here are a scurge to our society. They should be sent on exile. We do not need modern day witches.

RomanceRe: Orgasm: Reason Most Women Starve Their Spouse, Lesson To All Men by delishpot:
ironheart:
thats so true, but you can't really satisfy a woman in bed, the more you delay orgasm, the more sex she want. you can delay orgasm for 50min yet she will still tell you she is not satisfied. despite her having multiple orgasm until she gets dry, which you can feel.
If your woman gets dry, that is because she is not feeling your love making. Many men think sex is just humping up and down in their women for hours. Lubrication occurs when a woman is sexually aroused. Any time your woman dries up, it should be a reminder for you that you are doing a bad job of it. Don't be deceived, women can fake orgasms too. So she prolly was faking it so you do not say she takes long to do so.
The fact that in naija, women esp the married ones are looked with corner eye should they show their sexual prefferences or dissapointments doesn't help matter.
HealthRe: My Experience At St. Catherine’s “specialist” Hospital, Port Harcourt by delishpot: 5:23pm On Jan 29, 2016
uncover:
I don't know if that will be possible; you know medicine and the "ethics" of the profession. Like a doctor once told me, there are no first class, second class or third class doctors. A qualified doctor is a qualified doctor. And considering the fact that there is a lot of corruption in the system and those who will do the grading probably have hospitals too, I doubt if the hospital grading will be totally effective. But you are right. It's really important for the public to know what to expect from each hospital. I wouldn't have wasted my time going to that hospital if I had known that their services are LTA.
Not to classify the doctors but the hospitals based on the equipments, experience of the doctors, availability of doctors, etc.
FamilyRe: Must I Befriend My Husband Mistress Before There Will Be Peace In My Home? by delishpot: 8:54am On Jan 29, 2016
menxer:
I surmise the wife did not bring anything worthwhile into the marriage.

It's like what I told a friend, relationship is an investment, any investor would do the needful to protect his/her investment.

For I see no reason a mere side-chick could make you, a bonafide wife, to feel and act so insecure, unless there is something else you aren't letting on.
Not true. There are thousands of homes where the wife dedicates time, money and other resources yet the men still treat them like shit. I know of 3 that the men beat and 1 got blinded in 1 eye before she decided to leave with her kids she dedicated 15 years to that marriage and did everything she could to make it work. She was dedicated and kind. I know her personally. I have seen bankers quit jobs because husband said so, I have seen business women close shop and move to other towns with their HUSBANDS because family co es 1st. So not every wife is usless. And being a stay at home mom is not a curse too. No mother should be made to feel inadequate because when has chosen to stay home and care for her growing family.
I think the problem is not necessarily what money or furtune the woman has. It is the attitude of the man even before marriage that the women overlooked. They married him because they were worried about what people will say or because he has money.

ronald4lif:
Are you working or just a sit-at-home mum? If yes, get the hell out of that marriage before it cost you your life.

The man is fully aware you'd never beg the mistress and it's just employing that as a means to torment and suppress you. No sane man would assume his wife will plead with his mistress. No one.

The man doesn't only cheat on you but have the cojones to flaunt it on your face? That's extreme and no woman should condone such.

You knew he was authoritarian but still went ahead to marry him? Why do you women always proceed to marrying someone who doesn't possess the demeanor that conforms and it's acceptable to you?

You must take responsibility for marrying him. He's never the fault but you who went ahead to settle with him despite his repulsive mien.

Exit that marriage before it takes your life.
Exactly. Women see the writing on the wall but they still marry the man anyway. They even consider it victory when they become the wife and laugh at the other girls he was cheating on them with.
Women need to be re educated about what it takes to being a woman and human.

My dear I thought so at first too.

But you can be shot in detention and branded a kidnapper or ritualist. Quite possible if you cannot pay what police demand.

Your innocence has no relevance. And nothing will happen. Apo six still have got no justice till now.

Bystanders believed there was a police in plain clothes among them. You only have to touch the baby & get arrested.

A person who sustains serious gunshot wound from shout-out between police & robbers will not be treated by any doc until police permit is presented.
Before you reach police to get permit, the innocent victim has bled to death.

A lot of things are not well with 9ja o. We're not facing reality yet.
Very sad indeed. This is heartbreaking.

I'm not surprised coz most aunties I've known are super wicked, all my life I've not seen one lady who treats her maid like her own child or sibling. Parents should learn how to give birth to the amount not kids they can train, if u know u are very poor, one or two kids is enough?! why fill d community with kids n send them out to be treated worse than slaves?! Just imagine what dis little girl has to go through! Bikonu, ego'le bu bread? (how much is bread?) that this little girl had to go through hell for an extra slice of bread......
In my case the reverse is the case. I gave up on maids. They felt our being nice and treating them like family meant that we were too desperate to keep them. They started to missbehave . we always went for 18yrs old. People were telling us we were spoiling them that we should make them know their position of in the house. To make them work very hard and not provide them same stuff we get for our kids. But I can not. How can I live with a person I can not treat as a younger sister? True true sha, we spoilt them. Na there my neighbour dey treat her own like slaves yet they stayed and served the hell out of her. I think maids are like bf and gf, the good people get the bad ones and the bad people get the good ones.

You nor happy say at least Road Safety had fuel in their car. Not unusual for police to claim no fuel as an excuse not to respond to emergency.

A new born baby died by the roadside in Akwa some days back. Police called said they were aware and had informed Environmental people. People stood by, nobody out of police fear touched the baby. The baby cried there for hours and succumbed to harmattan, hunger and thirst. Na today. embarassed
So people watched the baby die because of fear? Those people are worse than the police they so much fear.

This government should stop this tradition of corporate begging as it does little to revamp the already beleaguered Nigerian psyche. The government should instead invest in the educational sector in grants to research and development in selected fields for future development. This I believe is the nucleus of any society with the future in mind.
They will not listen to this advice even if you turn the message to air that they breathe in 24/7.

Anyhoe I believe they will still need weapons before the young shall grow.

So you believe she will be doing nothing true true? A typical naija woman will sit down and do nothing if her man has cash to open a shop for her or if she's gets offered a decent job she will not accept it she will just wish to sit and do nothing? If you believe that, then you will believe anything.

This is why I said Nigerian hospitals should be graded and strictly monitored so that they do exactly what you they are classed to do.
From 0-6 stars or classes so the public knows what to expect from each hospital and they can know where to turn to when they need specific care and attention.

Too bad. This is beyond regular robbery. This is why there is stiff penalty for armed robberies. I do not pity those sentenced to death when caught even if they stole only #20 as long as they carry a gun or knife or even spoon to rob, it is armed robbery.
They will be caught for sure.
