Politics › Re: Okorocha Will Contest 2015 Presidential Election - Imo Dept Gov by DerideGull(m):
As far as Rochas Okorocha is concerned, he can not win election in Imo State as a dog catcher. It is plain idiocy to insinuate voting for Okorocha for Igbo sake in presidential election. Since Okorocha became governor, it has been Imo State for Orlu.

My humble take on Rochas Okorocha’s political shenanigans in Imo State remains that it will be extremely hard in future for a candidate from Orlu zone to win a statewide election in Imo state.
Politics › Re: Let's Have Your Complaints, Suggestions & Enquiries Here by DerideGull(m):
Why do most Nigerians navigate to nairaland and join issues over alleged rampant corruption witnessed among the so-called leaders in the jungle called Nigeria?

I am quite sure current leaders or leaderships in Nigeria are better than the management of nairaland forum. At least, the nepotisms and tribal bias jingoisms in Nigeria bring considerable amount of millions in dollars to the practitioners.

It was not long ago, a moderator that goes by moniker-OAM4J got into the issue of usages of word-Ibo for Igbo in texts to the chagrin of well-meaning Igbo chaps on nairaland forum. When certain Igbo chaps resorted to the use of Yari.ba in texts too, the issue was elevated to protracted academic and tribal exercises.

The charges and countercharges did not last long when one Dede1 scholarly and eruditely exposed the intellectual laziness of those who argued that Yari.ba or Y.ooba has not been extensively used in texts.

Even OAM4J has to swallow his\her ethnic bigoted pride by accepting the findings of Dede1 that Yari.ba or Y.ooba has, in fact, been used in texts and there was no iota of bigotry in the usage of the word.
As I write this complaint, it bothers me to find the usage of Ibo for Igbo is open session yet it is an infringement of nairaland’s idiotic rule to use Yari.ba or Y.ooba for Yoruba.

Folks, I want you all to judge why the same moderator, OAM4J who has been forced to accept there is no intent of tribally biased bigotry over the usage of Ibo for Igbo or Yari.ba or Yo.oba for Yoruba, would ban deridegull for the innocuous use of Yari.ba or Yo.oba on nairaland.

In fact, one and only convincing reason that comes to mind is that naiarland is allegedly owned by a Yari.ba and OAM4J could hail from the same ethnicity as the former.

I thought Nigeria sucks but nairaland is useless. How can the so-called youths of Nigeria ever repair the cracks on the foundation of the country when tribal bigotry takes center stage on a transient entity such as nairaland?
Politics › Re: Police & MASSOB Clash In Anambra, 11 Injured, 5 Arrested by DerideGull(m):
oluamid: According to the constitution, It is a treasonable offence to want to divide the country whether by peaceful or forceful means, and because the Police is powerless against the Boko Haram, Ombatse, ND militants and other groups does not mean it should turn a blind eye.

The constitution gives everyone the right of association but it also give instances where this right won't be guaranteed. I subscribe to what someone posted above that 'Biafra' need not be a 'physical' entity. It could be what is used to unite the Igbo nation and ensured they have a unity of purpose in the Nigerian polity.

Nigeria is made up of different peoples and tribes and everyone of them feel aggrieved and marginalised. If anyone feels he dosent want to belong to 'Nigeria', there are lawful ways to make yourselves heard. Protests and demonstrations won't give you what you want, rather, it would unite the rest of the country against you.

IMHO, I think you should hold your House of Assembly representatives, Governors, and others in the corridors of power responsible. They ought to be the ones who ensure that the constitution is ammended to allow any part of the country to leave if they so wish. In this one thing they have failed woefully.
For the sake of posterity, I should appreciate if you could state the section of Nigerian constitution that gave rise to the post above.
Politics › Re: Why Do We ( The Igbos) Always Pander To Any Government In Power. by DerideGull(m):
Clerverly: The major problem we have in Igboland is that we pander so much to any Government in power whether this is out of sheer lack of political sophistication, cowardice or inability to
speak fairly with one voice or combination of the above, the political scientists are yet to unravel this. The log goes;
Shagari--------------Igbos voted massively
IBB------------------Cheiftancy Titles here and there!
1993 Elections------- Igbos supported IBB candidates.
Abacha----------------Strongest base was East.
Obasanjo--------------- Igbos supported him against our own Ekwueme
Yardua- ---------------won all the states in East
GEJ- -------------------Largest support base is in the East
I always laugh away people's ignorance when they claim, Igbo support Jonathan out of tribal or ethnic lines because had Yardua been alive today, he would have enjoyed the same massive support as Jonathan from the Igbo. We are too timid and crude when it comes to playing Nigerian politics, always not wanting to upset the apple cart. Until we do that for once, other regions will never respect and give us our deals when it comes to sharing the spoils. Let the fair minded Igbo Guys on this forum discuss this. Ka Chineke mezie okwu, Ka udo chia na'ala Igbo!
It is unfortunate most Africans are known to have the issues of having a picture in mind and tend express different picture verbally or literally. The typical example of such ambiguity is the post above.

How could Igbo persons pander to a government in power when, in fact, they voted to install the aforementioned government in power? Ndigbo are egalitarian society and abhor tribally biased politics.

Ndigbo’s politics goes the way of party-based and will ignore Igbo son in what they termed wrong party and vote for Yoruba, Fulani, Hausa, Ijo, Tiv or Nupe who is in the right party. I did not recall Ndigbo voting massively for Shagari because there was NPP. However, any candidate that publicly calls Igbo voting block a bluff as in the case of 1993 election can not be a president of Nigeria.

It is not out of place to show appreciation to anybody who seemed to have the interest of Ndigbo at heart during the leader’s tenure as Nigerian head of state.
Politics › Re: Who Suffers If Nigeria Divides? by DerideGull(m): 12:20pm On Jun 05, 2013
Does it not amount to indelible idiocy for an outsider to be worried to the point of hypertension because of the intended hardship that will befall those who would want to secede from Nigeria? Human beings do not last forever and I am piqued that few deluded Nigerians are hoping that colonial contraption such as Nigeria should last forever. I do not give a hoot if Nigeria is divided into 300 countries after all there are countries in Europe with population about 190,000 inhabitants.

I want a country of African constructs not what the Europeans handed down to my forbearers.
Politics › Re: Police & MASSOB Clash In Anambra, 11 Injured, 5 Arrested by DerideGull(m): 12:04pm On Jun 05, 2013
Nigeria is a typical jungle and a reasonable person does not operate in the jungle without a razor-sharp fang. MASSOB is joker’s group and pathetically empty-stomach hustlers. At the formative stage of MASSOB, there is group that suggested to MASSOB to engage in grass-root cells, adopt stratagems only known to military guys and exploit the Nigeria for weapon importation. However, MASSOB adopted the silly non-valiance motto which made would-be stealth supporters to turn their backs on the pitiable group.
Politics › Re: NGF Election Crisis: Jang Apologises To Nigerians by DerideGull(m): 10:19pm On May 29, 2013
komekn: It is very serious cause for concern a room with barely 45 people of which only 35 voted with clear A4 sized ballot paper counted openly in full view of everybody and somebody says the election was rigged.

You really see that there are no levels of deceit, trickery, deception, falsehood that our politicians so called honourable men cannot stoop to, this is right before our eyes in full the public gaze , just got to CRY 4 Nigeria.

I know our politicians are without shame but this is beyond shame, I actually thought that Jang was a Christian i know better now. The preceding acts by the PDP senior hierarchy suspension, possible impeachment and the opening of the purported secretariat for the NGF by Jang, says it all NUFF SAID, 2015 is going to be rigging galore.
Nigerian governors are not kids and definitely not hungry sycophants. Those governors who voted for Jang have congratulated him for the victory and even paid him a visit. While those who claimed to have voted for Amaechi kept mute while occasionally talking about rigging and encouraging ignorant sycophants and praise singers to vomit craps on this forum. The governors are only 36 in number and have ability to publicly say which of the contestants they voted.
Politics › Re: NGF Election Crisis: Jang Apologises To Nigerians by DerideGull(m): 10:10pm On May 29, 2013
mikeansy: Forget about even being a State Governor

How can an old man with wife and children be so shameless huh

Gov Jang is clearly incapable of thinking for himself and making his own decisions

Verry terrible
What is Jang presently doing that Amaechi can not if Amaechi is the rightful winner of the election? It funny and very shameful indeed how low most Nigerians have sunken in depthless pity of ignorance. I had expected Amaechi to call the meeting of governors so that we can gauge his victory strength or mandate through the number of governors in attendance.

Up till this moment, Amaechi has kept mute and moronic governor such Okorocha kept accusing empty space of either rigging or whining that Amaechi won. The body language of Amaechi says he lost the election.
Politics › Re: Let's Have Your Complaints, Suggestions & Enquiries Here by DerideGull(m): 9:58pm On May 29, 2013
I still can not believe there is no auto-correction of Ibo to Igbo while there is such correction of Yari.ba to Yoruba. Why do Nigerians even think about democracy? Democracy works among individuals who would want a person to treat others as the person would want to be treated.
Politics › Re: Co-exist, Don't Co-annihilate, Jesse Jackson Warns Nigeria by DerideGull(m): 9:24pm On May 29, 2013
@OP

The above postulation by Jesse Jackson is absolutely nonsensical especially coming from a person who knew nothing about dynamics of tribalism. The so-called Nigerians do co-exit with citizens of USA on earth. The large number of nation states in present day Nigeria should not co-exit under the sovereign country called Nigeria. The seemingly nation states within Nigeria could co-exit only as sovereign countries or nations.
Politics › Re: Okorocha - NGF Election Was Credible, Amaechi Won by DerideGull(m): 9:08pm On May 29, 2013
Rochas Okorocha has forced to me to deduce that the position of state governor in Nigeria should be scraped. What we need in Nigeria are state administrators not irresponsible lappers such as Alhaji Rochas Okorocha.
Politics › Re: Northern Elders To President: Your Administration Worst In Nigeria History by DerideGull(m): 12:32pm On May 28, 2013
Any average Nigerian who expected anything less than these moronic statements accredited to Northern Elders Forum is a twisted fool.
Politics › Re: Why Ndi Igbo Must Embark On Self Cleansing-nwosu by DerideGull(m): 12:21pm On May 28, 2013
berem: It seems you didnt read the article well before commenting. He said the igbos shouldn't play a second fiddle to other ethnic group . He never mentioned any political party in particular so why castigating him?
My post covered the erroneous postulation of Nwosu on the issue of marginalization of Ndigbo and subsequent posts in response. Anybody who does not understand human implication of the civil war always rent like Nwosu.

As for the case of MASSOB and its useless motto of non-valiance, it is either Mr. Nwosu wrote like a novice or he or MASSOB does not understand what makes Nigeria thick.
Americans say it is foolhardy to show up at O K Coral with a six shooter.
Politics › Re: My Life In Danger, Amaechi Cries Out by DerideGull(m): 11:56am On May 28, 2013
Who in his\her right senses would want to give a hoot about the useless life of Rotimi Amaechi?
Politics › Re: Why Ndi Igbo Must Embark On Self Cleansing-nwosu by DerideGull(m):
It is unfortunate the likes of Nwosu, Okorocha and Amaechi are those in some sort of denial or completely delusional about the impact of the civil war. All these noises about ACN, CPC and ANPP merger reminds me about NPC and NNDP alliance which led to the civil war. It is a display of incurable insanity for any Igbo person or Baifran to remotely suggest any alliance with tribal parties such as ACN, CPC and ANPP or a merger of the three.

However, I am happy about a political undercurrent that seemed to gain momentum recently. It must be recall that youths of Middle Belts have shown remorse toward their forebearers for joining forces to fight Biafra. By the same token, there seemed to be a political grass root developing along the progressive axis of Middle Belt, South-east zone, States create from the defunct eastern region, Delta State and few progressive northern states such as Bauchi and Gombe.

I had liked the political leaders from the aforementioned progressive axis to build a solid political front from this aptly grass root political exigencies.
Politics › Re: Suspension From PDP: Gov. Amaechi Speaks by DerideGull(m): 1:14am On May 28, 2013
How can this moronic ninny, Rotimi Amaechi, talk about the need to have strong sense of democracy in Nigeria when insinuating he has power to dissolve constituted body elected by the people?

If the Nigerian constitution has even implied that state governors can dissolve the local governments, such section must be amended immediately by the national assembly.

By implication, it insinuates the president has power to dissolve the state government.
Politics › Re: Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi For President by DerideGull(m): 7:45pm On May 27, 2013
I had rather vote a goat under the umbrella of PDP or APGA than vote for anybody who emerges from the merger of ACN, CPC and ANPP or any of the candidate from each of the three parties.
Politics › Re: We Shall Punish Them With Our Voters Cards- Amaechi by DerideGull(m): 7:31pm On May 27, 2013
alkadriyar: In my opinion I think "punish them" does nt neccessaraly means voting for Buhari. Infacts I think the worst thing Amaechi will do is to Decamp to APC. With the ongoin battle between him and his party couple with the obvious pranks being played against him by PDP, he can stand on his own and gain the sympathy of the majority. But moving to APC, I doubt it. Unless and untill christiana Ranaldo Moves to Chelsea Lolz. Am not derailing from topic o.
Has APC (All Progressive Congress) been registered as a political party in Nigeria?
Politics › Re: Rotimi Amaechi Has Been Suspended From PDP by DerideGull(m): 7:22pm On May 27, 2013
From the numerous ill-formed posts on this thread portray most Nigerians as irredeemable sycophants. How is it humanly possible that a person of human intellect will continue to refer an association such as APC (All Progressive Congress) as a political party?

As I am writing this post, APC (All Progressive Congress) is not and may not become a political party in Nigeria.

Politics › Re: Nigeria Will Disintegrate In 2015 by DerideGull(m): 9:16pm On May 25, 2013
bilymuse: @ poster
Rigged elections has been part of Nigeria reality since 1960 and yet we are still together.
Tell us why Nigeria would disintegrate, and what would be the trigger?
Crass stupidity will trigger it. Reason being Nigeria is perpetually on the wrong path of progress as presently configured. It has already lost Bakassi which some of us intend to recover.
Politics › Re: Amaechi’s Camp Has Video Of Fraud-free Governors’ Forum Election by DerideGull(m): 9:08pm On May 25, 2013
Next thing I am waiting to hear is the silly noises certain loudmouthed and sore losers will create when bashing Nigerian governor’s forum because the anticipated win of the candidate supported by the clueless gangs of APC did not happen.
Politics › Re: NGF: Pro-jonathan Govs Split Forum, Name Jang Chairman by DerideGull(m): 8:57pm On May 25, 2013
The so-called younger Nigerians could be worse than the generation ahead of them. The state governors in Nigeria are not kids and definitely not hungry hustlers at this moment. We shall know who won the election when the next governor’s meeting is held because each of the voting governors will attend to the calling of whom they voted.

This loudmouthed postulation which is being fed by tribal bias and sectionalism was the exert provider of 1965 western regional crisis in Nigeria.

Achebe has been proven world over as the father of modern African Literature, Soyika and his Yoruba people should deal with it, they are the only tribe in world they felt very hurt and unsettled by this honor bestowed on Achebe by the world viewers.
Bros, there are certain sets of people in Nigeria that shall remain humanly pitiable for a very long time.

novicali: Let's remove insult and discuss/argue wisely and we can gain from the topic and I think that is what this forum is all about!
If a goon does not know the difference between an author and playwright, such character should be told in no uncertain terms. This Ola Joker had kept this thread running to infinity.
Politics › Re: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by DerideGull(m): 4:00pm On May 25, 2013
Ola Johnson: You know what, you make me always laugh whenever you say WS is not an author? You keep on making the same statement that 'I shall not be surprised if you are among the bloody nitwits who call a person who can read and write illiterate.' Na how you dey copy and paste am?
Anybody who can string two sentences together is not called an author or writer. If you want to put up Achebe’s contemporary, you do not bring a playwright to the table.
