^^no problem about not derailing the thread. I would still like you to point out references to the hijab being meant to conceal beauty. there is a difference between beauty and adornments. Don't get it twisted. I remember emofine2 saying she finds eyes attractive. Does that make covering the eyes compulsory? How about |
honeric01: I hope you know i ain't alien to the rules? except if this section is different from sports section or any other, i am yet to see a rule which says a user's post is to be edited by any mod.you don't have to ignore the whole board because of the actions of one person. And he already mentioned not doing it again. I particularly liked your comment but don't know where to place it now since I can't tell which or which wasn't said by you. |
fellis: No love, you can pray for me to have faith enough to start.InshaAllah, I'll remember you in my prayer. Beautiful hijab beautifies. Those women you posted in those pictures are wearing coloured/small hijabs that is why they look beautiful. Not all hijab are beautifying. Would you say that the hijab in this picture beautifies?that depends on your definition of beauty. And where did the notion hijab covers beauty come from? how about men who are just naturally not attracted to women who are uncovered. Maybe we should talk more on what constitutes a hijab, the reasons for hijab, reasons to wear it and the social impacts of doing so. I have realised from experience that many people have the wrong notion on hijab and so many others wear it because every other person wears it or people around them do. I was hoping from the start that this thread would go in the direction where we all get to learn and not just admire thhe different forms of hijab. |
maclatunji: This thread is starting to be about one actress, can we move back to topic?the comments still point to the hijab. Hijab beautifies |
EyesWideOpen: Allahu Akbar! ... Just look at Angelina Jolie all covered up. She looks beautiful!I agree she's more beautiful covered up |
fellis: Cool. There should be a lot of support from those around you for your wearing it then. Many Muslim women don't wear hijab because their environment is not encouraging.I hear of such cases and I know it is challenging. But some level of determination will go a long way. Do you wear hijab? |
Nigerians have always done well in the paralympics. Am not surprised |
^^ it is a good thing. At least one can start blaming it on the moderator. |
maclatunji: Yes we are.am afraid we are not safe then. fellis: Yes they can do that.I wear hijab.alhamdulillah!. I grew up with a lot of Muslims around me and yh! I live around Muslims |
^ I challenge you to post the link while we dissect the threat. and mind the way you talk(abi type ni). Dont lay your frustrations on me |
honeric01: Who modified my comment? hmmm this is not cool at all.. what i was was edited, not cool at all, it's better hidden than be edited! |
Tolaaaaannni: I believe that's the shayla, but i might be wrong.oh yes. it fits the description of Shayla |
fellis: ^Why do they remind you of you. Are you a young child like them?they remind me of when I was young like them . A lot comes to mind. In short, I have fond memories of a young me in hijab. |
But She is truly well covered in the picture on the right. How would you like a Muslim Jolie ![]()
|
Most western women in the middle east wear scarves. Dont think they can fall under the category of hijab. They usually leave a part of their hair, jewellery or neck showing. Like Angelina Jolie below..
|
I like seeing young children like these. They remind me of me ![]()

Nigerians in hijab- beautiful https://www.bestmuslim.com/primages/1344857084.jpg https://msmagazine.com/blog/files/2010/08/hijab.jpg |
Many Nigerian Women wear theirs like this woman in the middle https://www.demotix.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/a_crop_medium_aspect/1300-7/photos/1379287.jpg |
interesting thread the hijab covering from head to toes is called a Jilbab. u'd hear local Imams say jilbaba. That's the best way to wear it. may Allah help us all to practice Islam the perfect way. Amin |
they are taking us decades backward. Life is never fair sha. it wasn't fair on the victims of the bombings just like it wouldn't be on the boko haram suspects. Eventually, it is a vicious cycle. A very dangerous one |
this link appears to explain your ban- https://www.nairaland.com/1013718/must-read-all-regular-posters |
I read an article on the said threat. It isnt even as direct as people make it seem. It could pass as an advice |
good to know ![]() |
two had their faces covered and two didnt. that got me thinking and when I heard the one wearing glasses is a pharmacist, I understood why. the Nigerian police should stop making innocent people suffer. Even though Nonso cant be termed innocent, his crime doesnt warrant what he must be going through. How many other people are facing the same problem?? how many are being labelled what they are not? our prisons must be filled with many Nonsos. ![]() |
MacDaddy01: Satire is lost on a religionist.that is not my argument. Read my post again. Since when does Islam have to be treated differently from other religions?since Seun created the Islam for Muslims section. You have exposed yourself as a bigot and you have lost all respect from me.Like it bothers me ![]() |
You all fail to realise it is an Islam for Muslims section. While I am not very aware of what led to d creation of the section, it has been there and would remain InshaAllah. Once you are not a Muslim, you shuldn't be found there and if there, you should be less of a trouble maker. While I do think that the multiple id excuse isnt genuine enough, I very much agree you'v bn constituting nuisance. That topic moved to the diaries section isnt worth nada of anyone's time but I already gave a reply to it on the other thread you created asking Muslims to judge d mod. can you tell us how many threads yu'v opened concerning the mod, even opening one to sing for him. that is what being a nuisance is. |
Now I know what Nija girls are. I have always wondered if they were in existence or the nairaland guys were exaggerating. oh! ![]() |
i av read the thread u were talking about and I wonder what you want of the Muslims here. Do you know the meaning of 'priority' and how it is applied? the reason for a Muslim being here,or maybe I should only speak for myself,is definitely not to spread the news of some cultural practices of certain muslims that are in sync(like d marriage to cousins) or not in sync(honor killings) with the teachings of Islam. You and your ilks are most probably the ones bothered by such news, because in them you see an avenue to say something bad about Muslims and Islam. think again, why would a Muslim find such a news juicy enough to want 2 share? I agree with the thread being a mere lamentation of a jobless man. sorry to say but that is how I see it for with a deeper thought u'd realise u dont belong 2 a position where you get to tell Muslims what to see as priority and what not. |
androids all d way!!!!!! |
wow I enjoyed reading that |
osazee12: Hey guys , the guy on glasses is a friend and a fellow colleague(pharmacist),. He erred by dispensing a prescription drug without a prescription. That's all. He had no knowledge of the motives of the other suspects, neither did he participate in murder and rape of the victim in question. He is just a victim of poor investigation... I hope he is vindicated , and the family of the victim gets justice.crying over spilled milk. Your friend must have known not to sell such a drug. That is why he is a pharmacist At UCH in Ibadan, you are sold drugs only with a doctor's prescription and they only sell you a limited amount of it. Anywhere else, even at the well known pharmacies, you can get any drug you want(or maybe not every) without a prescription. I just hope the laws are reviewed and people made to do things right plus only pharmacists allowed to sell drugs. many people die in the hands of fake pharmacists(aka chemists). Many of them never went to school and only learnt to sell drugs after being apprentices under fellow chemist owners. You even see drugs(meant to be kept at room temperature) being hawked inside markets. I wonder how many deaths such must have caused. |
