erico2k2: you see my friend,The people who brought religion to Nigeria has more than a 100 years ago acknowledge the fact that there are other religion and as such live side by side with them in their country that's why there is freedom of religion. This is freeing oneself from Mental slavery and the first step towards eradicating religious extremism. The most religious place in the world occupies the Christians, Muslim and the jews. The birth of Jesus and his mother Mary in Christian and Mariam in Islam is properly captured in the Quran, or where did you think the name Mariam and Isa came from?.The name Abraham is Abrahim. To your question the Sons of Adam, read this (Qur'an 5:27). And there were more than two sons, If you lay your hand on an Hebrew bible which is quite hard to get you will see the narrative of Adam and eve called Hawwwa in Islam, Cain and ABel in Islam qabil and Habil, after the death of Abel(Habil, they went on to have a third Son called Sheeth. It is widely claimed in Islam that God sent 104 Psalms to Earth and 50 of these were sent to Seeth. So Bro REad (Qur'an 5:27). I only asked you the names of the sons of Adam according to the Quran, if you say everything in the Bible is in the Quran. Their names were never mentioned Oga. |

erico2k2: ok every story in the Bible is in the Quran. Name one that you think is not in the Quran Which story is in the Bible that's in the Quran? Oga, the whole Quran is a disjointed, unintelligible writings that no one can make any sense of unless they read the hadiths. Quran as a whole is not even up to the new testament alone. The book can't even get the person of the Jesus mother correctly. For you to know that you can't make any sense of many things in the Quran unless you read the Bible, what's the name of the sons of Adam according to the Quran (please give me quote). |

DarkJeddi: Their absence is a form of rebellion and an indictment on Tinubu. When Obasanjo and Jonathan garnered the necessary two thirds, were you the one that told them to come to work? If Tinubu could not get the Legislative to be present, for an important process as this. Then he has failed on his duty and is acting on an illegality. It's not a rebellion. They basically made the job easier for the opposition. I see no sense in absence as a form of rebellion when no one is stopping you from voicing your concern. He could have simply be at the plenary that day to counter whatever he wants, instead of disturbing our peace now. It's a fact that the senate met the 2/3rd requirement, so it's not anybody's business if some people decides to leave their jobs for those present. |

Augustenite: What most of you don't know is that, the NA will definitely support the move, not because of money as most of you will term it, but because of the arrant nonsense that Fubara did to their colleagues in the lower house House of Assembly. It's total abuse of the executive power for a governor to demolish another arms of government property without informing them earlier. The only sensible comment so far. I wonder how someone who demolished a state's house of parliament hopes to get fair hearing in the National assembly. That singular act is his greatest undoing. That man is as good as "finished politically". |

$1,300 USD is just something to cope with or start a micro (not even small) business with. Even in Naira, 2m is basically survival money.
It is well though. Definition of wealth is relative. It's not always about being able to live in Lekki, drive expensive cars, wear expensive clothes and eat assorted meals. I'm sure if you as 10 different people what been wealthy means to them now, you'll get 10 different answers. Wealth is just like the abundance of money at your disposal. Its not a job, so stop using the word "employer or employment!"..
They didn't apply for a job nor go there as jobseekers.
How difficult is this for you to absorb? It's a job, because someone is at least paying you monthly. NYSC is not compulsory. You can decide not to go if you don't want to work in Nigeria. It's as simple as that. When you're paying someone monthly, you can decide to practice the freedom of speech and after speech ethic if they call you terrible person. As far as NYSC guidelines are concerned, you don't have any public opinion regarding what the government does or doesn't within the 1 year. I'm an ex-corps member and I don't think anyone will have any issues or threaten me if I such what she posted. Since Lagos is smelling, I'd like that NYSC redeploy her to Ogoja where she's from. |

Things got more expensive in the last two years. I wonder how Rwandan Franc managed to be of higher value than naira. They import virtually everything in that country. They tend to pay better than in Nigeria though. I used to earn an equivalent of N800k monthly for a 4 hours a week part time job on campus. When it comes to cost of living in Africa, Nigeria is actually learning where most countries dey. 12.5kg gas cylinder that's less than 80k in Nigeria goes for almost 150k in Rwanda. Monthly rent in a semi middle class area is equivalent of 350k. Everything is expensive and the taxes are higher than in 9ja too. The only difference is you their government is not you chop I chop. No favoritism and public servants carry out their duties without fear of intimidation. I don't see how high cost living is a measure of anything good economically. |

belikewater: Most people just dey yarn rubbish above, if Dangote had not activated his refinery una for dey buy petrol at N2,000 per litre now. Tinubu should have waited for the refinery to be operational before removing subsidy, the real hero here is Dangote and NOT Tinubu. Sai Dangote! So Dangote will sell petrol at N192 or do you want the FG to pay him subsidies too? How you think the refinery will be operational without subsidy removal or payment is what is beyond me, because every right thinking person knows he can't sell at the subsidized price and stay in business. |

Bobloco: The excitement and euphoria of being sworn in as Nigeria's president overtook Tinubu’s reasoning, which led him to make that thoughtless statement: 'subsidy is gone.'
That thoughtless statement, followed by the floating of the naira, brought untold hardships on Nigerians, and this country will never recover from it.
Subsidy removal was supposed to be a gradual process, ensuring first that our refineries were operational and implementing measures to mitigate its effects on Nigerians.
There was no justification for the price of petrol to rise from below ₦200 to over ₦1,350 per liter in such a short time.
It was pure wickedness and draconian by the Tinubu regime in the way it handled the subsidy removal and floating of the naira.
If Dangote Refinery and other refineries were operational before the subsidy removal, the price of petrol wouldn't have gone beyond ₦400 per liter, and transportation costs, food prices, goods, and services wouldn’t have skyrocketed to the extent that they have Given enough time, nothing is achieved. It's not you that'll decide if the country will recover or not. It's already recovering. |
