FCT POLICE RESPOND TO MISREPORTED DEATH OF RETIRED COMPTROLLER GENERAL DAVID PARRADANG.

Date: March 04, 2025.

In light of the recent reports alleging that retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang, was kidnapped and subsequently killed, we wish to clarify the facts surrounding this incident to ensure accurate information is disseminated to the public.

On March 3, 2025, at approximately 12:00 PM, Mr. Parradang arrived at Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, driving a black Mercedes Benz. He checked into the hotel, paying a sum of Twenty two thousand naira (N22,000) for one night's stay. Shortly thereafter, he directed the hotel room attendant to escort a female guest who had come to visit to his room. This lady left the hotel premises around 04:00PM of the same day.

Mr. Parradang did not exit his room after the lady left. Around 04:00 AM of 04 March 2025, a friend who is a military officer, concerned for his wellbeing, traced him to the hotel. Upon arrival, the hotel receptionist and the officer proceeded to his room, where Mr. Parradang was found deceased, seated in a chair.

The Durumi Police Station was notified and officers promptly arrived at the scene, secured the area, took photographs, and collected all relevant evidence to preserve the integrity of the crime scene. The body has been transferred to the National Hospital for necessary procedures, and hotel staff are currently cooperating with Police investigations.
Effort is in top gear to effect the arrest of the lady.

We urge the public and media outlets to refrain from spreading unverified information, including claims of kidnapping, that may incite fear or panic. The FCT Police Command is committed to conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding Mr. Parradang's death. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to ensure justice is served.

But if you accept Jesus Christ and repent before dying or before rapture, you will make heaven. Someone's last state before they die or before rapture, determines their going to heaven. And going to heaven requires no sin in you at your last state on earth.

It is only Jesus Christ that takes one to heaven. If you are morally upright without sin and yet do not accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour, you cannot make heaven. The purpose of God implanting sanctification and holiness in people is to make them live lives without sin.

A long haul train for example is spacious and more comfortable. You can sleep or work on your laptop enroute.

Africans can regard Afcon as one of the most important competition in the sport, but that’s not sufficient. The rest of the world must also view the tournament as a major tournament.

I think if you take into consideration , the context of the discussion, it will be easier to see the point that Jamie made. It’s simply that success in the tournament could contribute to deciding Africa’s best player on the continent, but historically won’t contribute so much to your ranking as the best player in the world.

We can review Afcon player of the tournament and their global ranking in every particular year. Then compare with Euro and Copa America. We see a pattern. Winners in these other tournaments automatically become contenders for the world’s best player. This speaks to their prestige and influence.

Our outrage is hypocritical too. We have had top players in Africa skip Afcon. They had no injury. It is because they didn’t rate the tournament. Yet, no outrage.

African players such as Mikel Obi and others who have passionately contributed to the discuss have viciously and disappointingly muddled up everything. They want to be defenders or messiahs of some sort. Yet, if they persist, they have only succeeded at building their own influence at the detriment of the competition. And only attempt to widen the depth of denial.

Let Afcon, the players, our media … let us be constructive. We would easily see that AFCON falls short esp on its impact on players ranking globally. It is elevating AFCON standing that should be the direction, not pretending that it has some standing.
