Perhaps you are guilty for a good reason.

If the learners see you as being unrealistic especially when you present a life that seems a far cry from where they are coming from, they tend to just listen to you without taking you seriously.

But when you connect to them and they can associate with how better they can become, you have taught real life lessons there.

Of course there are personal information that must not be shared. It doesn't make sharing others for a great cause wrong.
