Carragher that can't lace even Taye Taiwo shoe? He's always been an idiot right from day one. His flops at the defense line was the major reason Liverpool had problems winning trophies. I've never liked him even though I've been a Liverpool fan for many years. I've always hated him for been the vulnerable side through which opponents penetrate our defense. If not that England over hype their subpar talents, who is this idiot to talk when football is mentioned. |

maasoap: Their failure wasn't about the youths of nowadays not embracing their innovation, they were doing fairly well at the inception. Tinubu just happened to them because his economic policies have wrecked people's disposable income. People are now spending almost all their income on food and transport, coupled with the high prices of electronic devices and internet access and affordability as mentioned in the report. I don't think access to device is the issue. The target audience is not just interested in the product. That's it. |

A lady was in labour in a private hospital and it wasnt going too okay and had to.do C.S , the. insurance company was delaying to approve. A major one, dey play
The husband was told he would foot the bill if the appoval does not come
Insurance that sometimes would not pay the facility. Nigerians too are fond of insurance fraud. It's very important you know what's covered and what's not. At I know the in the plan I use, CS is one of the basic things covered. I work in an organization where customers are not always right. Now imagine what they'd do to another organization they paid annual premium to that delays approval? Once a staff complain about any delays, you're a goner. |

Go to east Africa, Ethiopia for example and see how Christians THAT HAVE SENSE dress. Even the Arab Christians dress decently covering their body well and wearing veils regularly. It's even in your Bible that women should cover their hair in the church and while praying, but how many of still obeys those laws today? The same laws Jesus said he didn't come to condemn but to fulfill. It's the same hijab and burqa they used to go f**k around everywhere in the North. Simple. Go take Nigerien visa to enter Niger. Period. That's what they want you to do. Since they have decided to create this red tape, good luck to them. A very good excuse to stop any connection of Niger and Nigeria. Just imagine Buhari wasted so much to put a rail from Niger to Kano. Are they not the same Katsina sees as their relatives? Lol.

Baxilexi: These are dynasties that have the weapons, population and resources to pull others into themselves, of which if you look into their conquests/history have done so centuries back. Expecting that the Yoruba empire will stand with the likes of France and China is delusional, because by the time it gets to where they are today, the world as we know it wouldn’t be bothered about language or tribal differences.
Nigeria should be moving towards cohesion and not disintegration. Turning back the hands of time is foolhardy.
Why should we be pushing to have 520 translation of the same text?
I’ve observed that the angst felt by most yorubas in this platform is misplaced. The expropriation compensation associated with the ouster of all non-indigenes from the region will bankrupt the region, and where does that leave the state?
@Mods, you really need to be up and doing with your tasks. This is a public forum of international reach and uncouth individuals should be banned indefinitely. Please erase this post and treat accordingly. No country will amount to anything using a foreign language to teach their children. If you're in doubt, point me to just one developed country that's using a foreign language as the primary language of instructions in their schools. If you still don't know the role of language in technology development as related to education, then I'm sorry for you. I doubt our black ancestors that built pyramids will be able to do so if they were speaking a foreign language. |

adaperry25: The noise about tech got into my head and I quit my 8-5 job. Though the 8-5 job was becoming stressful and toxic, I couldn't cope and had to leave.
I had saved some funds and learned data analytics. Now here is where the issue lies.
I've applied to more than a thousand jobs and I keep getting rejections.
My hope was to get a remote job but I'm not seeing it coming.
Is tech all about noise or it's just saturated?
While learning , we were told a data analyst earns 30k USD annually. I'm just getting tired and frustrated If you can get even an unpaid internship to put your skills to use, do it. Except you're very experienced, getting a tech job now is very difficult. It wasn't so 3 years ago. It will be easier for you if you know Java or C#/.NET. Almost every serious company that needs a software engineer use either one of those. Being a self-taught Data scientist without industry experience won't take you anywhere. |

PapaNnamdi: Not all tech jobs in Nigeria is based on recommendation,
All jucy jobs are on recommendation In short any employment opportunity in Nigeria is based on recommendation.
Even teaching , security nannyjob
Nigeria is not a country to seek employment without proper networking.
But the truth is,
Almost all tech jobs can be automated now with AI, The speed with which it's application is increasing begs the question will there be jobs in the nearest future?
I WAS emphasis on was a graphic designer and web developer looking for paid gigs online, Until I downloaded ChatGPT then realized my skill will become obsolete soon from what chat got could do as at the time,
Today AI is making videos, paintings, websites even cloning and maintenance,
Now who will pay for something that can be done almost free with AI Good luck to you on building a serious webapp from chatgpt prompt. AI will only make work easier for software engineers, it won't replace them. Anyone who can be replaced by AI was never in tech. |

Baxilexi: In the digital world, programmers and coders try to harmonize their codes such that people from all over the world can participate and add value. It’s never about who started it, but the impact it plays in producing products that are invaluable to human existence.
This current trend by the Lagos government is reinventing a wheel that is a total waste of time, resources and a distraction from more important issues. Nigeria is losing out on being involved in global decision making/ global value chain, can someone explain how knowing physics in Yoruba will aid in building a plane or car? Even China sponsored student to the US and UK to learn in English and bring value home.
The laws/legal system we practice is western and is such that everyone who lives in the region should be able to make use of it. Should all lawyers in SW re-enroll in a Yoruba school of legal studies and start over?
Build more museums instead, invest in heritage sites, build statues, modernize your local cuisines, sponsor carnivals etc.
To those who support this trajectory my question is, is divisiveness the only thing the Blackman is good at? China is teaching physics in Chinese, Germany in German, France in French, but this idiot thinks it's not good to do that in Yoruba. Na mumu dey worry you. |
