Erickymania:How is that supposed to be a shock? Nairaland is an anonymous platform. No one is expected to know anyone's names 🤷🏾♂️ |
muykem:I think it was deleted because of the grammatical error, not even the empty information you gave 🤔 |
To be honest, this Interim Government thing is popular amongst the supposed winners of the selection process than elsewhere. Why is their modus operandi always to create problems themselves and cry over it 🤔 |
Christistruth03:And how would you identify an IPOB Terrorist in Lagos? Can you give about 5 solid ways? Thank you in advance. |
Christistruth03: DesChyko: Christistruth03:I would think those arrests were all made in Eastern Nigeria and you're talking about making arrests in Lagos but let's forget about that for now. In a nutshell, you personally have no 'easy' way of identifying them yourself? 🤔 |
Politics in Nigeria is disgusting. It is as disgustingly malicious as even the people at the top themselves. It is what happens when instead of us to elect humble people with a spirit of servitude, we instead go for power-hungry individuals. This man was allegedly removed with a verdict that contains 'buga and lo lo'; till today, I find that hard to believe. Now look up there; some folks are attacking his perchance for dancing again; instead of sticking to the facts of the matter🤦🏾♂️ Every leader has and will continue to have their private lives; however, we should learn to separate that from their actual public office expectations. I think he should not allow the arrears to delay the recurring salaries. Even if the calculation will increase some civil servant's salaries, his government can just pay tentatively using the current payroll, then pay the arrears within the month; before the next month end. |
okeysoninv:Look, the truth is, you can't just disband and re-integrate these people into the society. That would be escalating social vices and knowing how stretched our security apparatus are in the country, we can ill-afford that now. The government needs to take over the system; it shouldn't be only during outwitting political contemporaries that they turn up the heat. They know which table leg to pool and which to adjust to take over the system; then use the same legs to sanitize the system. With more pullings, adjusting and relocating where necessary, they'd be in control and ensure the taxation becomes official government business. It can then be easy to manipulate from here on. |
Christistruth03:And how would you identify an IPOB Terrorist in Lagos? Can you give about 5 solid ways? Thank you in advance. |
shortIGBOman:Lol.. What? As someone who's been at both end, you lie. I'm 100% certain the number of agberos from Okoko to Mile 2 alone is enough to outnumber the entire number of agberos in Onitsha. I invite those with knowledge of both axis to counter 😎 That being said, these people cannot be wholly rebranded all at once but the government should take over the entire operation and make it civilised. In Anambra, it's possible. In Lagos, hmmm. |
Well, Charles Soludo, it is unfortunate that what was predicted to become worsened under your tenure is actually becoming worsened. As a seasoned economic expert, you were expected to completely clamp on this and generate effective tax collection method that will reflect both in the revenue records of the state (unlike what is obtainable elsewhere) and also reflect in the businesses of the payers. However, this report suggests you're failing at it. It's time to actually be useful to your people. It is those who wear the shoe that will tell you where it pinches. It isn't guessed from lofty high. That being said, traders in Anambra may want to borrow a leaf from what transpired in Alaba. As apolitical as they may want to remain, there is a real problem if they claim to work legitimately and they cannot take something home to their family at the end of the day. With them pushed all the way to their backs on the ball, there is no where else to go but forward. They need to face these people head-on and let the government intervene. |
tamdun:For every random person supporting Peter Obi (not even a petty thief) that isn't aspiring for anything in Nigerian political climate, there exists five brought up by Tinubu (also tainted by crime) aspiring to be Nigerian leaders somehow...

Tallesty1:...twenty years ago |
IgOga:Nice. When was this filed? Or it hasn't been filed yet? |
N3TRAL:I've got to say, APC supporters are quite picky when to tread the path of developed nations of the world and when not to. 😎 |
Damn! This is bad. Modified: After doing my part to report all tribalistic comments in the front-page, I have just 22 out of 31 comments visible. I hope you did yours too? I have reported that below me as well. I don't know if Nairaland has taken action against HilcomTech which is an alternative account of haslaw. 🤔 |
You are right. This thread is also a mistake. Most people don't go about hogging trash just to cry to people about it. They'd most likely leave it especially where they saw it. |
Lanretoye:Don't hesitate to use the Report button for this post, guys. Sanitising Nairaland is everyone's responsibility. |
puremaker7:Yeah. It could mean that. Whether you ate them separately or not, you ate rice and you ate beans. |
Now this is music |
On the other hand, this track will go well with 1759. The roasted bitter taste and alcohol will make the lyrics vanish from your reasoning, leaving only the beat. The lyrics reminds me of a suya seller's stall at 7 in the morning 🥲 |
That reply is ill-advised. I don't see the point of it. |
Plot Twist; He shows up to court with a mannequin dressed like Mercy Chinelo with a name tag. 🤷🏾♂️ |
Obinoscopy:Choi.. Obyno dey pah. See as word problem don solve election dilemma. Even if you change the and to or, still wahala |
JoshTim:A simple counter analysis and test would have made more sense. We're not purveyors of words in this discipline. Get busy. iREV is there. Clean up all of these words, use any of the 7 spaces you filled with words to put your words into the hard numbers we understand better and let us see what you have too. Science, unlike politics, is never a tale of two jealous nagging housewives you're making it look like. |
Johnjustice:Definition of bigot: a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic towards a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group. Below is an example of what a bigot would say Johnjustice:In my book, you're not qualified to wield that word, sorry. |
I have this friend, Yunusa. He's an Omo Ale; the newly coined word by anti-Peter Obi Yorubas for any Yoruba who is vocal about their disdain for Tinubu's potential emergence and APC-misrule, and how Peter Obi represents the opposite of all of that (take special note of 'who is vocal'). To be honest, he's more vocal and determined about Peter Obi's ascension than I am on the streets. His PU is at a market where his aged mother is one of the recognized market leaders. He also has some of his family elders having stakes in the market too. In his opinion, his mother has been brainwashed to be pro-APC because they (himself inclusive) were threatened that their market will be shut down if they fail to deliver for APC. And they believed it because another market at Agboju was 'supposedly' shut down when they failed to comply with APC-directives over campaigns and the likes and they now share market space with them. Fast forward to Feb 25; he spent the night before at their market store so he doesn't have to start travelling down there in the morning to vote. As usual, there was a family meeting where they were all asked to vote for APC (for a number of reasons including the fact that they may lose the market). But he went on to vote for LP for Presidential and APC for the other 2 slots. As they reconvened after voting, he was vocal about how he voted and the family members descended on him with verbal assaults, including 'Omo ale'. He was incensed that incident and had to leave the scene ASAP because these are elderly people he didn't want to insult. He decided not to go for the Guber polls despite pressure from the family through his mother as they sought to make their numbers count. Despite all promises of entreaties, he turned it down, pegging it on their behaviour last time when he came to exercise his civic rights. So only his mother went to vote. And this is where it gets interesting. We linked up on Sunday after the elections and he told me how and why he didn't go after I berated him for not exercising his civic right, especially as myself and others who were not Yorubas were prevented from voting by thugs. Luckily, his mother was there to recount how the voting experience was and that in itself tells a tale of scapegoating. According to her, all other tribes bar known Yorubas in the locality were prevented from voting (as it was in many PUs across Lagos). The puzzling thing was when the ballot papers were counted, APC tied with LP for the Guber poll in that PU. There was a lot of noise and threats over who is betraying who but in the end, they had to submit it like that rather than annul all their efforts. Which brings us to the false tribal narrative been spread around that Igbos (other non-Yoruba tribes inclusive) wants to take over Lagos. Such an election was a litmus test which proved that Yorubas as much as every other tribe were implicit in how the results turned out. This has always been my belief especially as I know a good number of Omo Ales (woke Yorubas in English) who are OBIdients. I'd advise you who feel pressured by that false narrative to rest easy. They also have opponents who are from within and having the majority of the support of other tribes in the same boat is what scared them into thuggery. But for how long will they keep the false narrative flying? Keep calm and watch the tape. It'll be an interesting ride. |
It's now Wapone last I checked |
TheManPregnant:There is a type of disenfranchisement called 'Disenfranchisement due to ethnicity/residence'. |
