Dropped this post last Sunday. Jump in and enjoy!!! ********************************************************************************* My flat mate Kenny accompanied me to my church for the very first time today, and guess what his reasons were. He is going to my church to find a girlfriend. His premise was that decent girls are hard to find, and he knows my church ‘boasts’ of decent babes and so, he decided to follow me to church. I find his premise confusing anyway, who says the church is where you find the most decent girls or it is even ‘my church’ that his type of babes are? Anyway, this is not a gist for the now. Maybe later! Right! No soon had we entered church than he saw this dark, pretty babe sitting right across us. Immediately he started fidgeting and his face was filled with anxiety. He couldn’t even concentrate on the sermon, and he did not allow me either. He was beginning to look in the babe’s direction and was fidgeting ‘uppandan’. Eventually, we left church without my dear Kenny meeting the babe and starting a ‘convo’ with her. Jokingly I asked him why he failed to meet up with the babe. The only reason he could muster was that he did not know how to approach her in church. Kenny, known for his prowess when it comes to meeting ladies and eventually wooing them had difficulty in the ‘how’ to approach the prospective babe ‘in church’. I was shocked. As I pondered on this I realized it will be important to make a blog post, as I am sure if Kenny could have this issue. There are a lot of guys out there who face almost same predicament as well. 1. Approaching at the right time. A lot of us are actually eager to meet up that we don’t meet up eventually. One of the reasons Kenny had was that he was too busy waiting for the right time that even the right time flew him by. What he failed to note was that, there is usually this time before or after the sermon to seek the babe out. In my church, and in most other churches too. There is usually an interlude before and after sermon. Or even after offering time to approach a lady and strike a connection quickly. I guess Kenny was too engrossed with himself to notice the time fly by. Hmmn! Shocker! 2. Ponder on how you intend to start up the convo Another reason may be because he never knew what to say to the babe, being the fact that he meets most babes at events and social gathering. My point is what is really the difference between meeting a babe at a party and meeting a babe in church? Okay, the environment plays a huge role, yea? Fantastic, He could just start from talking about the sermon, the service or one particular gesture he noticed the girl make when listening to the sermon. You could even mention the fact that you are a first time visitor and there is something about the service that caught your attention. Just about anything to catch her fancy would do some good. Kenny probably wants to use party style to hook church girl!! Rubbish!!! 3. Ensure that eye contact is made As soon as you have found the right time and thought about how you intend to strike a conversation. Make sure that she knows you are staring at her by making eye contact and then you could then walk up to her albeit in a casual manner. Make her aware that you are coming in her direction and politely introduce yourself. Please note that some girls can be mean though, but as a sharp guy, an impression is key and you need to realize that when you are thinking of what to say to ignite the friendly part of her. 4. Leave with an indication that you intend to know her more. Ladies always love guys who leaves with an impression. You have got her attention, but chill! It does not end there. Just build the conversation, tickle her fancy. The best way to this do this is to make her laugh. You have the chance and opportunity to build the connection you crave when you are very humorous. This paves way for a greater bond and displays your personalty, and that you are a very cool person to hang with. You can then end up the convo finally with a ‘See you in Church Next Sunday’. That settles it. Yea? Guess what!!? I did this back then and it worked for me. So I explained to Kenny what he should have done, and as that meek guy who is interested in my church girl, he nodded in understanding. You bet he is following me next week, as I could see the excitement lit up in his face. Hehe. Have you tired any of this before? Did it work for you? Or you have added opinions we all can relate to. You can drop in the comments section below. Help my friend get his dream church girl. Yours In Love Deedee Jump in and change your life in style... www.deedeesblog.com |

My Life is a story book of God’s manifestation. I’m a product of my worship. It’s not by singing It’s by Grace – Frank Edwards. As usual after a very hectic week, I was lounging online since I couldn’t bring myself to really drop anything on the blog when i came across this video on Youtube. Frank Edwards sharing the story of his life and how he made it to this extent. You think it’s the end for you because you have tried and tried? Listen all you need is to pray for God’s Grace! That is all in this world riled with lots of erratic happenings. The Question is, how many of us can sow the seed he sowed? You get your first ever salary and you give it all out? Not even ‘Me’. But now I have learned from this. This is truly inspiring and it is for everyone out there. If Deedee can relate to this and tap from the Unbelievable grace God has bestowed on him, Who are we not to proclaim same. BIKO I no wan type too much. WATCH and BE INSPIRED!! http://deedeesblog.com/2016/07/16/want-inspired-frank-edwards-story-life-just/

GEJmustGO:That's my issue with bloggers. Instead of taking corrections. We attack each other. Constructive criticisms are good for progress. Meanwhile I'd rather employ an SEO expert and just focus on writing and writing. All these things to learn though, deviates me from doing what I love to do. www.deedeesblog.com |

The Naijasinglegirl blog is that blog I always love going to, to laugh, have fun and even meet some very single Naija girls. I was there yesterday to scan as usual when I stumbled on the post titled ‘The hustle to quit being single’ In that post, the writer, Nkiruka highlighted her failures at hooking up the right man despite the many things she had tried to get noticed. From being up her friends’ BBM Display picture, to attending events and parties. The right outfit, paying extra attention to her make up, she has even decided to move on to jogging in her neighbourhood, so as to nick the ‘bobo’ on time. Well, some of you may decide to call it desperation, some may have a lot of advise up their sleeves for Nkeiruka. But in all sincerity, this has been the case in recent times. I have observed that the rate of single girls in 2016 is on a high. In fact a friend postulated a theory that for every eligible bachelor out there, there are about 5-6 girls for his taking. I would want to to agree with his theory, single ladies abound out there. You are a girlfriend material, ( I don’t know if you are wifey because I have not met you) but of course you are very beautiful, love to mingle, very relatable, and dateable. Your friends are very much aware of your beauty. When your picture stays on their dispaly picture on their social media handles, their girlfriends swoon with envy at your beauty and class. I can categorically state that being single is cool! because I am and I’m enjoying it. But there is always a feeling I get which says that ‘Deedee’ you are eligible, you are dateable, stop hiding behind the laptop and blogging away. You need to get a life. I am sure the same applies to the single girls too. It is very possible you all get the feeling in your head that you are awesome, yet guys do not see that. They do not approach you. After the beautiful dresses, special attention to your make ups, attending singles events, going to public areas, trying to get noticed and all. Well, the deal is, it will be hard to catch a ‘man’ and here’s why: 1. You are ‘still’ waiting on someone worthy of you You are amazing, no doubt. Pretty girl, nice car, with enough in the account to buy another, beautiful apartment in Lekki. Why want a guy who wouldn’t be able to match all these. In fact you believe that if you don’t meet that guy who equal these qualities. You will still wait. I’m happy for you. You will meet him, keep looking. 2. Your confidence is overawing My dear, Guys are usually intimidated by a confident babe. You sure know what you want, your kind of man. This build a level of confidence in you. Right? Trust me, even the over confident guys will think twice when they see that your level of confidence cower theirs. Not that you ain’t getting noticed, but most smart guys when they see you ask themselves these questions, Would I have to constantly feed her ego? Being confident apparently, won’t it get into her head? Is she really cool despite being very confident? Being confident, yet down-to-earth, is a relationship worthy combination. Believe me, you are pretty and over confident. May be that is what is even chasing the guys away. 3. Your criteria is your mentality I have gone to a lot of dating sites where the criteria from girls can be insanely funny. He must be tall, dark, earn a salary of #250k and above, drive an Honda car, live on the island, God fearing, romantic, down to earth, loves church. You know you are so much available for a date, yet you give loads of criteria for your kind of man. I have an accountant girlfriend who is in her 30’s and single, yet she is waiting for a tall, dark and handsome dude. She keeps complaining that she hasn’t seen a guy that meets those criteria. Biko, how do I help such a person when your criteria na only God fit give you. Who ‘criteria epp’? 4. You never put down your smartphone Whether or not a guy is chatting you up, you are always glued to your phone. This can be so irritating as most girls are guilty and can relate to this. Honestly there is nothing as worse as a girl that is obviously glued to her phone. You are at an event – Weddings, get together and all and you know you are single, yet you keep pressing your phone ‘pakam pakam‘, glued like a 100 naira paper glue. Even when a guy approaches you, you are still pinging, texting, Instagramming. It is easy for him to deduce your lack of interest and it will be difficult for him to want to invest his time in talking to you. Time is Money Biko. If he cannot count on you to listen and talk without checking your phone every minute. Off he goes! 5. You can gossip for Africa Instead of you focusing more on your environment when you are at a party with your friends, all you do is gossip. Talking behind people’s back, making jest of guests, ‘oh, see her heels, she couldn’t even do a 16’ on that floral gown. ‘Nonsense, that vintage does not make any sense’ ‘See that guy’s fake Zara shoes’ Is that Christian Louboutin or Brogues’ Girls are so guilty of this, some of you are even worse than ‘Gossip Girl‘. You never can tell when a guy is interested in you and wants to hit it off. You coming off as a Gossip babe may be a complete turn off for him. he may find you spiteful and shallow – which are not traits of a good girlfriend. Constant gossiping scare some guys away because they may feel you would love drama, and then imagine that you would be a hard nut to deal with in a relationship. A gossip girl is a fighter! Don’t you think? 6. You failed to focus on yourself You want a guy so desperately, you haven’t really dug into yourself to understand what you want and what your ideals are. See, most of the guys are now smart, dating girls go beyond just the outward appearance. Some of us believe that when you put on beautiful outfits, plenty make ups ( Some make ups can be so deceptive and completely turn us off, en?) you will hook the right guy. Hey Dear, we are smart already, What is the point of painting the outer part of the drum when the inner part is empty and, filled with nothing, eh? You need to work on yourself first, what plans do you have, what direction are you headed. Why offer just the outer part of you when you know you could be a better package; in and out? ————————————————————————————————————————————— There is an interesting twist to this post already and I’m sure the guys can relate. A girl with all the six pointers I mentioned above and even more that I did not mention would even seem to me like she is hooked already? LMAO! I know right? I try to grow with content and be better everyday. Check me blog out at www.deedeesblog.com

The point is, in life, even if we die alongside a lot of people, you will still be buried alone. Talk less of when you even die alone. You will die alone! I understood the concept of death at a very young age, losing my roomie in 2008, while I was in the second year in the University. My Uncle was also snatched by the cold hands of death in 2010, when there was religious fracas in Jos, Plateau State. A brother’s friend died while he was still at a polytechnic. A bubbly friend that was very helpful and was close to all of us. These people were so full of life and had huge dreams and aspirations. I felt terrible, the event and what happened thereafter got me thinking beyond the normal. Thinking hard each passing day. You hear someone speak to you over the phone about an hour earlier and then the next second, you get the information that they are dead. Sighs, What a life! The moment i received the phone call from my late room mate’s dad informing me of his death, he appeared to me in my room in school and waved at me. I was terrified and afraid. I later had a dream of my roomie years later, where we were together in a room, and he was trying to put on his Arsenal Jersey, while I was finding it difficult to put on mine (I was a Chelsea fan) and we were supposed to see the derby match together. Still battling with my Jersey, there was a force stopping me from putting it on. He suddenly rushed out of the room and screamed from outside how suddenly cold he felt and that outside was cold. I should stay in and not come out. I woke up with a start, and since then I never felt sad about losing anyone. The dream was the eye opener to the fact that when we all die, we die alone. I just got out of a relationship with a babe I loved with everything. The relationship was exactly a year when we broke up. Don’t ask me whose fault it was – as I put in a lot of shift to make it work, I pushed myself. To be candid, I still feel bad about the whole ‘ish’ as I still miss the babe so much ( have you read, I think I still miss my ex?). I wanted our togetherness to be out of this world, something that I could deem a near perfect relationship ( ask the babe, she sure knew I tried). No hassles, no worries, no pretense. You just get to be who you are, have a lot of fun, fight like babies and make up, Have fun love, mind blowing love making, explore every part of you. You believe in your abilities, you are never shy of trusting, Your interests drive you both, there is mutual respect, support and love. Imagine your boo tells you.. ‘Deedee, you got this. I believe in you’ Make Deedeesblog great! (You get my drift?) It’s amazing to have dreams and hope. But then the human part of being human waltz in. The vulnerability and naïve part of us comes in. No matter how we try to be perfect, it is usually a long shot and then we enter into the rigmarole of having issues and subsequent heartbreaks and subsequent break ups. Hmmmn!! So I said to myself, I am tired of loving, tired of giving my all and it isn’t working out. Tired of the dissatisfaction, heartbreaks, disappointments. If I die alone, I will die alone. Life is just too short to wallow in abject penury and continual sucking. Whatever is your perspective to life and death,You are sure to know that death happens like ‘poom’ and comes in- snatching all within its part. Like the Urban dater said in her ‘What If I die alone’ post ‘Life is too short to be spent on half measures, half loves and never wills’ . Yes true. You could be alone right now and really believe that being alone is the right thing for you ‘forever’. Yea, being alone is a good thing. However I am sure our brains knows the truth. We ain’t wired to be alone. We ain’t created that way! No? I am not ready to date yet! Not ready to feel the emotional ‘gra gra’ again. My brain tells me I will love again. The sound of ‘he is such a cool guy, he is so witty and funny. He is incredulously romantic. He brings the best in me’ still lives in my head, and I would want to enjoy that feeling again. However, I love the fact that I am alone right now. What lesson have I learnt from the last relationship? I had a picture in my brain already, wanting the relationship to happen that way. I wanted the relationship to work out so well because I felt like I wouldn’t want to die alone. The feeling of dieing in the loving arms of your woman is enough to ensure you die surrounded by love. I wanted to make sure it worked, that it was my dream relationship, and that I was going to put her first – did it work? NO! It failed not because I did not try my best, but because as we grew, we both wanted something more. She was more aligned with what she wanted, I craved my wants. We forgot the fact that we can all want, but our wants will not even culminate into needs, and then we drifted apart. I am going to die alone, regardless of all the heartbreaks in this world. But God has created an extreme feeling that lives with us even in our graves, and that is love. He is love and sent someone to reciprocate the love gesture, even when we were as bad as a pit latrine that has expired. I know you may have different views to this which I would love to hear about. But really, my conviction is that when you die feeling loved, you are not alone after all. You die with love. Or does it all stop there? Love all you can, give it your head and not your heart. Be smart, resourceful, have fun still, go places. DO NOT push yourself too much to focus more on your wants and not the needs that could lead to something satisfying. Even if you die ‘alone’ you die with all the love. Yours In Love Deedee Have you checked our amazing blogposts at www.deedeesblog.com today?

Martinmania:I have activated it sir...even inserted a word that the iphone was lost and that the person who took (stole) it should please call a certain line. Even the Find my phone app was able to track the phone to a location at Beere in Ibadan before it was switched off. Now im confused. Should i go ahead and retrieve my line, because they may not want to change the sim. Retrieving my line means i won't be able to track the phone since there is data on my line, which makes it easy to track. I have made an official statement and reported at a police station in Ibadan already, i just hope i find the phone. It's been a tumultuous week for me...*sobs" |
DRabbi:DRabbi.... I love the 'situation' and 'emotional intelligence' part. Can you please expatiate? Thanks |

The thief was damn sharp and I'm sure he has been in the act for sometime. I kept the iPhone in my bag and placed it beside me in the bus from Oshodi Lagos enroute Ibadan on Sunday around 8pm I passed Ogere, after shagamu and checked my bag for the phone, it was still there. Only for me to check again when I got to Ibadan to find it missing. I was shocked. Obviously the guy saw my charger dangling from the bag and took advantage of the opportunity to steal the phone. I don't even know how he/ she did. I went to my iPad to activate my find my phone app. Just yesterday, I got a buzz stating that as at 12:00pm, yesterday the phone was in Mapo Road in ibadan but has been switched off. I'm confused and going crazy here, I don't even know what to do. Please tech whiz...assist me. Help me recover my stolen iPhone. God bless a concerned heart |

DJHANDSOME:How do you know women don't want this? Bottom line is, if you don't want her, stop leading her on. If you don't want a relationship with her, then stop hitting on her, making her feel like you wanna love... |
