The only legit business I can think of that does not require your presence and will give you 5% profit monthly is money lending. However it does have its challenges. I know because I have been there. However, NTB gives you a lot of peace of mind and does not require your presence. That's what I do now. |

unite4real: Most Bankers are surely not aware of these. You cant believe i have entered into a heated argument in a banking hall about TB and the need for them to buy for me via the CBN auction and they told me i should go to CBN. Because of that response, i was hell bent to draw crowd around and i ensured they called their head office in Lagos. After they called lagos, they were told that the customer was right about all the arguments. Since then, my attention for investments na express in that bank. I had a similar experience at Keystone bank on airport road Benin city, last year. I actually felt pity for them. |

phoinix: I think the confusion comes from the banks that handle the transaction.
Initially, they debit both your investment and yield from your account only for your account to be credited back with your supposed yield hours later. This gives the impression that you received yield upfront. True talk. |

We should realize that whatever we write here can be read all over the world. The fact that most Nigerian banks do the wrong thing does not mean that Nigerians know not the proper thing. |

Education › Why Learn A Foreign Language? by Desanta(op): 8:51am On Jul 17, 2015 |
If you must learn a foreign language, which would it be and way? I would love to learn French because I consider it the most romantic language in the world. I had to drop it in secondary school because it was clashing with my science subjects. I have tried several times to learn but because I don't have anyone to constantly speak it to, I always come back to square one. A friend of mine wants to teach me Korean, but I don't like the language. I can't imagine how on earth she leaned Korean, of all the beautiful languages in the world...................... |

Tinyemeka: Hi. What's the difference between cut-off and yield?
Thanks. The cut off is the interest rate at which the tenor is offered, but because the interest is paid upfront the actual(True) interest which is much higher is called the yield. |

highness111: Hmmmm, mind blowing knowledge here. I've been ripped off with FD. Early march this year I did a FD of 600k with GTB for 6% for 6month. Last month I entered into anoda FD of the same amount with fidelity Bank for 1 yr.
I think I ll liquidate all of them next week and go TBILLS.
Any advice pls. I think you should. You would actually get twice the rate the banks are giving you for FD. You will get about 12.8%(prevailing rate for 182 days) compared to the present 6% you are getting from FD. Before you now factor in the fact that you get your interest upfront and there is no 10% tax. |

Harkynkunle: I think this guy's case need some attention here... how could he invest 100k when d interest is stated @ 9.7..... and be given N525.89 for 91 days... let do d math... 9.7 percent of 100k should be 9700... and since he invested only 100k.... so it should be 9700\4.... which ought to be ...2425.. so I think there is a (p)...somewhere.... guru please attend to this You are correct. Even after they might have removed custodian fees it can't be N525.89. He should go speak with his account manager. |

alpontif: I agree with you sir, Love can cause indescribable levels of pain.........I used to argue that fact, I have never even fallen in Love before, until I met a babe months ago...she is fine and all...but the surprising thing is that in spite of certain attributes that I have never accepted in any woman before her...I still have this deep feeling for her....That caught me unaware. That was how i knew that I am in Love, and it is very painful. I look at those negative attributes, and my brain is telling me to get out of her life, But the heart is saying another thing. Love is not Funny, it is one of the most painful Feelings one can ever have..It even made me understand how God must have felt when Jesus was Crucified, and I even now understand Gods love for Man, which makes him to look beyond our Imperfections, and still love and care for us. God will fill the void sir, accept my condolences. Thanks. |

softysparky: It's hard when you don't even want to let go. I won't say I understand because I have never been there, I only wish there's a way I can help. Please try harder, you must have to live for something.
May her beautiful soul rest in peace. Thanks. Showing concern is a lot of help already. Just before she died, I prayed that God should allow me take her place and spare her life. She smiled and asked me "what kind of life do you expect me to live without you'. Now I ask myself that same question. Am now cold and indifferent to life despite the smile I wear like a mask. l have lost my peace and I try to bury my sorrow in my work. But the pain still shows through the window in my eyes. Death is a better substitute to this pain that I can't even explain or describe. Love can cause so much pain even as it can give joy. It is well as I try to surrender my feelings and my wife to Jehovah, the All knowing creator. |

op I feel you. But I think your situation is even better than mine. My wife died several years ago and all I want is my late wife and nothing else. I 've seen a psychologist, a psychiatrist and even my priest without any improvement. Even with all the friends and relatives around me, I'm terribly lonely. I have had to decline some consultancy jobs, just because money means nothing when the only person you wish to spend it on, is gone. I have contributed to several foundations, orphanage homes, and helped a few strangers, but it hasn't changed the feeling. I have met several interesting people who would have been in to be with, but I already have a scale(my wife), for measuring; and as expected they never make a perfect replacement.
You will meet that person just don't put her on a scale. Let your heart lead you and have fun while at it. Search for a soul mate and not a perfect wife, which doesn't even exist. |
