State of emergency is just to enable the President exercise extra powers to contain the situation including deploying of troops to secure lives and properties, it does not empower him removing an elected person, that power can be abused as it is in Fubara's case.

You booked hotel, but find it difficult to cancel your booking since you're no longer coming? Same for flight? No one is forcing them to hold the conference under state of emergency. The request is to return the money given for it. It should not be difficult since Rivers state should not be funding conferences in Enugu.

We have a fairly large numbers of Christians in the North East. Taraba is dominantly Christian. In Gombe, all the local governments bordering adamawa are majorly Christians too. Christian population in Adamawa is almost at par with Muslims. It might interest you to know that most places ravaged by boko Haram in borno are Christian dominated areas. One needs to wonder if it's deliberate. If you move to the north west. The whole of southern kaduna is almost 90% or more as Christians. Fairly large in kebbi too. There's no state in the North East or North West that you'll not see at least a local government that's dominantly Christian. I don't want to include North Central because Christians are the clear majority there

No nation will become reasonably self-sufficient by selling unprocessed mineral resources, and then be a net consumer of the finished good. I don't know why it's so difficult to force China to have their factories here if they're interested in it, assuming we don't have indigenous individuals that are capable of it. Politicians are always eager to make money quickly and steal as much as possible. No foresight whatsoever. The worse and the annoying part is that, they don't run their personal business that way.

Why are I saying this? It costs less than $400 million to build it and was started in 2022.
Here in Nigeria, $16 billion was allegedly spent on electricity (almost the same amount it costs to build Dubai), and still not a single thing to point to.
Truly, we have no business being poor. It's just that few people who find themselves in privileged positions decides that it's better to steal almost everything in their care for their personal gains, than for national development. It's only in Nigeria that stealing has been institutionalized.
