It's true that the Police shot at Dino's convoy. They, the police, just confirmed it. |
senatordave1:For someone who once lost to Jonathan, until Tinubu came to the rescue, this is rich. You're over rating Buhari. I never underestimated Fayemi. I have nothing against him. He's more useful to me than Fayose. It's true, Buhari has diehard loyalists, but remember that didn't win him the election? Yes most N-power beneficiaries are the ones supporting him blindly. Not surprised |
Malami, who are we going to hold responsible for the needless massacre of innocent people (including children) going on in Benue, Plateau, Taraba, Zamfara, Kaduna, and now, Sokoto? Needless to mention that Boko Haram is still killing daily in the Northeast despite huge allocations and loans taken for a supposed fight against terrorism? The Government cannot hold him forever if they can't prove a case against him. It's been three years. If the government is still finding it difficult to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt and lock him up for as long as he deserves, I think it's high time they obeyed the court order. |
senatordave1:Jonathan had all these in 2015 and still lost. Buhari has been demystified. Apart from large scale rigging with the use of INEC and security agencies (this will be pretty hard in some place), he has no other advantage. Any random politician can beat him next year. It's not as if people voted Buhari because he was good, he took advantage of Jonathan loss of goodwill. |
senatordave1:I've been to at least 10 INEC offices in 4 different state in the last one month. Most people have other means of identifications- NationaNational ID Card comes to mind. Voters registration is apparently much more difficult for people than NIMC. I was in Suleja INEC office today and people have to be there as early as 4am to make the list. In essence, no one would go through that stress when there are alternatives. Buhari has lost people's confidence and many people will vote purposely to against the President, not because they are interested in who wins. Except Buhari has rigging in mind, he's not coming back. |
I'd want to believe this is the old promise, not making another one else, these people in government must think all Nigerians are zombies.
|
That's what they will tell you if you've registered before now. Instead of double registration, you'd be told to print a form from their server to process a new card for you. Nothing out of the ordinary. Wait till that November before you sing all the praises. |
senatordave1:This is 2018 man. Jonathan, an incumbent, narrowly lost for a reason...and don't compare Obj's regime to Buhari's. Go to INEC offices nationwide. People are getting registered to vote, not for Buhari, but to send him back home. Except you're mistaking power of incumbent for the ability to rig, Buhari will lose. |
Buhari will not have up to the total votes he had in 2015. And if you're banking on the number of states under APC in the south, you'll be shocked. |
Believe this at your own risk. How would you arrest them when you are the ones who sent them? |
Those corpse are decomposing already. This is a bad attempt at gaining sympathy. |
We are with Fashola on this. You guys (the DisCos) are on your own. Nobody is owing you guys. |

Pavore9:It's not that simple. It has to be where you're registered to receive care. You can't just walk into any hospital and expect to receive care, unless of course, you were referred there from your primary healthcare facility. A lot still has to be done. The first step is making health insurance mandatory for all. |
lx3as:It's still a fact that issues concerning the current happenings in Nigeria were discussed. If you think they invited him just for a dinner, you're on a long thing. |
post=69449563:He will be never bring them to justice... not when he's making excuses for them. |
Azmodan:Are surprised he's blaming the French? That's what this government has been able to achieve since 2015...blame everyone but themselves. |
Nigerians deserved to enjoy effective security and better governance than the government was currently providingBuhari and his foot soldiers would never agree to this. To them, the security of the country is tighter than that of Forte Knox. |
AdesegunSanni89:Go and buy sense. Is it lawful to withhold state allocations? Whatever he wants to do with the allocation is not the FG problem. He's the governor until October. The EFCC can invite him afterwards if they feel he mismanaged state resources. No wonder they call Nigeria a shithole. Most of her citizens are reasoning from their shitholes. God forbid you find your way to any position of authority. |
Xter92cy:If you can tell us the number of votes polled by other parties and the invalid votes, first ... |
AdesegunSanni89:And the suffering workers should be eating grass abi? No wonder some people are accusing the FG of frustrating Fayose by withholding the state allocation. So many idiots without knowledge of the basics of federalism. You should be ashamed of yourself. |
The Fulanis should look inward for these incidence of cattle rustling. It just doesn't add up for 86 herd of cattle to go missing without trace. The herders are the ones rustling these cattle and blame it on the locals, most of whom are even afraid to get close to a cow talk more of stealing it. We will accept the excuse of killing innocent people just because one herder decides to steal his Master's cattle... not again!!! |
hush15:Payment of salary is the basic function of any government. Any other things are secondary. In a situation where everything is financially tight, the government should use the available resources to pay the workers (the economy remains stable when people have money to spend). For a state like Ekiti, nonpayment of salaries will aggravate suffering. I'm sure Fayose must have been spending the state resources on irrelevance too. The problem with governance in Nigeria is that the cost of running government is too expensive. Consider the Executive and the Legislature for example. These people put themselves first and if there's nothing left after that, they give excuses to the masses. With Fayemi coming on board, I still don't see the end of suffering for the people of the state. Things might even get worse. |
Same file that has been gathering dust long before Fayose got his immunity in 2014? If the EFCC can not perform its duties independent of the President or the party in power, I think it's high time it's scrapped. What do you expect from an agency of government whose Chairman is a member of the ruling party? |
NOETHNICITY:Ekiti election in 2014 didn't determine the outcome of the 2015 general election. Whatever makes you think this will be an exception. People have different reasons for voting for Fayemi, Buhari factor is not one of them. I essentially wanted Fayemi to win, but I'm never going to vote for Buhari next year. Nigerians are wiser today, yes, and that's why the sweet talks of 2015 will not return Buhari next year. He'll have to tell us what he's been doing for the last four years |
lakesider:People practice religion for one reason or the other, not necessarily because they believe in God. Many people go to Church today for political and financial reasons, not to seek the face of God. Don't expect this kind of people to be Christlike. I can categorically say 90% of Christians in Nigeria go to Church for the wrong reasons. |
SalamRushdie:A vote for Fayemi is not necessarily a vote for Buhari. Don't make that mistake. 30000+ police won't be available for every state in next general election. PDP was voted out in Ekiti for non-performance. Same treatment will be dished out to Buhari next year. People are suffering in Nigeria. Next year general election will reflect that reality. |
NOETHNICITY:What does Ekiti election has to do with love for Buhari? The people voted for one of their sons. Why not wait till next general election to confirm if the people truly love Buhari? |
A well deserved victory for Fayemi. He should prove himself worthy by not being a stooge to anyone. I supported Fayemi to win in 2014 before he was rigged out. I hated Fayose and PDP for it. He's more of an Uncle and Father to me but his romance with Buhari and the likelihood of Fulani cattle ranch in Ekiti is the reason I don't want him there. I'm of Ekiti ancestry. I don't want anything to do with Fulani. Fayemi should understand that he is a governor of a state and should not necessarily take whatever policy proposition from the federal government. Giving land for cattle colony would be his undoing if he tries it. |
adioolayi:I'm just reminding you that PDP won Ekiti in 2014, but lost Aso Rock in 2015. If APC wins Ekiti, it's Fayemi's victory, not Buhari's. You can't give south west to Buhari just yet, because the states are under APC. Except you meant being in control of the states increases chances of rigging for PMB in 2019, I don't see him winning any state in the south west (remember he won Jonathan by a slim margin there?). Gubernatorial election is a local affair, most people who participated in this election don't care about the president. APC needs to sit up. |
adioolayi:@the bolded...it doesn't work that way. Remember they didn't vote Fayemi because of Buhari and definitely would not vote Buhari next year because Fayemi is the governor. Buhari's achievements should count for him next year, if not, he's still going to lose in Ekiti next year. Don't forget Fayemi and Eleka are both sons of the soil, regardless of the outcome of this election, but who cares about the fulani man in Ekiti? PDP winning Ekiti didn't determine the outcome of the 2015 election, don't expect anything different...same with defections. You should know better. |
elmodee7:He's still the Governor until he hands over to the winner. |
