Smart phones can never take the place of pcsWell, they seem to be having their way. I cant remember the last time I browsed internet with my Pc.. The phine has taken over..it allows ppt presentations etc. I have kept the pc cos of the documents it contains. If I am able to move them, its job is relegated to that of a typewriter and tv. |

onegig: Welcome. Those things cost an arm and leg. I am sticking to the conventional hard disk Abeg. Also you need to charge them which is a big turn off.PHCN things abi?  I dont have that problem. at least not now. Well, this will get better and become more acceptable soon. I like that I can use it with my phone. and also have it charged and use it at any time and at different places. My almost - crashed PC can have some rest |

tunshe: Thanks bro,I know the connectivity is by wifi.No. It does not see it as a folder. It shows it like an application with tabs for pics, files, videos..looks good except for the online thingy. |

onegig: depends on manufacturer. But most creates a hot spot where the devices connects to.Yes. Like a hotspot. Three computers can have access to different things on it at a time. The password thing works too. Thank you, too. I just did not think it would be so hard like this. I feel better about it now. I'll pray too and keep it. |

jay bee: Ok think about it this way, your laptop has the same wi fi connectivity functionality and you will have to connect to the internet with a public profile setting for your computer or laptop to become potentially vulnerable to e-attacks.This sounds good. onegig: Its actually a normal external hard disk but this has added wireless functionality. Suitable for people using tablets. You can connect/ transfer files between the two device just as if its a legacy usb device. But this time the medium is through wireless and not a usb.exactly but on a Pc and a non tablet, like my pc, I get directed to a www. I even am trying to see if I can use it without an internet connection. Plus it comes with a load of accessories like a car charger. You can charge it and use it for up to 5hrs on the move. It also has a pinhole on which is written DCIN. I havent figured out what that is for. It is made in a quite beautiful way.. I am being optimistic though my fear no. 1 remains. |

Thank you. Let me express my fears better. 1. If you use an ipad or an android, you can get an app to download and through the app you can access the device. without the app, you are directed to a www where you view your files. Now, are my files safe. Can anyone hack this www and get access to my gallery and documents?? 2. When I put some folders on the hard drive, I am able to delete their contents but the folders with their names remain. I donno how to get rid of that. It freaked me out actually. Made me feel like the device is going to have bigger problems later. But I spoke with my friend who says she has an hardrive with a similar problem. Realising that this is not peculiar to my wi fi Harddrive, I actually have decided to keep it and enjoy(or not ) the innovation. |

Ma sha Allah. Roypcain has said it all. I could tell f4om that post on LoVe that he is mature and experienced in marriage matters. I hope we will hear more from him. Well, all that matters has been said but I just have to say that having joint accounts is not the ideal. There has to be an understanding of what each person is bringing to the table. With a joint account, the wife is already taking the husband's responsibilities. Things shoulf not be so. |

I just got a hardrive with wi fi. I am trying to understand how it works better. In fact, I am thinking of returning it for the little time it has cost me. If you have one or understand how it works well, you might be of help. Thank You ** First, I am sceptical of having to use it online. I have the thought that its content might not be safe.
