I don't understand your assertion. People get sick everyday and it doesn't make headline because they aren't celebrities. Nothing spectacular or selective about it.
Yes people get sick, but then when a particular area of life or industry is under the spotlight, we pay attention there.

flexyrule:
What's wrong with you people?

So demanding that employers send in tax payments for their employees is now a crime? Yet you envy countries that have an efficient tax system, and are achieving much with the revenues they generate from tax payments..

Since Wike became minister, alot of development has been going on in the FCT. Abandoned roads are being executed, a bit of sanity has been restored.

In less than 1 year, only El-Rufai has matched Wike's performance.

Personally, I don't like him, but that won't stop me from giving him accolades when he deserves it.
Flex, calm down. Wike needs peace, trust me. He needs it.

So he should not worry about collecting taxes in Abuja ba ?!
You are getting it wrong. BO doesn't shout, he gets work done.

Only him fighting with SIM, Atiku, PDP, Rivers people, even at war with himself.

A man doesn't like act that else he self-destructs.

The FG do do more findings themselves. There are Legit Schools that offer legit and hard earned degrees in Benin Republic. You can punish thousands of students and hundreds of schools based on a few bad eggs. It's wrong
Someone needs to come with hard evidence to proof the innocence of those not caught in the act.

Even Nigerian schools are doing same.

I am looking at things based on my discipline.
Role of NAFDAC is limited in regulating drugs and consumables.
Do you know the roles professional bodies like MDCN and PCN play in regulating their profession?
Okay.
Okay, I understand you but then if government provides funding, will they publish the financial statements?

We act anyhow in this part of the world. Maybe, we do a case by case basis.
Politics › Re: FG Excludes 26 Professional Bodies From 2024 Budgetary Allocations by dfrost: 12:15pm On Jan 03, 2024
lokoloko84:
Nigerians are daft. Look at them supporting rubbish.
How can you defund regulatory agencies whose role is to regulate professional bodies to achieve a sane environment within critical sectors of the economy.
Even developed countries have so many regulatory agencies which not only create jobs but also create effective improvement among the sectors being controlled by these professionals bodies.
Imagine saying health professional bodies will not be funded by the state and yet,the government will want to expert control on how the health sector will be run effectively.
Okay!
You seem learned but then you use invectives to pass your message.

I for one support this move. The memo is for professional bodies, not regulatory.

Professional body = Computer Professionals (Registration Council) of Nigeria (CPN)

Regulatory body = NAFDAC

I belong to 4 professional bodies (2 local, 2 international) and honestly the local bodies have not helped me in any way. Innovation = 0.

huh

I worked as a facility manager and I imbibed the ethic of my profession, so I get my plumber to wash every 3 month in all the facility I manage and I also imbibed the culture in my house...

Reason I imbibed the every 3moonth washing in my house is because we use a well water and inserted a submersible pumping machine, so most times it will always carry some little sand into the tank...
Fair enough. Ours is every 2 months.
