Ranchhoddas: Are you absolutely certain that there is nothing after death? That's too far bro, I don't know what comes after death, and that doesn't mean I'd have to believe every afterlife story just because many people do. That's argumentum ad populum. |

TheSixthSense: It does not threaten the believers, rather it moves us to share the truth of the Gospel with those who do not yet know Jesus Christ. This is the situation. God wrath abides on all of us because of our sinful nature and Jesus Christ is our only hope for salvation because He has paid the price already. Smh. How does it move you guys? How do you define threat? Have you not heard several Christians say 'if not for one thing' I'd have done this and that? Bros, that one thing is 'fear of hell! |

Ranchhoddas: What about the ones that died and came back with stories unrelated to Christianity? Should they be taken seriously? Those are people that want publicity. How can those stories be verified? People believe because it agrees with their previous beliefs |

... Christianity does NOT plant the fear of death in us. Therefore your claim of losing fear in death because you embraced Atheism is a blatant lie. Christianity threatens its believers with eternal torture in a lake of fire upon death if they default. How on earth does that NOT plant fear in the poor believers? |

Jesuobu: I do not have a pastor. The Holy Spirit is my pastor (i.e. teacher) and the Holy bible is my guide. You spoke with much certainty about the bible and how it was written. Isn't that mere repetition of words you've heard from other religious folks? |

Jesuobu: just the same way your lecturer explains in the class and you take notes, that is exactly how the scriptures were written. God is the lecturer in the context while the bible writers are the students. They hear God explain the scriptures and they interpret what they heared and write down in their own understanding. The bible doesn't contradict itself but those without wisdom try all they can to find mistakes from the bible but they never find any. How do you know? Is that what your pastor told you? |

4everGod: You seem not to understand what the OP is saying. Let me give you my own personal life as a case in point.
i minister in churches by invitation and have experienced the gifts of word of knowledge and prophecy a lot.
knowing details about people i have never met and experiences they have had and will have. Declaring future events regarding them and having them happen exactly as declared.
personally i knew before hand when my wife would get pregnant and the gender of the unborn baby right from conception and also for over 30 other ladies i have been opportuned to pray with. I have even had knowledge of abortions carried out by ladies i never met before and they confirmed it even up to one carried out just the day before our encounter.
So many to mention. These are not issues bordering on names or addresses but on real life's issues and occurrences. Its not done via equipments but via dependence on the Holy Spirit of God.
Its not everything you think you have an explanation for. Iam using my very self as this example. Point of correction!! I don't think I have an explanation to everything. I don't claim to. Most things, I have no clue how they happen, but I am skeptical and keep an open mind to possibilities. I don't ascribe everything to God or the supernatural when they're unexplained just because someone says its so. |

Christianity Etc › Re: The Evil Born Again Christians Do by DeSepiero(m): 8:08pm On Sep 14, 2016 |
lawani: THE EVIL BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS DO
Born agains have certain characteristic behavioral traits or patterns peculiar to them. They are afflicted by an over bloated sense of entitlement for instance. They are saved by grace, they pray for miracles, they expect God to forgive them their sins, past and future. They believe Jesus died for their sins. They are never really intelligent. Religious people are not intelligent. If you take the Bible, the Quran or any book at all as incontrovertible truth then you are not intelligent. Christians with their peculiar sense of entitlement are in a department of their own. Let me use my biological mother, Pastor Mrs Idowu Lawanson as an example. I had earlier said the love of money is why some people go into evil, that is, do 'ika' against others, but ego too is a causal effect. Take for instance my biological mother who must have gone to certain extents in private to ruin my life using evil powers just because I stood against the nonsense she was constantly spewing about her mother in law being a witch, so she must have done something evil against me which led to her threatening me in 2004 that I will see what will happen to me, that I was doing business without giving her money. Back then, my working capital was not up to her two months' salaries and I was merely over reaching myself and she was a civil servant, ok to a large extent, using a car and etc. Later my sister, Kike that was in the department of Law that time told me one of our Aunties told her that our Mother said my younger brother Boyede will be the most successful of us all in all respect and we will all serve him. It perplexed me deeply and I could not even muster a response. How could a rational human being be saying such? To say such means she took steps to make it a reality. Diabolical steps, and that would be because I used my common sense to tell her the home truth 'All of you and your sisters can not be calling your mothers in law witches!'. Born agains are often like that, often selfish and evil like that. By the way, you have no proof that your mother has done something to stop your progress or ruin your life. On the other hand, your mother is a religious fanatic. If at all the story is true in the first place. |

4everGod: People predict the weather with the aid of sensitive equipment but here we have someone freely without the aid of equipment declare your life and sensitive issues personally relating to you.
Stop talking Seun...for once stop talking. Here's your problem. You have an already made up mind when it comes to God. How do you know they are not using any sensitive equipment? You think pastors don't do research? And use technology? How do you think they prepare sermons and teachings? Maybe God shows them all the bible quotations in a vision. Don't you think a 'supposed' prophet can go digging for information on a particular person (prey) just to sound convincing for dubious purposes? When you hear of 'fake pastors and prophets' duping people of millions and valuables don't you imagine how it happens. |

thelish: How do u explain the fact that a prophet said a thing that came to pass at the exact time he mentioned? Or he gave u your life history in details? Is there any scientific proof to this since u don't believe in God and Satan? What's the mystery behind that?? Thanks. Someone mentioning my details to me isn't strange because I always submit them when completing forms in organizations. Don't sound funny. It takes your CV or a completed biodata submitted somewhere and a little more investigation to get detailed information about you. |

4everGod: I never asked that anyone verify least of all you and yes you are self absorbed. As only a self absorbed person which in this case, an atheist would say "anything but God" and would even go as far as saying I could be a liar and a manipulator so I could have doctored the screengrabs lol.
Keep up the delusional good work. You honestly never know when to stop. I see clearly you know not the difference between a suggestion and an assertion. You also seem to use the word 'delusional' wrongly. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Awesome Testimony From A Nairalander I Met About Gods Miraculous Intervention! by DeSepiero(m): 11:05pm On Sep 13, 2016 |
4everGod: Let your self absorbtion keep on deluding you. I make a comment on a possibility (fabrication) and you feel insecure and tag me self-absorbed. Why? 4everGod: So I could fabricate a screengrab for 15th of July and also fabricate the conversation and obvious clear difference in her way of typing and mine Again, its possible and easy! You're the one accusing yourself now not me. I only highlighted a possibility. I wouldn't waste my time trying to verify your story. 4everGod: and I have already mentioned this persons testimony while discussing on other threads and even to one who seems to favour Atheistic tendencies named Ranchhoddas and he has even seen some of these screengrabs long before now as he has also chatted with me on whatsapp before as well Makes no difference 4everGod: The fact is that you are free to believe or disbelieve as it changes nothing about the testimony or the testifier. Thank you |
