AutosRe: SOLD: Vintage Mercedes Benz For Sale £2500 only by Denn(m): 4:05pm On Oct 20, 2016
NgcoboP:
yea ... you of all should understand why...
I don't understand why and my reasons are stated below;

First, you posted 180k. You did your homework before you chose that price. If there is a reason for the price increase, this should be fully disclosed. 180k is less than £500. From £500 to £2,500...

Secondly, my desire about classics doesn't mean I just charge without having a justification. I am not saying you don't have a justification for the extra price increase but you should state the facts (whether there are added values or new discoveries made etc)

As you can see, I don't understand why you did the price change. Kindly shed more light.

Thanks

This thread should not have been rushed to the front-page.

There are a lot of infantile brains out there that would always comment even on issues they know nothing about.
AutosRe: 4 Months Used Mercedes Jeep 180 For Sale 650 by Denn(m): 9:53am On Oct 19, 2016
It is evident some people would exhibit their half-baked knowledge in public.

It is not Maclean's but toothpaste
It is not Maggi but seasoning
It is not Omo but detergent
It is not coke but soft drink

And is not Jeep but SUV.

Take note...brand connotations will not replace the original name even if the brand becomes a household name.

If you keep arguing that all SUVs are Jeeps, then I can only amuse myself at the free show of mediocrity on a public forum...it is akin to a drunk prince who decides to dance naked in the market square at the bewilderment of his townsmen...

When Thomas Jefferson said "The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers", he was simply trying to prevent this kind of semi-educated show.

Final question. Why has no other SUV manufacturer in the world (apart from the obvious brand owners) called any of their iterations 'Jeep'?
AutosRe: 4 Months Used Mercedes Jeep 180 For Sale 650 by Denn(m): 8:49am On Oct 19, 2016
To those referring to Jeep as the generic name for SUV, kindly refer to the Wikipedia screenshot below and stop forming ITK

I have this sweet mercedes 230E thats been having recurrent fuel pump issues according to most mechanics.
A mechanic suggested he could rework the cars system, by changing the fuel pump sytem to a carburetor system.
Pls experienced gurus, i just want to ask if its a good advice to go with. Thanks.
Which model of the Benz is the 230e you are referring to? W123, W124, W114 etc

Which engine do you currently have? M115, M102, M111 etc

All these would assist in giving a proper response to your inquiry

My bad, its ur bizz. How is ur issue with shoptomydoor? Have u gotten ur items? Pls take action legally, whether they deliver or not. U had been over violated.
Thanks bro.

Issue has been reported through official quarters and it is being handled legally.

That has been the reason for my silence on the matter.

I believe shoptomydoor would come out of this as a company more focused on customer satisfaction if they have future plans on business expansion.

I am ready to offer them free consultancy on how to improve their logistics but first, I await my goods.

Thanks

Yes. I restore cars and would be sharing details later but I don't want to hijack another man's thread.

Denn denn, u don't live in Nigeria sir, its an issue wen i have to travel all over Nigeria just to get parts. Am sure is readily available over there.
I live in the centre of Lagos.

Parts location in Lagos:
Ladipo
Jankara
Olowu
Clegg
Oju elegba
Owode Onirin
Maryland

And when you have exhausted all these locations and still cannot get what you want or you decide to import, we have online stores in
USA
Germany
China
Europe
Japan
Mexico
Brazil etc

The only place where they don't sell parts that ship to Nigeria currently is Mars and Elon Musk is working hard on resolving that by 2060.

I know classics are owned by Nigerians but mostly purchased when they were new. The actual issue is if Nigerians will be willing to spend the money to buy this car at its actual value knowing the alternative that money can buy.
Nigerians buy classics at all ages....new, used, in need of restoration, newly restored etc.

What alternative can the money buy? Another 2010 Toyota Camry that has gone through flood in the US like Lipton tea?

A lot of people have tastes and if the op is not in a rush, and not too overly profit minded, this car would be sold to a Nigerian..... possibly a quiet Nairalander who doesn't blow his horns

Jethrolite:
Do yourself a favour and start looking for buyers in Europe and North America unless you want to sell this car as scrap and by scrap I mean any price below N3m, even if you sell for $10,000,thats at least N4m and this car will sell for more than that. I was shocked when I saw the pristine condition of the interior. Get the right agent and they will come take the car from you. This car deserves better than Nigerian roads. I will start marketing the car abroad for you and I advise you look for foreign buyers too. Send me a PM so I can know your reserve price.
What gives you the impression that only Europeans deserve classics like this?

If I show you pictures of classics currently owned and driven within our borders, you would shout "change begins with me" cheesy

I would really wish this car remains within Nigeria....

Happy sales

EducationRe: How Can I Answer "Can You Lie To Protect The Integrity Of This Company?" by Denn(m): 6:38am On Sep 12, 2016
It is a simple test.

You cannot lie to protect integrity. Integrity that requires a lie for protection is no longer integrity.

My answer would be thus:
' In applying to work for this great organisation, I have carefully reviewed the mission and vision of the founding fathers and their quest for excellence. I do believe that if I do my job as it is expected, there would not be a need to tell a lie or falsify information. Having that in mind, I would ensure that all non disclosure agreements are fully upheld whilst I perform my job in the most efficient of manners'

Hi,

We have gone through your account and some of the irregualarities such as multiple names is one we have seen so many times to be wary off.
Kindly note that we are acting in compliance with the US laws. We would also love to have your issue resolved as soon as possible, but it is our obligation to ensure that all shipments through us are obtained through genuine transactions, and this is one of the reasons we insist to speak with your seller, unfortunate our call was picked by an African, who from all indications was not the seller.

Kindly inform your seller to contact us between 9am - 110.00am (US time) today in order to have this issue sorted out. An email will be sent to you shortly.

Thank you.
Never knew you have added racism to your company qualities.

So an 'African' cannot sell a laptop?

Big fat lie.

You dont keep to your promises.

You look for avenues to rip people off.

You have very shoddy service and poor customer service.

UPDATE
They suddenly updated my 'unit address' with a new arrival of goods....my goods that have been received by them since August 8th and should be part of shipments already in Nigeria suddenly 'arrives' on 8th September (exactly one month after)

To add further salt to injury, they have decided to bill me an additional 186 USD for this.

They have neither responded to my emails nor called to explain their magic.

Attached are screenshots

Up till this moment, no email nor package has been received....not even a phone call.

And they pride themselves as a customer--centric organisation.

I have started making proper formal complaints to all relevant regulatory institutions in the USA.

I have filed a complaint on PayPal too.

I am extremely disappointed with shoptomydoor.
