Talibanis: Hi all. I am looking for an ABS replacement for a 2005 E320 Mecedes Benz. Dealers should contact me on 08064110745 (Call/WhatsApp).
Kingreign has said it all.
Most mechanics who don't understand how SBC works are also part of the problem.
Changing brake pads or any job that requires removal of the brake calipers has to follow a certain recommended process....no short cut. Doors must not be opened during the change, for example.
Kindly run a proper diagnosis (not just picking codes) before you spend 100k on your car.
DJperdurabo: How do.you explain the dual exhaust, a characteristic of AMG tuned vehicles? Could it have been added also?
So many variables come with the AMG package. Some are: *Engine upgrade *Exhaust *Body kits *Badges *Interior (steering, instrument cluster, decals etc) *Suspension *Brakes
Most of these can be bought as options (from the dealership or aftermarket).
Some car owners even strip salvage AMG cars for parts to use on theirs.
You can Google AMG body kits.
However, this does not make the car an AMG.
A real AMG must be built as an AMG from ground up. The AMG engine is hand-made and must carry a name tag of the individual builder.
No AMG is powered by the same engine on normal Benz cars. The engines are more powerful with wider cylinders, stronger connecting rods etc.
The suspension is tuned for high performance driving and the brakes are top end.
Loud exhausts or name tags do not only make an AMG
dessyhandsum2: YOU ARE JUST NAIVE YOUNG MAN... I HAVE NOT TIME TO ARGUE WITH YOU
IF YOU COME I WILL PROOF IT TO YOU
FOR NOW AM DONE TALKING TO YOU
Now you have my attention.
You called me Naive twice when you obviously think AMG is just a badge.
I tried educating you but it seems you can't learn simple basics...you are like that loud man in a beer parlour who rants about how Canada is small state in USA.
Do a simple Google search, learn more about the AMG brand and next time, try to listen when others are talking. You might learn a thing or two.
I am not even sure the box you have is even an E500. Share the engine pictures and VIN if you can and let people more informed take you and your car to the cleaners.
Car is a a 2000 toyota Camry, I drove with the thermostat stuck open for more than a year. I changed the thermostat less than a month ago and I bled the system and filled with total coolant. I noticed that the coolant overflows from the coolant reservoir, I saw the mark on the container. Should I be worried , could be a case of system overfill or a more serious underlying issue.
Thank you
Did the issue start after the thermostat installation?
If yes, kindly confirm if thermostat was installed properly taking into consideration the alignment of the jiggle valve.
Secondly, ensure radiator cap still seals properly.
Finally, be on the lookout for head gasket symptoms.
mayor2013: If you know how diesel engine runs then you wouldn't be able to draw up conclusions. They have clearly made a statement of Making two technologies as I have earlier pointed out. Who knows if they know the homogeneous tech is a failed one already. I might be wrong though until we the engineers visually see and feel this on our dirty hands
Will putting a 50kg bag of cement in the boot of a G63 AMG make it slower than a G500?
As an extra, there is a principle called power to weight ratio when designing cars. The only reason weight shedding is done on cars is to get more power output to carry a lesser weight
takenadoh: No. I am saying the weight will reduce its efficiency that's all.
Reduce from what to what? I don't know
Making an engine block stronger with say additional 10kg of alloys would in no way reduce the efficiency if it produces more hp/torque or has a better MPG overall.
All these would have been put into consideration at the basic level of engine design.
One of the points given in the article is a leaner burn which implies lesser fuel consumption for same or more power..
This engine from all indications would be more efficient rather than less
takenadoh: Well it's the same with Diesel engines, inorder to withstand such high pressure that will cause self ignition the walls of the cylinders must be pretty thick, basically .
2. If you carry 3 Agbani Daregos i n your Picanto from Ore to Lagos and you carry 3 Yokozuna for the same journey, you'll agree with me that you car will be doing more work in the second case therefore burning more fuel or petrol.
It's just simple logic
In summary, are you saying diesel engines are not efficient due to their cylinder weights?
mayor2013: This article shows they (mazda) are confused. Why bring out the homogeneous charged compress technology first and Later come up with the spark plug tech. I pity who ever buys this in Naija with our low octane rating fuel
First, the Nigerian used car market does not make a dot on the planning and research process of vehicle manufacturers.
Second, the spark plugs are only used during Cold starts and at certain RPMs. Current ECUs can manage secondary air pumps, I don't think an ECU designed in 2017 wouldn't be able to know when there is a need for spark or not.
As regards octane, I even think this car would work better with a lower octane fuel. I can share my theory if you want.
takenadoh: Hmmm really interesting. Will it be making that awful sound like Diesel? Plus the weight of the Cylinders will be very much that also will reduce efficiency
Care to explain how you determined that the weight of the 'cylinders' would be much and how that weight would reduce efficiency?
MrBrownJay1: just like anything in China, you have the top quality product and then you have the cheap fake tyres (Bridgestone, Michelin, continental etc) so it is not really about WHICH tyres you buy, but from WHO... if you buy them from a genuine store then great, but if buying tyres from roadside yeye unscrupulous mechanics , then you are oyo and possibly have you duped.
btw, not everything made in China is of poor quality
chccho: I don't need to waste my money coming down there. We can do the inspection via pics.Pls just show us the cylinder head of the engine let me school u on what a cylinder is. For your information oga the highest number of cylinders on a Benz is 12 cylinders so stop arguing and displaying your ignorance publicly. If u have acknowledged that the car is a v8 engine then why are u contradicting us by telling us it has 16 plugs??
You are the ignorant one here.
Open your mind to further learning.
Benz and even Nissan at different times had 2 spark plugs per cylinder.
The objective was for a cleaner burn (and not performance as some people might think).
Before you ridicule another person on a subject ou know little about, try to do some research.
Someone once said: You learn more when you listen than when you talk. When you listen, you have an opportunity to learn from others, when you talk however, you only speak from your existing pool of knowledge.
emeksdonalds: Removed my car battery to jump start another car without knowing that once my car battery is removed, the car has to reset itself and thereby would be stopping every interval.. Once I apply my brake, it would go off and I have neutralize the gear to start it again... Imagine the insults I got on the road in the morning traffic cos of the break and quench.....then he worst of it all is the thing now decided to do the worst at Fela shrine that evening.. I didn't even mind but I drove the car from Lagos to East the very next morning.. The whole resetting mode corrected itself when I got to Asaba Delta state cos since I'm in a free road, I didn't have to use the break all time like on a busy Lagos roads. It wasn't easy, only an experienced driver can do that
You car has an unresolved issue which the ECU had tried to manage by adapting the fuel trims and throttle position.
