Jarus: More seriously, I think from the general feelings, majority of my Kwara South (Yoruba) people don't hold my view. They almost all gladly prefer being in the West. So, if referendum was done, you can be sure Kwara South people will want to be part of SW, where our Yoruba kinsmen are. But me, I'm indifferent. This view remains unchanged.Ni kukuru sha, you guys are twisted fuqs! Fulani has not only messed with your DNA, but gone far to mess with your brains! Any reason why we're still deliberating over this matter? The people we are fighting for saybdem go die with Aboki o. |
jahrule: I am from Kwara state and i have been following this thread from page one, i think you people need to correct a notion which thinking all Kwarans are Ilorin. Everything that has been discussed here are purely Ilorin`s problem and not Kwara as a whole. When go outside Ilorin in Kwara state go and call anybody Fulani and get your Head cut off your Neck. There have been some agitation for creation of states in Kwara state just in order for other people to be able to join their kinsmen in south west like Offa agitating for creation of Ibolo state, Igbomina whose population is the highest also agitating for state.Above all, even Ilorin stance in my opinion is mainly for political and religion reasons if eventuality happens They will join Yoruba for sure. If you doubt me, check the population of people in OPC i mean Odua People Congress, The Agberos in Lagos are also mostly of Kwara extraction. This two miscrants groups are dominated by Ibadan and Kwara and mostly Ilorin Kwara. so don`t confuse religion and political sentiment as reality on ground.I noticed that too. Awon ara ilu oke. |
tpia@:Your own Ijebu or my own Ijebu? Excuse me inform you that you are full of tripe! Yes ke! tpia@:. |
tpia@:Your own Ijebu or my own Ijebu? |
Jarus: I'm Yoruba and very proud of it and that can never change. For now, I'm also a northerner, where Kwara is classified, officiallyYou are a Hausa man with Yoruba origin. Nothing wrong with that. Wish you all the best being Arewa. |
Dudu_Negro: .....even if we bring Alfa Jarus to dobale and pledge allegiance to Alaafin?Aboki? Lailai! ![]() |
Stupid assertions pulled out of the sh1thole abound on this thread. |
tpia@:Won tun gbe tutun de, oyinmomo. |
icekid-jten:Trust me, he is one and he knows it. Moreover, who are you referring to? |
Why is this man not my husband, ehn? He always knows how to mu mi wale. ![]() But this time, I have to lovingly disagree with you, otunba. Dudu_Negro: Desola, |
A futile effort in creating a wedge that is non existent in the western region. Yoruba posters, take the bait at your own peril. As for me, I fart all over this balderdash. It is after all rubbish, fit for the tip or latrine. |
SLIDE waxie: u are nothing but a female-musiwa!Is that mad dog a female now? Since when? |
Dudu_Negro: Kwara is over 80% Yoruba. The rest is shared between Borgus in Bussa, Kiawah and then Nupes. If they are so strong numerically, what were they doing when the oligarchs imposed the arewa coat of arms on them? We need to stop being so sentimental about a group that pay us lip service but act the other way. |
OAM4J: The original title of the thread suggests an ethnic discussion rather than making a case for Kwara in the event of the proposed National Conference taking place. Why must we make a case for them and not against them? Are they collectively making a case for Yoruba! Don't dictate the tone of the thread, please. It is not in your capacity to do so. There are always two sides or even three to a debate! Trifling somebody! |
Gbam! hillsate: Hey, focus on the topic. There is no propaganda here. |

greatdonmikel: Ko to be eGoogle is your friend. |
greatdonmikel: I can't imagine myself, David and Theophilus Bamigboye, Bishop Oyedepo, Rev George Adegboye, Rev Sam Adeyemi, Mustapha Akanbi, the Lawals, Adisas, Idiagbons, POA Olorunisola (SAN), Profs Kolawole, Lagbaja, Pasuma, Saidi Balogun, Tony Tetuila, Oga Bello and family, Kunle Afolayan n family, Ray family, Yinka Quadri, Pa James of papa ajasco, Madam Saje.... etc in Arewa zone or republic should Nigeria disintergrates...Didn't Tunde Idiagbon himself claim to be Fulani? |
SLIDE waxie: Obi of onitcha ko, jaja of opobo ni?Lol ![]() |
0monnakoda: I think they'd make a good coupleSince you both relish sniffing each other's backside, I think you would do well to make the obvious attraction official. After all gay marriage has been legalised in some parts of the world. |
lertee: I see, let's assume there is yoruba or oodua republic, who then rules or which state becomes the headquater?Tell me, was Lagos made capital of Nigeria because it had the largest population of Nigerians at the time? YOur arguments are stale. |
Dudu_Negro: Alhaji and Desola, hello to you both........long time no see.Agba Akin! Nairaland Iroko. I full ground for you o. ![]() |
Katsumoto: You should stop calling them a minority in the West. You don't need a census to know that there is no group with a majority in the West, so all groups individually are minorities. Don't create a schism where none exists.valid point! There is no one Yoruba group that can claim majority. We are all minorities and collectively, we become a majority, we become Yoruba, Omo Oodua. |
shymexx: I'll like to put this out there.Have you ever met an Itsekiri that claimed to be Yoruba before? I think you would more than likely find one that traces his ancestry to Benin than Ijebu. Moreover, how do you plan on drawing that map? Abeg, let sleeping dogs lie. At least some Kwarans claim Yoruba ancestry but Itsekiris? Very far fetched. |
Olugbenger: It still baffles me why jarus had to view this thread and leave without making a post.Jarus recognises his Yoruba roots and has mentioned in the past that he believes strongly that he is Yoruba (if memory serves me right). However, he is very proud of his Northern connection too and places the likes of Sanusi and Sarakis on a pedestal so I suppose that should tell you of his inclination. Olawalebabs, another Kwaran, actually opened a thread to congratulate the late Olusola Saraki on his birthday and sang his praises to high heavens. That to me is another evidence of Yoruba Kwarans love for the Fulanis. |
papparatzzi2013: @ Katz...but why is it up to you or me to make that decision for them? Except you are a Kwaran yourself or a stakeholder, I see no reason why their destiny should cause you to worry. Will having Kwara in Yorubaland be of any advantage? In my opinion, it will be a burden. They are too fanatical about religion and would always carry a torch for the Fulanis. They could be saboteurs for the Yorubas. Let's drop the sentiments and face reality. If they do however decide to belong to Yorubaland, they cannot be stopped because it is their ancestral right but fighting to have them join us is a suicide mission in my opinion. They would make us sleep with one eye open. |
papparatzzi2013: Desola you are mixing things up. Don't equate ilorin people with kwarans. Not all kwarans are gullible to the sarakis. The offa and omu Aran axis are not.Well, their voice is not loud enough and is currently being drowned by the almajiri Kwarans. |
Afam, if you can call me ignorant and make that statement stand, then you have no moral ground in removing my comment in which I said to you that I do not indulge stup1d people, which to me, you are (no offence.). |
isale_gan2:My dear, the question you should ask yourself is: Do majority of Kwarans see the Saraki family as corrupt? In so far as Kwarans hail the Saraki family who have imposed itself the defacto ruler of the Kwarans, Kwarans would continue to align with the north. If you are bent on the course of not ceding kwara to the north, then you need to start a reorientation programe in Kwara to relieve them of the Saraki brainwash. They need to be unshackled from the Saraki slavery chains before they can think of charting their own destiny. |
