felifeli: UP BIAFRA! UP BIAFRA!Ase! The beauty of it would be to see others joining in and shouting "let biafra go" it would take the okoros who are really speaking from the corners of their mouths and let them know that we see them as a burden and the earlier they vacate our lands, the better. I really wish to see OPC giving them a hand and helping them to pack their loads. Let's do the reverse of what they think we'll do. |
Akanbi_edu: This is not about party. I merely stated what happened during OGD's time. Ogun state traditionally used to be known as consisting Yewa, Egba and Ijebu. OGD split it into Yewa, Egba, Ijebu and Remo. He created a big division between remo and ijebu. You can ask around in Ogun state. He only formalised what has always been. Remo and Ijebu, though speak the same language with a slight variance in dialect have always maintained their own sovereignty hence having their own oba - Akarigbo of Remoland. |
ilugunboy: But where are the Iboz elders in all this? All these so call Ibo youths are so fired up now with this Chinua asehebe trash of a book...They are busy picking up naira notes from jonaforker's a-ss |
ndu_chucks: Your sisters ate me raw, when I told them about the marginalization by OGD, but they shamefully could not criticize you when you stated the same. awon olote.won te were meba fun iwo omo mola yi ni? ![]() Akanbi edu is not speaking as a Yoruba but as a PDP hater. He sees all things through ACN's goggles. |
tonychristopher: why should the ijebus be given a state, how many are they anyway and they are cunny and foxy, they should be under the yorubas, i know they are not yaribas but the sgould manage yorubas and no state for themNaming a street or lane in okoroland after the GREAT AWO would have been a smear on his name. He is too important and too worthy to have his name attached to anything ibo. Thank you for respecting our daddy. We all know that anything ibo is substandard. |
Chyz*:Hahaha...me? Ridiculing the ijebus? I think that would be tantamount to self loathing. Prove that I have ridiculed the ijebus anywhere on Nairaland. Prove it! Infact, quote me! |
noblezone: hahahahahaha. It is your human right to dream o. Infact, dream BIG!!! |
Mr. Globe:You would know about that, wouldn't you? Seeing as you have been posting lies all over Nairaland of late. |
staaari: Welcome Ijebu State.ijebu ode ko, ijebu ososa ni |
noblezone: The truth is this, whether Gowon goes to defend himself at ICC or not, the "threat" to take him there is making the impact it should make.HAHAAHAHAHAHA...excuse me laugh, please ![]() You just can't make this shi.t up! This is classic!!! ![]() |
This is the problem with the ibos, they run their mouth whilst others just get on with it. They have concluded plans to? So when will they actually put their case forward? On what specific grounds are they asking Gowon to the ICCJ? Rather than getting all emotional and demanding an apology that would never come, it would do them a world of good to prepare a strong case and collate good evidences and actually do it instead of touting that they have concluded plans. Stupid people are jubilating over mere plans and not an affirmative action? Omo men, you guys are just uniquely stupid - collectively! And these are the youths of their nation o. You lot better sit at home rather than going to the world stage and disgrace yourselves. ![]() |
achi4u: I think he meant offline unity which cannot be possible because to every Igbo/Yoruba person something is embeded in our memory which is hatred, enviousness, jelousy et c tra.Hatred is not embedded in the Yoruba man against the ibos. Infact, we didn't really pay attention to your existence until you lot started attacking and gloating. A case study is this site itself. Yorubas always turned deaf ears to your bravado and lies until you constantly brought Awolowo into the frame. You nagged and nagged us and we are now paying you due attention. The average Yoruba man has no time for all the rubbish you lot spew out but there is only so much a sane person can take and that is the reaction you all are now getting from us. |
PROUD-IGBO:It would be interesting to see how the ibo nation would be humiliated in the second round. Not only have you been physically humiliated but now, salt would be added to your injuries via verbal humiliation. |
Mr. Globe:You? Of all animals, you? You are calling me out on my comprehension skills when you are the model for the lack of reading and comprehension skills as displayed on this thread and several others in which i've called you out today alone? Are you a clown? |
ba7man: OMG!!!...The American Government drafts the bottom 10percent of its Youths, citizens and immigrants to go risk their lives and nuture their army and some people are actually proud of being included?? What a shame. That should be the bone of contention here but some decided to tribalise the issue and that makes it difficult to discuss objectively and topically. |
aribisala0: Just like Nigerians have of Igbos. Is it Contempt or jealousy? Is ist disdain or fear? I will tell you something ; Ijebus did not circumcise their women unlike many other O'dua groups. Apart from throwing into doubt theories of common origin it would naturally raise suspicion among groups who did. I believe male circumcision would have similar effects on attitudes but that is an anthropologial issue anyway. More traditionally the ijebus had a reputation for greater knowledge of Ifa and other traditional/occult practice and this has a fear inducing effect. But the so-called "Yoruba" should more accurately refer to OYO . during the civil wars Ijebu formed alliances with other groups to fight Oyo so I must say your remarks are superficial and ill-informed.All subgroups prefer their own to others and are suspicious of every one else particularly those with whom they have fought in the past but the Yorubas have always been open to outsiders and Ijebu are one of the largest groups in Ibadan.wait a dam.n second! Are you supporting what the nincompoop said? |
excuse me laugh, please! ![]() The seriousness of this is highlighted in the newspaper it was reported in. Muahahah...okoros no dey carry last o... |
afam4eva: I know Ijebu has produced one of the brightest if not the brightest Yorubas. But one cannot discount a certain suspicion that other Yorubas have of them.A bloo.dy liar, that's what you are and all you'll ever amount to! |
free_soul: because they are the only two relevant groups in nigeria when it comes to real military capabilitiesyet the US is only after dentists and surgeons. Eileen Lainez, a Pentagon spokeswoman, said the program was intended to fill “some of our most critical readiness needs.” This time around, the Army is looking for dentists and surgeons, and for psychology professionals to help with the severe emotional strains soldiers have undergone in the wars in Afghanistan and IraqYou lot are so stupid! Haven't the US done this for the Yorubas in the past? It could be argued that the US army now have sufficient Yoruba recruits and now extending their vacancies to other ethnicities in west Africa. Interestingly, it also shows that Yorubas were the first pick and you lot came later giving that they were called upon in 2009. see this: Although the Army has been meeting or exceeding its recruiting goals, defense officials say there is a shortage of soldiers with medical, foreign language and cultural abilities needed in the war on terror and peacekeeping efforts around the world. "What we're looking for are critical, vital skills," said Naomi Verdugo, assistant deputy for recruiting in the office of the assistant secretary of the Army.https://www.nairaland.com/269646/yoruba-speaking-students-living-america Awon oponu! |
mufasa: What about Private Motorbikes? Where they banned too?good question! |
Mr. Globe:really? A fiction as reported by your own newspaper? http://sunnewsonline.com/new/national/i-love-having-sex-with-children-paedophile/ |
virtuoso01: No source?http://sunnewsonline.com/new/national/i-love-having-sex-with-children-paedophile/ |
Mr. Globe:Try not to get emotional if you can. I know that, that is the ibo comfort zone when they are confronted with their lies. Playing the victim card here would not wash. In a case where a child has been molested, you are choosing to focus on where the perpetrator of this crime hails from rather than reach out to the victim in this case and condemning the evil that has been done. You mention the prevalence of this particular crime in the southwest and I ask you here, right now, provide me with legitimate statistic to back up your claim, right now. You can't, can you? Why? Because you know that you have taken it upon yourself to dig out unpalatable stories of such from the west because of your unhealthy penchant for any denigrating story about the Yorubas. Your people made it a prevalence and only on this site! No where else in the country has it been reported that molestation is higher in the Yoruba enclave. On this thread alone, I have rebuffed your lies by providing evidence of reports from your part of the country but rather than collectively rebuking these acts, you have chosen to focus on the said one from the Southwest. Now tell me who the evil one is. Oh, sorry, I forgot, it is not in your non existent ability to decipher that, is it? Evil is the one who rather than castigate the wrong doing of a molester, chooses to focus on where he is from. Not only are you from hell, you are hell itself and may hell never depart from you. |
Mr. Globe:st.upid is your first name! Prove that it isn't true! |
Mr. Globe:Your are irredeemably wicked! Oh, it's okay for an ibo man to molest a child as long as he's not 66 years old? A demon is a demon, no matter how old he is or which part of the world he's from! You know that you didn't open this thread to condemn the evil the animal did but to highlight his ethnicity and t attribute wrong doing to the "south westerners!" What I am doing is merely paying you back in kind and letting you know that for every one evil you will find against a Yoruba man, I would find two for your kinsmen! If truly, your concern was genuinely for the child, you would not have sensationalised the heading of your post by highlighting where the evil perpetrator is from as it wasn't even the manner in which it was written by the writer. You added your 'jara' to it and i'm just merely helping you along. |
From PETRUS OBI, ENUGU A 33-year-old man, Nkemakonam Nwoke is in trouble because he molested female minors . Nwoke who lived at 7, Chief Nwatu Street Emene, Enugu is said to have defiled eight female kids of ages ranging between 3 and 6 years at his neighborhood. Nkem’s molestation of the eight minors was unnoticed until one of the girls who could no longer cope reported to her mother that the man was doing ‘bad-bad’ things with them. With further probing , the said parent was able to get the truth from her daughter who confessed that the man was molesting eight of them one after the other. Consequently, parents of the victims contacted Mediating for the Less Privileged and Women Development and the man was arrested. Narrating the story to our reporter in Enugu, Dr. (Mrs.) Betty Agujiobi who runs the NGO recalled how she got involved in the matter. Said she: “I received a distress call from Emene, so I rushed there and it was a case of a 33 year-old man defiling minors in his area. One of the children was no longer comfortable with his lewd tendencies and she had to report to her mother and that was how the community knew. The man had been defiling the children for over one year .” “When I got there I had to interview the man and he admitted doing it . Asked why he molested the children he said he didn’t know, that he takes delight in having sexual relationship with children. He said he’s shy and can’t talk to mature girls. “I probed further to find out if probably he used his fingers or his manhood and he told me he didn’t use his fingers but his manhood. The oldest amongst his victims appeared to be very shy to say what the young man had been doing with them. Others told me what happened and they spoke in Igbo saying Nkem na eme anyi ihe aruruala (Nkem does bad-bad things to us). I asked further to find out the type of bad things he was doing to them and they explained what he had been doing with them and I had no option than to contact the police. The police came and arrested the man and he also told them the truth. He said he would not deny it and that probably God wanted to expose him .” Agujiobi said further “But the man called me and said there was one thing he wanted to find out. He said he wanted to know how long he would spend in prison if he’s convicted . I told him it would be about 7 to 14 years and he said if the jail term is multiplied by the number of children it will be too severe that he would prefer if it would run concurrently. I said okay, that we would see what we can do but that he has to maintain his story.” The risk of HIV/AIDS Agujiobi said further “After they were tested for HIV/AIDS and the results were negative I asked their parents to take them for tests for other sexually transmitted infections and they went. They all tested positive and were placed on drugs. Before then, one of the parents told me that her three-year-old girl was experiencing vaginal discharge which was abnormal and that she never knew why until this thing came to light.” “All eight children live in a cluster settlement in the same vicinity at a low income settlement at Emene where anyone who owned a television is seen as a lord. This young man entices these children with his television which he tunes to the cartoon network. Parents didn’t know why these children ran to him anytime he was around .” “Whenever he wanted to molest them he would send some to go and buy biscuits and probably tell them the place to go which was normally a distance from his home. They complied and he molested them one after the other . He told me that he would spray his towel and lay the children on the towel and do whatever he wanted to do with them.” “I wanted to know the background of the young man who looked very healthy and bulky and I was told how he came to live with a woman with his mother. He used to go around with his mother washing plates for the woman who was an hotelier and who would also give them food.” “After a while, when he was of age the hotelier asked the mother to let him stay with her and that was how he came to live with her. The hotelier expressed shock that they lived under the same roof and she never knew something like this was going on. When the man told me “…this is not the first time”, the woman was like, “shut up, are you mad? Why should you have to tell her that this is not your first time; do you want to die?” He said “no I want to stop it; if this is the way God wants me to stop it, I will be happy.” They asked him how he felt now and he said he’s ashamed and that he wished he would just die to avoid the shame. A sense of guilt has overcome him and he never raised his face but was always bowing to hide his face. He said “I am so ashamed; if the parents of these children killed me I won’t blame them because I really offended them.” “Poverty you know is a problem and initially parents of the victims thought my organization’s intervention would be like every other intervention. They never knew we meant business. At a point they delegated two of the parents to meet me and they came to my house and said they were happy with me for my commitment but that they wanted to withdraw from the case. I asked them why and they said the man would settle them and that he has agreed to settle each of them so that they would withdraw the case. The two parents said they would gain nothing from going to court or sending the man to jail and that the best thing was to settle out of court. I told them this is a case of defilement and that this man had said that he didn’t start with your children, but had been doing it with other children. If you withdraw this case who knows who would be the next victim?. I said as far as I am concerned if they collect anything from the man I will sue them for trading with their children. There and then I called a lawyer. I told him I had a case and this is what the parents were trying to do. I asked him to prepare a case against the parents so we could go to court and he said okay that I should come. Nkem shouted and asked if that was how I behaved. I said yes, that I will even go beyond that and he promised to go back to the others assuring that they play along. I asked him if he realized the kind of infection those children must have contracted . It wasn’t as though my NGO was doing it alone. I contacted the vice president of FIDA Enugu State, and also Child Protection Network and got all of them involved. I called the Director, Citizens Rights and told her about the case and she offered some advice.” Agujiobi revealed that three of the victims are from the same parents. The suspect who was arraigned at an Enugu East Chief Magistrate Court was remanded in prison custody and the file transferred to the Director of Public Prosecution. Agujiobi told our reporter that her NGO is still expecting the case to come up. “We have not been invited but I still go to see the children and I interact with their parents, she added. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/national/i-love-having-sex-with-children-paedophile/ |

IGBO MAN, 29 in Court Over Ra.pe of Eight Year Old Girl Umuahia — A 29 year-old man, Kelechi Ebere, was yesterday arraigned before an Umuahia Magistrate Court for allegedly raping an eight year primary three pupil. The suspect, who is in-charge of public toilets owned by the Foodstuff Retailers and Traders Union, Umuahia, (FRATU), pleaded not guilty to the offence when the charge was read to him. The magistrate, Mrs. Eunice Ezebuiro, said the court decided to hold the session in its chambers to protect the identity of the rape victim. However, the matter was later adjourned to mid-September 2012, after a plea was taken from the accused. The magistrate also ordered that the accused person be remanded in police custody. Daily Trust gathered that the suspect committed the offence on August 28, 2012, when the victim entered his room to watch a movie. Speaking to Daily Trust, the victim's mother, Mrs. Emeribe, who is a widow, said she had warned her children against entering the rooms of their neighbours. "I want the man to explain why he violated my little daughter. I don't even know if he did it for ritual purposes, because one wonders the attraction in an 8 year-old girl," she said. http://allafrica.com/stories/201209131115.html |
A community newspaper in the UK that cannot be named? Who do these people think they are fooling, exactly? If the case is due to be heard in court then surely, you must have information on which court the case would or is listed in. utter rubbish! |
Chyz*:You are so st.upid! Anally stu.pid!!! Which Yoruba ridicules the Ijebus? The same ijebu that produced Awolowo, Soyinka, Solarin, Adenuga et al? You this blo.ody okoros are just plain evil and would stop at nothing to create division but all you attempts since the inception of Nigeria has been futile and would continue to be so! Stupid arsewipes trying to rewrite other people's history when they clearly have none! The issue of state creation of Kogi and Kwara is clearly justified as these were states that were arbitrarily divided in the bid to separate the Yoruba nation and expand the Hausa Fulani's geographical influence and of course get more money from the centre. The real request should not necessarily be to create a new state but to perhaps bring those two states together to form just one state thereby keeping the majority Yoruba people together! O |
