There's no need giving a dog a bad name while it is already being hanged.

PoliticsRe: I Won’t Resign - Etteh by denex: 12:13am On Oct 05, 2007
This shows that Nigeria is not ready for this Democracy thing at all. We don't even know how democracy works.

Etteh does not have the power to stay in the House of Representatives without the support of the majority of her constituency. I have mentioned earlier that this woman is in the House by the grace of the majority vote of the people of Ayedaade/Isokan/Irewole Federal Constituency of Osun state.

The fact that they still keep her there means that she is acting very much in accordance with their wishes. As long as they are satisfied with her actions, there is nothing we can do to remove her from the House of Representatives.

As for her remaining speaker, she doesnt have that power. All we need to do is call on our own Representatives and order them to impeach her or vote her out from the position of Speaker.

I really can't understand what this whole fuss is about.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by denex: 11:48pm On Oct 04, 2007
What Tatiana did tonight getting all over Richard against his wish by force is physical sexual harassment bordering on rape.

This Big Brother thing better get back in check and the organisers better put things correct because NO IS NO! It doesn't matter if it's male or female, but RAPE IS RAPE!
PoliticsRe: Dehumanizing The Palestinians - By Ali Abunimah by denex: 11:41pm On Oct 04, 2007
I have been wondering why the persecution of Israelites by Europeans ended about 1945 and since then, the persecution of the Arabs by the Israelites and Europeans began.

When you people begin to realise that somewhere along the line, the jews were Europeanised, you won't be so confused about it.

The AshkeNazi Jews who are Germans or Nazis converted to Judaism. At a point before the 20th Century, the Ashkenazis only made up 3% of jews in the world, but around the 1930s, they accounted for approximately 93% of all jews due to the widespread acceptance of judaism among Germans and Germanic tribes pre-Hitler.

Today, they make up 80% of jews worldwide. The African jews who actually went through centuries of persecution have become totally insignificant and disregarded in the picture of things today.

Merely hearing the surnames of most jews today, one will realise they are nothing but NAZIS carrying out racial cleansing of arabs with the aid of their brothers in Europe and America.

PoliticsRe: Beautification Of Lagos: Pains & Losses Of Petty Traders by denex: 9:17pm On Oct 04, 2007
Lagos must develop and there should be no consideration for how to please touts, street hawkers and beggars.

Just 2 days ago, I experienced one of these loiterers get knocked high into the air by a jeep whose driver sped away.

I really don't blame the driver though.

Let's restructure Lagos at all cost.
PoliticsRe: Africans Banned From Australia by denex: 8:51pm On Oct 04, 2007
I think I have no problem with this. Just yesterday, Switzerland broke new ground in its "black sheep" programme as government has now approved the use of dogs for the hunting down and capture of illegal immigrants.

The Swiss government denies that this programme is targeted at Africans, but the name of the programe, "BLACK SHEEP" speaks for itself.

The programme also enables the deportation of legal immigrants for misdemeanor issues such as disobeying traffic laws and accruing parking tickets.

This is a good thing because when I say that after the crackdown on Arabs, they are coming for Africans, people refuse to believe. When I keep preaching to Nigerians to "stay in their yard" they won't hear.
PoliticsRe: Aba Task Force Strips Ladies Wearing Trousers by denex: 8:10pm On Oct 04, 2007
The fact that a lot of people have refused to attribute these occurrences in Aba to Sharia, Al Qaeda, Islamic Extremism or Christian Crusades, but rather to the actions of some retarded barbaric elements should as well make us realise that when such things happen in the northern part of the country, we should give the same consideration.
PoliticsRe: A Sweet Wind Of Change Is Blowing In Nigeria! by denex: 7:51pm On Oct 04, 2007
I wonder whether there is any one of these crack-babies that can point to a street or road anywhere in the country today that was built by the colonialists.

Some people will not educate themselves before posting. During the colonial era, all Government revenue obtained from taxing Nigerian workers were split in two and half was given to the crown. The other half was then given to the native leaders who kept them in their treasuries. It is from these treasuries held by our traditional rulers that money was deducted to finance infrastructural development. Roads, railways, which are basically the only meaningful infrastructure we had in very sparse quantities for that matter and all leading from the point of extraction of agricultural products.

For about 10 years during and after the first European Tribal Wars, they took 100% of the country's revenues to reconstruct England. In the years during and after the Second European Tribal Wars, they also instituted laws that enabled them to obtain 100% of Nigeria's national revenue to fight their war.

I know some clowns will come and challenge whatever I post without ever seeing any colonial documents.

In fact, they didn't stop at that, they also employed mandatory conscription of Nigerian soldiers who they sent to this same Burma of today. They sent Nigerian soldiers to go sacrifice their lives in order to protect their palm oil plantitions in Malaysia which palm oil hybrid plants were developed in Nigeria yet transferred by the Brutish to another country free of charge.

Well, I don't blame you people. After reading the 18th Century books of American philosophers, I realised that majority of Americans at that time were complaining after their independence that they made a big mistake. Some were even advocating for the English to come re-colonise them and were cursing the leaders of the struggle for independence.

The masses will always behave as the masses. I don't blame y'all.

PoliticsWhat Do You Think About The Situation In Burma/myanmar by denex(op): 4:18pm On Oct 03, 2007
It is really crazy the situation over there and the abuse of millions of people by a gang of military officials.

I just learnt that the precursors of this strife are Chevron and Total Petroleum.

Several countries are advocating more sanctions on the government which even we in Nigeria have experienced that these sanctions only impoverish the masses even more.

Can't anything be done to Chevron and Total themselves? Can't governments and citizens of various countries around the world ask these companies to leave their country if they refuse to operate fairly in other countries. Because today it's Burma, tomorrow it's Gambia, and in fact, even today, it's us.

How do you think the problem in Burma can be solved and do you even care at all.

PoliticsRe: Media Is The Nigerian Problem by denex: 12:27pm On Oct 03, 2007
The media is not "the" problem of Nigeria, but it makes a major chunk of it.

Most of them did not go to school of journalism but the school of stories.

When you listen to CNN, you hear "3 people died of extreme temperatures the US state of Arizona" and at time you would hear "3 Nigerians were killed in by floods in Lagos state".

Nigerian journalists do not know that there is a big difference between those two statements. They will carry them verbatim and broadcast to the Nigerian public.

But nothing annoys me more than the NTA that tries to make everything seem lofty when people are seeing obviously that they are not. I am looking at a death body on Oshodi expressway, yet NTA will tell me it does not exist.

Even that stupid and ever subservient Tony Iredia made it clear that the NTA is the mouthpiece of the Government to the masses ie we can only hear what the Government wants us to hear on NTA.

If not for news stations like Channels television, I would have committed suicide a long time ago.

I'm actually writing a paper on the problem of poor media in developing democracies. It's still on paper, but when I prepare the final soft copy, I'll post it here.

@texaspete

okay, I was astounded that we were agreeing on that. My own issue is that during the Bakassi matter, the way there European countries were supporting Cameroun, there's something they know that we don't. Besides that even a blind man can tell that all our military infrastructure is in a state of pafuka.

@Jakumo

Gun powder entered Europe from Africa and Asia. They didn't reject it in order to develope their own witchcraft. They accepted it, used it and developed it. So also shall we now accept their own technology and perhaps improve on them in the next couple of decades.

Is it the "babalawo" that "korofo" can arrest with "shakabula" that you are suggesting should protect our troops against depleted uranium and cluster bombs?
PoliticsRe: Northern Nigerian Killer Muslims At Work Again by denex: 11:08am On Oct 03, 2007
@dimwit

on the contrary, I advice you to continue to sound hollow.

It wasn't Mohamet that postulated that we should give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. It wasn't him who said if you're in Rome, act accordingly.

If I go to China and publicly desecrate the graves of their emperor, I will have no one else to blame but myself. If anyone has the sudden inexplicable desire to desecrate the Koran. Maybe they should seek some degree of privacy for themselves first.

The case of this Christianah Oluwasesin is a matter of matyrdom. She went on a suicide mission. It's not everybody on a suicide mission that wears and explosive vest.

Go to Benin City and desecrate a statue or image of the Oba an see whether a mob idol worshippers will not kill you, whether you're Ibo, Fulani or Benin yourself. Whether you're Christian, Muslim or an Idolator yourself.

Let's discuss the genocide we're on and don't bring me an isolated case of a woman on a suicide mission. Wetin concern canoe with side-mirror?

I didn't see any of those words in this your last post. Is it because for the first time in your life you're trying to make sense.

No O! You must continue. I usually send my friends to check your posts for some daily comedy. So believe me or not, you do have your use sometime.

By the way, if you knew much of English you would realise that it is vocabulary acrobatics you've been performing in here. It has nothing to do with grammar.

Please throw us another stunner.
