Elueme: This thread has entered d 5th page and still counting..been an interesting read.. On d subject of discuss,I ll comment in comparative with the past leaders of the country and the level of structural and socio decadence prior to his ascention as well how advanced the country is.. The president in 16 months in office has set the ball rolling for the rebirth of a new nigeria, where conservatism and stereotypism( bus.as usual thing) is fast becoming a thing of d past.. This he's achieving by groundbreaking policies and frameworks most of which have been apt. This no leader except obj who attempted has done. The power sector reform is the 1st to yield visible results cos d initiative was given a serious reinvogoration by GEJ.. Others in public service reforms have saved d country billions from recurrent exp budget, Agric reforms being initiated if we fully comply will lead d country 2 an alternative economic heave and not only wil it create much employment for our rural populace but also help bridge d rural urban wealth distribution gap. The achievement in d transp sector were raised by someone earlier wch nobody has disputed cos facts speak 4 self.. For road rehabilitation, I just left lag dis evening and I sw d oshodi apapa concessioning wrk, saw d 3rd mainland bridge nd was also opportuned 2 plight d Benin Ore axis nd can tell works are seriously going on.. This gives credence 2 d other roads claims as published by thisday newspapers in May.. Are we denying the cleansing cum revelation of d oil sector? How abt d PIB as proposed? Isn't that loudable? In aviation, under dis admin did we meet d international standard on airways safety.. As I type d Kano airport rehabilitation is complete and works seriously ongoing in all other major airports.. No govt has had it this good.. How abt education where we now have an all time highest budgetary allocation in history, reasonable demands by ASUU has been meant, 9 fed varsities have been established and monies for kick off released.. Has any govt achieved dis feat? How about d ministry of Youth with d U win initiative and nysc reforms to encourage performance? Has any govt tot of such iniatives b4? These are just but a few but the point am driving @ is, the citizens need more but he who is faithful in a little ll be faithful in bountifulness.. Comparatively he remains d best 2 have ruled but may not be d best the country ll ever have.. Considering the country he inherited in May last year nd where it is now, the man has performed beyond expectations even in d faces of daunting voluntary political distabilisation as orchestrated by foes( d opposition party) nd friends alike cos of regional and religious bigotry. To even focus in d midst of these challenges is y the president shd be scored high.. It will take principle and dogged vision to stand as a president in a country like dis @ a time like dis.. People call Yar Adua, but may I ask what he did outside the rule of law which he entrenched? Amnesty was a success cos of GEJ.. He brokered truce by going 2 d creeks as VP then.. In what way has GEJ broken d rule of law? He strenghtened it 4der by signing FOI.. You may not like his person but don't ignore his msgs and commend him in tamdem with his works y we hope 4 more.. Abachas toughness didn't mk nigeria greater.. Violence attacks may not end BH.. The man is on course nd Nigeria is working again.guy, you too much. And Nigeria will work above our imagination. Make dem siddon day vex,the change is here and you would do yourselves good by accepting this, least you are left behind. |
I no fit laff again. Some posts on nairaland kinda ve that effect on me. For me,i got to shout out to three posters in this thread,@ taharqa(men,i loved your write-up and could not help but agree more,i have never seen a write-up more concise and pretty. @ihedinobi,you too much. You both took words outta ma mouth, thanks so much, and @taharqa,they won't respond, they suffer from a pathological urge to always criticize, whereas they are no better. @sessydool,respect your view but i don't agree with you in certain aspects. @kobojunkie,if you can,get a copy of the nation newspaper, dated july 17,2012, page 22,and read the article by Gen Bakut(rtd). It aint much but you can actually get an idea on the state of things in the power sector |
lanre_front: First of all, you keep hearing about the 40 men laptop brigade because it's real. Noone is senile here.am not goi lanre_front: First of all, you keep hearing about the 40 men laptop brigade because it's real. Noone is senile here.am not going to argue with that, its your right to believe whatever you want to believe, as much as it is my right to believe what i want, i can't force my belief on you and neither should you, that is why i think in a constructive argument or discussion, you should respect your opponent, hear him out, not insult or tag. If you do so, what makes you less different from Boko Haram? This is why i had to laugh when someone had to insult me, calling me a member of the 40 man group, and another had to say i lived outside the country. I do hope you understand my view point now. If you respect my point of view, i will respect yours and vice versa. What i have said earlier i will reiterate, When Anini was arrested by the authorities, it was information gotten from a patriotic citizen that helped. if El-Rufai can help in any way, he should, not that he should keep finding fault. To those who seem ignorant about the lagos-ibadan expressway, i give you this link, and yes, in case you don't know, try to get a copy of the land use act of 1978, and you will understand that all land in Nigeria belongs to the state govts, http://dailytimes.com.ng/article/bi-courtney-begin-expansion-lagos-ibadan-expressway " BCHSL spokesperson, Dipo Kehinde, said the decision to begin from the Ibadan end of the road was made due to a lack of cooperation on the part of the Lagos and Ogun state governments. With the new arrangement, the concessionaire is set to move its operational base to Ibadan. The firm, which has commenced movement of its equipment from its former base in Ogun State, experienced some disruption when officials of the Ogun State Government and police officers reportedly went to the yard, arrested some workers and forcibly removed equipment. “BCHSL has petitioned the Federal Government over the seizure of its equipment and the arrest of its workers by officials of the Ogun State Government at the Sagamu Interchange last weekend,” Kehinde said. “A detachment of mobile policemen and some officials from the governor’s office impounded BCHSL’s excavator, which was promptly moved to the state government secretariat, Abeokuta, on a low-bed truck brought from the government secretariat.” He also said the policemen were led to the Sagamu interchange by the Ogun State Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Monitoring Project, Tokunboh Odebunmi. It will be recalled that the 105-kilometre road was handed over to BCHSL on May 26, 2009 to expand, modernise and maintain for a period of 25 years." http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/columns/clement-kolawole-on-thursday/36094-bi-courtney-and-lagos-ibadan-expressway. http://www.tellng.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=878:bi-courtney-rolls-on-lagos-ibadan-road&Itemid=120 Try to research before you come here to argue pointlessly, and try to read up on the meaning of concession okay. Did not want to deviate from the topic, but felt the need to educate certain people here |
OYINBOGOJU: I thought I was talking with a living human being.i believe in my post i said its not the work of pdp,do you need glasses to read well again. @soul caine, this truth am about to tell you will be too bitter for you to swallow, and thats if you could recognise the truth even if it jumps and hops under your nose. I have a laptop and no i got it myself,i dont need anyone to buy laptop for me,when they could afford to buy me bb porsche, for this kinda job, laptop too small. But what would you know when you are still suckin mama's breast, playin with sand and come here to post with a running nose. Forums are meant for creative and matured minds, not childish and underdeveloped ones like yours. Now run along to your mama. I repeat, and i stand by it, gej is the best thing to happen to this country since the 70s,if you got issues with my assertion,go and drown shikena. |
OYINBOGOJU: What you said above there is official news.your above statement mirrors your thoughts. You dont see anything good in pdp. Thats your right, but dont just say things without facts. In Ondo state, live births have increased significantly over the last three years, and am not saying its pdp,but am givin you facts, you can check with WHO. @isreal,except you want to state it here that Amosun(?) did not do such, dnt call me a liar,i believe there is a thread on this on nairaland.the punch, sun, and even the nation carried this piece of news. |

proudlyafrican: bro,i think you should just bone the guy,if you could read through the past few comments, you would see where i said Acn led governor of ogun state(Amosun i believe) and he mentioned Gbenga Daniels. His thinking has been programmed, who knows he might be the next suicide bomber trying to choose his target. Am outta here |
OYINBOGOJU: Tell me how many innocent blood is wasting along Lagos -Ibandan express way daily.have you ever held any leadership position? Even if its fellowship? To answer your question, that road was concessioned, under obj to bi-courtney,do i need to explain that as well? when work started, the stupid acn led governor of ogun state went to personally disrupt work. |
Funkymallam: Good.thanks jare bro,i think people got him all riled up |
OYINBOGOJU: The entire PDP need to be overhaulyou said pdp,i won't argue with you. Now answer this truthfully, have you ever any leadership position? For your information, innocent deaths have been recorded in the egypt fracas. |
And for your information,am right at ondo state,so i wonder why you would assume that am in another country. Am that unique nigerian bro, get with it |
And who do you have in mind to replace gej? Nigeria has never had it good since the 70s,though there are kinks(boko haram, farouk n co),but the nation is moving faster than projected. If you need proof,i will give them to you,and i ain't gonna bring electricity into the fold |
OYINBOGOJU: Typical Nigerian Man,you don't even know your stand.Am a nigerian but i aint typical. I dnt need anybody to give rice or laptop, and if you want to know why i suggest you stop being the typical nigerian, always thinking you know it all. Your last comment is a classic example, you said over the years and why would you not sack or change an employee of yours who is underperforming. Dude, your thinking is an aberation |
Beaf: Can we pay El Rufai to become a Nigerian citizen with a stake in the country? Lol!succintly put @beaf,but you have to realise there are people dead or hurt now who are innocent. Okupe has not done anything wrong in askin rufai to bring forth ideas. Some pple here say its the sole responsibility of gej,yes it is,but lxk someone asked, do you want him to lay waste to the northern region? Cos its the same you who would accuse him of infringing on rights. During the menace of Anini,do you think the authorities just woke up and arrested him? Some patriotic citizen was behind it. So if rufai knows how to end this boko haram,he should say so,and stop sounding like a broken piano. @beaf,no lele bro,you are on point |
@beaf,insults flow from your mouth like the water used to bathe you when you were born, those i called senile were those calling you 40 man brigade, and your daft self decide to pick quarrel wit me. What happened to the phrase enemy of my enemy? Gosh, you make me wonder. @least i agree with you on el rufai. But your character online makes me wonder bout the real you. |
@beaf,Am not going to reply to your rantings this nyt. I merely asked you why you could demean yourself, and you still went ahead to do so. |
Am confused with some things here. 1st i keep reading bout 40 man laptop brigade, are people here senile and childish that they have to resort to name calling coz of a person's view? Makes u no different from boko haram. Secondly El Rufai keeps blabbing his mouth around and yet he has failed to proffer a single solution, and he is living in the past. Of what concern is it to us that he clamoured for gej to be made president during the yar'adua saga. Thats like telling me the story of how Abraham almost sacrificed his son. A wise individual once said yesterday is gone, peter rufai,so el rufai better get that into his skull. @beaf,you sef don dey gree say you be 40 man brigade,u no be man? Abeg hold onto your belief n views, anybody way dey vex fit jump in front of moving train. |
Some nigerians dull. Can u believe some statements made by some people here. 1 even has the audacity to ask where nigeria airways and co are. Are you saying that this move is wrong? This is backwardness at its highest. If the telecom sector had not been deregulated, would you be able to even post your comment from the comfort of your home, think bout the thousands of jobs created and then think of the endless opportunities once the power sector is fully deregulated. Think sir or ma,think |
i wonder if you are from togo,ur question shows u are more than perplexed bout ur origin |
i am forced to comment, after reading some post, the most foolish being that of the person who asked where the president was.and the other, that of nigeria breaking up.really some pple think with their asses.and spew shit out.as for the stf,i wonder why someone would suggest that they should relocate them.since we all(most pple) tink they are nomadic, leaving their 'ancestral home' should not be difficult. |
fortyfeet: yorubaman, you can see how they are, very unstable. if i'm a yoruba, i'll go hang myself for reasons of coming from an unfortunate tribe. in any case, i still feel pity for the family and encourage them to bear with the situation as it can't change.its rather unfortunate u made such a statement. when sigidi wants to be embarrased,it clamours for a bath. and thats what u just demanded. to most who have presented their arguments,if u pay for something or fund it,are you saying you cant rename. that the south west have critised does not mean they hate abiola, they are being objective. |
Obijulius: Yaribas should make comments that are proportional to their contribution to their crude oil and natural gas production and export, or (for common sense) sake stop blabbing.guy,u dumb so tay even d heavens weep at your stupidity. |
i laugh whem people hail acn, yet only fashola is working while aregbeshola(the only governor who resembles billy the goat)junket around calling for ministry of the north, fayemi seems to lack the ability to comprehend governance. This seems to be the bane of most acn governors. Am no mimiko apologist but the truth is dat he will most definitely win. He does not even need to frat with pdp. |
toure, silva, tefez, aguero. men even scholes o ni duro wo tan. de gea,i dont envy your life tonite |
