@yemhy, really wish I were in lag, wud have hooked up wit u to make d negotiating visit. To some peeps, its now 1k for 350mb, and once you exceed 350mb, you use ur airtime to browse(for bb), so its not just bb stuff, and those using bb, why be d judas? The truth is we are getting ripped off, be you bb, android, iphone, symbian, java, woteva os u use, u r still being ripped off. India has problems peculiar to nigeria as well, as they sometimes suffer power cuts, and yet, they pay less and enjoy more. If we don't talk now, they will kip harassing us from behind, and take us for fools. And when we achieve this aim of increased data for less cost, we move on to other stuffs, we rally en-mass to show not just leaders now, but the world, what we can do. For those mentioning linda ikeji, why involve a petty mongering individual in this? She is comfortable already and doesn't feel your pains. No-one will speak for us except we ourselves. And the fact that we can all speak with one voice againt something, means we can achieve more. #allwhoarereadyforrevolution, the time to start is now. We aint backing down from this issue till its resolved, and we don't care whose ox is gored. Be it the bloody NCC deputy chairman or that foolish CC operator who attempts to justify this repressive act. Please, for those shouting about apn and shit, even the 2gb you get from airtel won't last ya a month (I use an android phone), and those screaming bb(use a bb as well) shut the hell up, and let's fight these oppressors or vampires hell bent on sending us all to an early grave. P.S I thot this bastard network providers said they have been upgrading? Why then is it that the quality keeps dropping, and we spend more on calls these days, I swear, these mofos have a lot to answer for. Make we just get this data plan thing dealt with first. @Abok1, bro I sympathize with your frustrations trying to educate peeps here, no fault of yours really, the blame lies solely with the OP. @Abok1, notice the title of the thread, then read the quoted words of the Vice President. I don't tink its the HSR that's being built here. |
Politics / Re: Jonathan's Bodyguard Blocks Amaechi From Greeting President by delvinmaya(m): 12:10pm On Jun 27, 2013 |
Nigerians sure don't disappoint. Our thinking is sometimes skewered. First, there are witnesses who say they watched the event live, and the claims of the newspaper are wrong. Rather than criticize bad journalism, some people out of hate decide to insult their president, calling him all sorts of unprintable names. Two, coming or rather going late to an official program is a norm we are used to and its wrong. Amaechi and his cohorts should have been locked out. Hearing instances of their own high handedness ought to open our eyes to the hypocrites they are. Three, its a disrespect to the higher authority for you to come late to an event when ur "boss" is seated, and its foolishness to proceed to want to go greet him, belittles authority and procedure. And also breaches security. Even in the US, such dare not happen, so why must Amaechi then feel aggrieved. Being objective helps a lot, also not being gullible defines our characters. Some comments thus make u wonder if we are being objective 1 Like |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Breaking News: Manuel Pellegrini Appointed Manchester City Manager by delvinmaya(m): 7:08pm On Jun 14, 2013 |
I believe he is. I was already getting tired of the negative backwashing football played under Mancini. And he lacked man-management skills. With Pellegrini, I believe, the team will become more tactical and effective. |
Sports / Re: Pellegrini Is New Man-city Boss by delvinmaya(m): 7:03pm On Jun 14, 2013 |
Now for some free flowing football. Get rid of Barry,Sinclair,Maicon,Garcia. Bring in Isco, and draft in Guidetti to join the front line. Provide suitable competition for Hart. And not only will the league be ours, but we would progress beyond just group stages in the Champion League. If possible dispose of Nasri as well |

@crowe,you are treading amaechi's path the pride thing. No doubts about them (the russians) putting up appearances. But even the UN wont say they are not developed. Lets stop dilly dallying and rather talk about Amaechi and his travails. There's no denying that he has been suspended. Now he has a form of goodwill running for him. question is will he utilize it? or allow it fizzle out? And my brother, something we both agree on, govt is to blame. |

@crowe, as an after thought, understand now that no society has achieved that standard you so emphasize. The US is guilty of spying on its people and worse. Cos we have not heard is cos we chose to. Another thing is these high standards are just refined ways of still messing up. The world, despite its advancement is still same. Scandals, killings and a whole lot worse things happen in these developed countries like they do here Back to 9ja things, am starting to think this feud dates back to that hateful day 1-1-2012(subsidy things) |
Politics / Re: How Would OBJ Have Handled Amaechi by delvinmaya(m): 5:06pm On May 28, 2013 |
@crowe, you are definitely no different from other people you are trying to educate. How dare you say Russia is technically a developing state? They hold a permanent seat in the UN security council and are presently what is keeping Assad in power against countries like the US and Britain. Dat is me educating you. The truth is what is happening btw presido and amaechi is abnormal, but attempting to deride the country by claiming it doesnt happen in the western world shows your inferiority complex. Young paper boy: are u ok? Pep won 6 trophies during his 1st season wit barca.he initiated d 'tiki taka' patern of football which d whole europe is studyin 2 defeat.do u knw hw many trophies pep won in barcelona?was he using d most expensive players? He made name 4 himself, dats why bayern went 4 him.nw d guy dn buy Gotze(strategy against dortmund),later wen he starts winin trophies 4 bayern,u go tell me say na already made team.i hate haterz. Dude, d whole europe aint studyin any tiki taka no more, d whole of europe has moved on. Or u r gonna claim, its not d same tiki taka dat got dem(barca) dat scoreline against. Bayern? Mou showed the way, and others have since learnt how to deal with barca. This is not hating, but my opinion. When I watched the two legs (barca vs bayern) I realized, Heynckes had done his assignment. Having his wingers (ribery n robben) track back, and surge forward, ensuring a high work rate, etc, I realized bayern are the next tin in football, but only if they had held on to Heynckes. Do u tink ur tiki taka wil work against teams like dortmund, wolfburg, schalke? Siddon dere day scream tiki taka, and don't face reality. |

Either way, I have not said I trust them, what I have said is the experience I had with them. All in all, I wish you got my drift. There are the conservatives and the fundamentalist. @bingils, lemme point something out to you Sir, in Africa, there's a totally different meaning to tragedy. The African concept of tragedy is that one offends, but all suffer. The truth herein is this, muslims are people I relate with. I have arguments with, play, laugh, and the muslims I know put a shame to the way the religion is been portrayed by terrorists, but the actions of the extreme few over-shadows those of the good ones. Take Nigeria as a case study, before the issue of Boko Haram even came up, there was a view of muslims, as savages. Almost every other year, we all would wake up to hear about religious crisis, christians being killed for their beliefs. Then the boko boys came along to spice the party. You have to admit yourself, that right from time, your religion has not had good representation. Makes you wonder if there were no radical christians and why they have not been fighting God's battle for him |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Dortmund Vs Bayern Munich - UCL Final (1 - 2) On 25th May 2013 by delvinmaya(m): 6:03pm On May 25, 2013 |
Difficult call. Bayern are clear favourites, but the appeal of winning it would definitely make Dortmund give it their all. Bayern to win it narrowly. Expect an entertaining match with both clubs springing surprises. I'd advice Bayern not to focus on Lewy, else they will pay for it. Finally, I fear for the future of bayern, pep will def destroy this team oooo. |

Yeboye actually got me with his arguments and pictures till I started seeing those of the toilet. Dude, wetin we wan use that one do? Now to serious issues, @Yeboye, if you actually think a president would make that statement "about the outage being a way to deal with Boko Haram" is true, then you don't know Nigerians that well. The "E go better" syndrome has as its main tool sarcasm, all entrenched in comic relief to assuage the citizens or masses, so they don't see the real picture. Your arguments all allude to proper planning, implentation and maintenance. Unfortunately, that's the bane of our society, education and orientation are basic things that most of the citizenry lack in Nigeria. A typical nigerian does not even know the duties of his local govt chairman not to talk of governor or president. Those who know are also not well informed or for reason best known to them, turn a blind eye. My point now is this. Let's not lay blame on Jonathan. Let's face fact and lay blame on we all. So many things happen in this country, that task the mind and make you wonder. The things we Nigerians do can drive one crazy. Let us drive away the eagle and then blame mother hen. Only when we have removed the speck in our eyes, then we can scream murder at the leaders. By this, I mean, there are those already bought with the proverbial 40 taels of silver. I won't claim to know much about electricity, but what is definite is there is a rot within the sector. An example is the transformer issues, you find communities contributing and buying transformers for sums like 500k to 2mil, whereas the transformers ought to be given to them free of charge. The communities then stil pay for the installation and stuffs, and someone somewhere pockets the money. So its just not the govt, Nigerians lost the true meaning of patriotism long ago |
