Politics › Re: Okorocha And The 2015 Imo Guber Projections by DerideGull(m):
tawa89: I don't like Rochas' fraternization with APC. I will not vote for APC and for someone like me that campaigned against him during the last elections i would be totally dishonest if i say Rochas is not the best governor this country has seen for a very long time. Imo state has no special status. They aint as rich as Lagos and Akwa ibom yet Okorocha's 2yrs in power is everything i never even imagined. I saw thick bushes not just dilapidated roads been reconstructed, i mean thick bushes cleared and new double lane roads complete with sidewalks and street lights . The kind of developmental strides this man is undertaking in Imo should be a case study on what good governance is all about. Have any1 seen the new Owerri city school? Even Amaechi's schools in PH doesnt even come close and that school is free for everyone. I went to orlu 2months ago i was totally marvelled at what i saw. You might miss ur father's compound in Orlu same thing in Okigwe zone. The funniest part is that people dont know where he gets the money he uses to develop Imo. Those thick bushes along Owerri-Aba road have been cleared with atleast four industries opening up there. I don't like his politics but i can't deny the fact he is the best. Its mostly*APGA -APC ish* Anambra folks or disgruntled Ohakim lackeys that have bad things to say about his administration . I think he has the right to choose any party he desires and the people to associate with.
I personally think Rochas' Administration is more than Owelle . It is more than an idea. Rochas is a movement.
I have long realized the major problem in Nigeria is centered on the so-called educated ones among us. It is funny that a praise singer of Alhaji Rochas Okorocha will cite Aba-Owerre road, a federal road, as achievement of the Ojioun 1 of Imo State and blindly forgot to mention Owerre-Okigwe road, a federal road, was impassable because the same Ojionu claimed it was federal road.

A canny attempt to avoid the mess on Owerre-Okigwe road while on his way to his village, Alhaji had to use Owerre-Umuahia road where he unfortunately ran into Senator Chris Anyanwu who was on her way to the village in Mbaise. Folks guess what, fracas ensured between the senator and Ojionu governor of Imo State who tried to run away from his mandated responsibilities.

There is nothing such as Hausa-Fulani in Nigeria. The term, Hausa-Fulani, is the most idiotic and ignorant nomenclature in Nigeria. Why not Tiv-Berom or Angas-Tarok? Nigerians constantly lie and deceive themselves by indulging in emptiness such as Hausa-Fulani crap.

If Alhaji Rochas Okorocha has slightly performed in the Imo State as his delusional praise singers would want us to believe, they would have flooded NL with videos, not pictures, of ojionu’s achievements. Only fools such as Ikeokwu who can not differentiate grave diggers from mere road construction workers can write such praises for jackass like Alhaji from Ogboko.
Politics › Re: Ojukwu Was Right Afterall by DerideGull(m): 8:17pm On Jun 14, 2013
I am sick and tired with Nigerians and their deceitful illogicalities. Did Nigeria have federalism before Ironsi? Nigerians shamelessly misconstrue decree 34 as if military regime has any form of democracy which is the grandfather of federalism. Every military regime spells unitary government period. Decree 34 did not abolish regionalism as detractors would want us believe. If the decree 34 abolished second tier of government, one wonders why Nigeria had regional military governors.

There is no doubt decree 34 brought certain prejudice to the regions especially in the area of foreign policy. However, the main aim of decree 34 is unity as it created the National Public Service Commission.

The main detractors of decree 34 were the nepotistic elements in Nigeria who transformed tribal polity into an art form. Why did Nigeria’s messiah, in Gowon, keep decree 34, promulgated decree 8 and decree 14?

Till date, decree 34 is very alive and healthy in Nigeria.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Politicians More Interested In Women - Utomi by DerideGull(m): 2:20pm On Jun 14, 2013
As usual with anything Nigeria, Prof Utomi has resorted to the third phony aspect of Nigerian polity. The summation of the interest among Nigerian politicians runs in the line of hungry for power, money and woman.

I applaud Professor Abubakar Momoh for stating that the nonsensical or tribal praise for Fashola of Lagos State is a delusional exercise. As in every state in the country, drinking water is very scarce in Lagos State and it only comes by way of World Bank project.

Please locate the original name of Eleme. Again, Eleme is not Ogoni as most people wrongly thought.

I do know Eleme is not Ogoni. Are they not from upland? Or are they from Riverine area?
Please, read my post again. I was trying to make a point to Afam.
Yes, Eleme is from the Upland of Rivers State. However, there is nobody inhabiting the Riverine areas of Rivers State when population is the major issue in the discussion. Not to digress, I remembered my visit to Yanegoa in the 80s, canoe was the "Okada" needed to go from house to house.

Ikwerres he could mean the IBO speaking populations.
Port Harcourt city, Obio-akpor, Emuoha, Ikwerre, Etche, Omuma. Ogba egbema Ndoni, Ahoada East, Ahaoda west, Oyibo, Eleme
That's all I can remember

First off, take out Ahoada East and West and Eleme, they are not Igbo speaking areas. We know them to be from upland area just like the Ogonis and people from Abua.

You probably live in Port Harcourt that is why you were able to mention these places, have you been to the riverine areas and can you mention them the way you just did with the upland? Do we know the population of these places? If you can mention them, that is good, be it as it may, I will also mention a few that I can remember as I am typing: Abonnema, Buguma, Opobo, Bonny, Andoni, Okrika, Nkoro, Degema, Bakana Ogu, Ogoni etc

From the little I know, in terms of population and the make-up of Rivers State, I still maintain that the Ikwerres are not 50% of Rivers population.
Please locate the original name of Eleme. Again, Eleme is not Ogoni as most people wrongly thought. In addition, disregard the anglicized name for Ahoada and seek the true name and connotation
Politics › Re: Amaechi Says Rivers Governorship To Rotate Among Ethnic Group by DerideGull(m): 1:18pm On Jun 14, 2013
Idazinim: Not exactly, In some posts he is right, in others he is not completely correct. The Ikwerres are never 50% of the Rivers State voting population. Ikwerre is Phalga, Obio Akpor, Emuoha and Ikwerre LGA's. Ogoni is Tai, Eleme, Khana and Gokhana LGA's This is 4 LGA's a piece. Probabably if Abagworo's assessment is correct on the issue of population, then Ikwerre and Ogoni only makes up Rivers State as Ogoni could have taken the remaining 50%. Where will you now place the Kalabaris with 3 LGA's, old Ahoada with 4 LGA's and Old Bonny with 4 LGA's, amongst other old blocs with more than 2 LGAs. At best Abagworo has lived long in Port Harcourt and is never a Riversman hence can't truly know about Rivers State, as he may be merely seeing Rivers State as Port Harcourt which is very wrong. But all the same He is so right on Amaechi's travail being in his belief for fairness for other groups, which is commendable.
It is a wasteful endeavor to dwell on whether Ikwerri is Igbo or not. However, Eleme is not Ogoni. In addition, there are Igbo from Obigbo, konkom, Oboapku, Abiama, Umuagbayi and Afam.
Politics › Re: MKO And June 12 Celebrated Only By Yorubas by DerideGull(m): 8:27pm On Jun 13, 2013
Most Nigerians are inherently delusional. MKO Abiola did not win any election on June 12, 1993. I guess only in Nigeria that people assumed a cancelled election is won election. Certain sections of Nigeria will always strive to eat their cake and have it. Is it not funny that one confused fellow wrote that Yoruba had democracy for more 500 years? One wonders whether Oba system of governance in Yoruba land was representative system of government, aka democracy.
Politics › Re: PDP Warns Aregbesola Over Naming Airport After Mko Abiola by DerideGull(m): 4:26pm On Jun 13, 2013
It is good to know that the federal government of Nigeria is building the airport in Osun State. It must recall that the people of Imo State in particular and Ndigbo in general built the airport in Imo State. What a contrast.

It will not take long before few loudmouthed jackasses inform us how the government Osun State built state as in case Lagos being built by the government western region of Nigeria.
Politics › Re: PDP Challenges APC To Debate On Programmes by DerideGull(m): 1:25pm On Jun 13, 2013
If the title of this thread is remotely true, it is safe to conclude that stupidity in Nigeria knows no boundary. Why should PDP, a bona fide political party, insinuate of challenging a non-entity such a All Progressives Congress (APC), mere newspaper announcement, to a debate? Until All Progressives Congress (APC) is registered as a political party in Nigeria, it is as goofy as the organizers.

Can Nigerians not get something right in the first instance? I can not understand this nonsense.

Politics › Re: Homosexuals Protest In Anambra by DerideGull(m):
To be a human being is all about obeying certain laws being them natural or statuary laws. Laws are also very local in the sense that certain laws in USA can not be applicable in Nigeria. It is against the law in USA to indulge in polygamy while there is no such useless law in Nigeria or some other Africans countries.

There is nothing hypocritical in obeying laws.

The June 12, 1993 election on MKO Abiola was like any other thing about Nigeria, figment of idiotic imagination. It was built on tribal sentient and devoid of any human logic. All these loudmouthed pinheads that continuously shout June 12 have no authority to organize dog catcher’s election. The authority that staged the election later declared there was no election yet patented fools are still making noise about “June 12”.

It does not bother me to find you instinctively myopic on the issues about Nigeria, Ndigbo and Biafra. I am not going to make you wiser than you have appeared. I have noticed you kept referring to south-east and do not know if you meant the idiotic coinage pointing to a political zone.

You must know that Igbo land is not limited to the so-called south-east political zone because the term is one of the political shackles needed to be removed from the peoples' eyes. Again, Biafra was and is still larger than eastern region.

I have seen the pictures of the kids allegedly yarning for Biafra today. There is no doubt that mothers and fathers of these kids were running naked in their respective homes during Nigeria/Biafra war.

Nigeria is very dusty and rudderless yet you have commented about groovy scenes in Owerre. When the man-made shackles are lifted off these peoples’ back, the explosion of socio-economic growth in Republic of Igbo land or New Biafra will trail from hinterland to the coastal plains of the country. Who needs dumbass Dubai when there are Owerre, Igwe Ocha and Asaba?

ballabriggs: Typical Igbo dreamer, Biafra has become a reality bla bla bla. Declare it now make we dey look you.

Every person is the problem and not the Igbo man, a bunch of self centered people.

Where were you when a lot of Igbo households left to the East for a few months during 'Oso Abiola'. I could see at that time that life was becoming tough for a lot of those households. Their livelihoods were briefly taken away and there was agony. Gladly the situation got resolved and they had to live their normal lives again.

Look Mr, stop dreaming, if you secede, no one will give you the same rights you had in Lagos, Abuja and Kano.
Are you nuts? Who made you the arbiter of time limitation on declaration of Independence? Time will definitely dictate when and how Republic of Igbo or Biafra will be declared.

What has Dubai got to do with Kano or Lagos? I am talking about paradise you are moronically dwelling on jungle. Anybody who peacefully had Republic of Igbo land or Biafra and still think about Lagos, Abuja and Kano should be shot.

ballabriggs: Welsh and English have the similar culture and tradition? Ever been to Wales before or interacted with a Welsh person?
Of course Scotland have your likes and David Cameron has offered them a referendum because he knows it's a huge joke. The referendum will fail totally.

You can see the way you are being chased daily in Ghana. That is the same thing that will happen. In fact it will even be worse given the population of Igbo's in the SW and North today.

So keep dreaming, do not analyse your environment and know what is best. Look at others that have done it before and use it as a basis to form your myopic view.

Your brothers in Ghana are looking for Ghanaian passports to prevent immigration from harassing them. If that's what you wish for your people, I spray you holy water. Ka chineke mela gi ebere.
It is unfortunate you are saddled with skewed thoughts. Does it occur to you that the alleged chase in Ghana is as a result of being citizens of the jungle called Nigeria? The Republic of Igbo land or even Biafra will attract a different diplomatic respect from its neighbors.

You should be worried about your peoples’ independence and save yourself the hypertension pill over the thought of Biafra or Republic of Igbo land.

If by any chance you are an Igbo person, you still have rights to permanently move to other nation states or what remains of Nigeria when Republic of Igbo land or Biafra becomes a reality.

ballabriggs: Bla bla bla, are the Welsh and English people the same? Why not balkanise Britain?

You want to secede and you think you will still have the same rights as you did when you were in one country. Biggest joke, you cannot eat your cake and have it. Most Igbo's engage in retail trades which most countries frown at when non-citizens engage in it. In fact in Nigeria, retail is reserved for Nigerians alone. It means you will not be allowed to own those shops in Alaba, Matori, and a whole lot of other places in the West. In whose favour is that?

So you will secede and still have unhindered rights to your assets? Keep dreaming, when the time comes you will know how far.
This is one of the moronic illogicalities I have read in a while. I guess Scottish, Welsh and English have fundamental commonality and similarity in culture and tradition. By the way, Scotland is nursing the idea of independency. I guess Nigerians should not be allowed to own shops in Ghana, Cameroon, Benin Republic and Togo because Nigeria is an independent country. What a jerk.

ballabriggs: All these noise about Biafra is just a sign of how uneducated and myopic a lot of these people are. Some of them may have been through higher schools, however, that does little to their reasoning.

Biafra may be desirable but the fact is you cannot have it and so stop letting some jobless people make money off you.

Igbo's with a huge population are able to thrive today because of access to the macro-environment outside their tiny landlocked area. What happens when barriers and access is denied to these markets. Our World today thrives because barriers are being broken and not being placed.

When you get your Biafra, you leave all your assets behind in the North and East and start from scratch again. Don't tell me you did same in the 1970's. Fact is you were able to come out of it because you moved to environments outside your area. Also the population of the 1970's is not the same as today and so it won't be the same as it was then.

If you understand the issues with balkanising this country Nigeria, you will go back to sleep and work harder on how to build it.

It is easy to organise protests and make loud noises at Ariaria but that is far from the issue.
It appears nairaland is attractive to ill-formed trolls in massive numbers. I guess only a bloody fool will castigate market women who did not see the four walls of elementary school for agitating for political freedom or even nation state.

Who is this moronic ninny willing to tell people they can not have a desired country? This joker needs to be educated so he\she could realize there is nothing bad being a landlocked country. After all, one of the best economies in Africa sits atop a landlocked country.

I guess the barriers being broken are man-made political shackles in places such as USSR, Yugoslavia, and Czechoslovak that have been broken by nationalistic movements dictated by culture and tradition of the poeple. By the way in Western Europe, it has been Britain for British, Germany for German, France for French, Italy for Italian, Holland for Dutch, Sweden for Swedes, Denmark for Danish, Norway for Norwegian, etc. Why not Republic of Igbo land for Igbo?

The last I check though, Europe which has been balkanized for ages does not stop free movement or residence of the people within the continent. Nigeria was not created for the economic or political interest of Nigerians and I believed time has come for Nigerian to redraw the shape of Nigeria according the socio-politico-economic interest of the inhabitants.

dayokanu: Have you seen anyone write SW and north together like you parasites write SS/SE everytime?
It is because, as usual, Yoruba are afraid of Fulani, Hausa, Kanuri and Nupe whom the Yoruba lost considerable acreage during the Caliphate rampage. Serious and determined face slaps await any Yoruba who attempt to include or associate Kwara with SW. After the Caliphate mercilessly drove the Yoruba out of Kwara and its environs, Yoruba permanently ceased to associate with the region around Kwara and Kogi States. Are you a useless nut? Who does not know this historical fact in Nigeria?

It is laughable that Yoruba, mostly the turncoats, are now gradually and cunningly extending courtship hands to Itsekiri people in Delta State. Please do not try to break your ugly arses on the so-called south-south political zone because you surely will get plentiful of it when the time comes.

If you are an Igbo and you are still in doubt about him, you can come to Ibadan or go to Jos where his free education still runs and ask questions about this detrabalized Nigerian.
Ndigbo had never given hoot about Okorocha's “free education or crap” culture. Igbo man is not wired for panhandling like folks from the areas you mentioned in the above post. Igbo man pays for what he wants and speaks his mind when time to criticize. Since Ndigbo started borrowing this free-loading culture from their neighbors, characters such as Rochas Okorocha started emerging in AlaIgbo.

Okija juju: [b]

Again, the V8 hilux engine thing was a mistake.. Sadly, I can't do more than this to prove it to you. I am a car enthusiast and should at least know this.

On the debate regarding a V4 engine vs a V6 or V8 engine in a race, I think that should go without saying. That's why most vehicles that carry these V8 engines always carry very small body frames. E.g, Honda city, e.t.c.

Before you call me a lair in capital letters grin, open this link and see where I stated it... https://www.nairaland.com/1315722/mixed-reactions-enugus-kia-police/1

Well, I guess my points can always be modified and enhanced further, but again, I don't think I am wrong about anything I stated earlier..

On the Ghana matter, the point there has nothing to do with size but efficiency. For their size, they seem to be doing okay security wise. It's rare to see a Ghana Police car in the same battered condition you see Nigerian Police Hiluxes and Prados. Infact, it's not an uncommon site to see a rotted Nigerian police hilux at junctions and round abouts. It all about proper training my guy. I know that every Nigerian police officer can move a car, but I can bet that very few know traffic rules. Less than 5% have attended a defensive driving course either. Ghana police somehow seem to low how to maintain and preserve their patrol vehicles way way better than the Nigerian police and this bothers me.

The point here is simply we can't keep recycling bullshit. I case you have forgotten, these cars are bought with our money. Every year we give out brand new vehicles to the police, to civilians as taxis and government parastatals as official cars and in under 1 year, those cars have been wrecked beyond recognition. The following year, we buy more and give to these same people. I'm sorry, but that's a fo0lish mans way of doing things. It's obvious we have a problem that Sullivan didn't solve before putting more of our money into the same cesspit. Next Gvernor of Enugu might just decide to buy BMW 745is for the police, by then, I can bet that the number of functioning police rios wouldn't be up to 30% of the original quantity.

We need to stop wastage...

P.S:: I never said you said I said kias are not durable... grin it was just me pointing out that I left out that point from my earlier argument.

From the body language of Jang’s group, there is no doubt he and his supporters won the election. I am more willing to give Jang the benefit of doubt than Amaechi. My grandfather told me to always use two hands to grab whatever I am clearly perceived to belong to me.
