That's not true. The reason is that Nigerian university system is too cheap to bequeath students with the skills they need to succeed.
I agree with you on too cheap to bequeath the necessary skills to students. Totally agree 💯

The world is tilting but universities in Nigeria don't understand that.

In UK or us, you are allowed to work and study.

.
Na serious play Nigeria 🇳🇬 universities dey play. Even some law makers in other climes are questioning the benefit of the regular 4 walled education system.

I'm happy NUC is waking up and approving fully fledged online universities like Miva and Co. So happy it's happening in my life time.

I have been an advocate of this immediately I finished school and saw the dangers inherent (morally and otherwise) and the unnecessary waste.

cheesy

Man is saying the truth. The time is finally upon us. No more getting through the 4 walls filled with lizards to learn something that don't and won't improve your lifestyle in the future.

Learn skills. It's a drift and we will get there. Corporatuons are now employing without institutionalised degrees. Get a cert and skill akin to what your passion is, while studying online.

Options plenty. It's either people, organizations, communities, countries shape in or they ship out.

Na wa!
Limit your expenses. What exactly are you guys eating?

I know someone who is catering for eight persons in his house (2 elderly ones among them, and a physically challenged child) and all he spends in a month is 200k for the 8.

Mr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is a strong believer of our principle in Nigeria: where man dey work, na for there him dey shop. The only problem is that he has been caught in the act.

But then, the minister has a good plan for his ministry. The reforms are commendable and the milestone achieved so far will collapse if he is sacked. For this, he needs to stay and finish what he started because he's doing a great job in his ministry.
Separate two things. He's doing a good job, agreed. There are thousands out there that want to do a good job too if ģiven the opportunity but then if found culpable, he needs the stick.

We need to be accountable as a nation. It's as simple as that.

Some local government in Niger State are under the control of bandits for over 2 years, they even have the mind to be collecting taxes from the indigenes and Government is not doing anything about it.
This right here is my major concern. The collection of taxes within a state.

If this is not an act of treason, call me another name. Literally those areas are not governed by the Nigerian government.

Benue land is very fertile. Food basket of the nation. Imagine if we had functional rail to move farm produce in bulk from Benue to Lagos in no time and petroleum products from Lagos to Benue

God will help us
Lagos is not the only state in Nigeria, for starters.

Nothing wrong with road transport but the middleman and legal thieves on the road is our major problem.

Even with the railway, they will continue extorting the vulnerable farmers.

Totally agree with you but the truth is, Richest man in Babylon is a game changer.
All you can ever need for financial wisdom is in that book. I disregarded it for over 15 years and can only say, I regretted my action.

Surely, everything is not about books but the message for our friend is, if he is sacked today, he will survive on N100,000 monthly for months before getting another job.
The bolded is the truth, Nothing aside from it.

Don't mind him. He thinks coup is a 'carry gun and shoot thing'.

It takes a high level of IQ and loyalty to carry out such. The platoon mate might sell you out for a cup of beans before you even say Jack 🤣

Good morning naptu2. Thanks for this update. I was waiting for their response.

The same book, my wife came into my home with it after we married. I did not read it.
Over 15 years later, I read it and came to the conclusion that, it could have changed my life in more wonderful ways if I had read it earlier.
Your suggestion is good but trust me, Nigerians do not read.
Does one even need to read 📚 a book 📖 to know the truth? The Holy Books have everything we need, but like you said, Nigerians don't read.

For me that's financial recklessness to start with. 400k with no savings? Net for that matter ooh? 🙄🥴
Career › Re: 400k Salary, but nothing. by dfrost: 7:06am On Jan 11, 2024
Tealcrestmedia:
There are basic rules that help someone avoid financial pressure. Firstly, everything you do must be in percentages of your salary, the main one being not spending more than 30% of your annual income on rent. Your annual income is 4.8m assuming that is all you earn. Your rent must not exceed 1.2m.

Next, tailor your spending to allow 20% saving monthly which will be your investment funds. The rest will be dependent on your lifestyle choices and the cost of living for where you stay.
.
This right here. Personally I make it an aim not to spend more than10%-15% of annual income on rent.

It is time for the CBN to introduce higher denominations like N50k and N100k. The corrupt political class have now turned the USD to their default means to stealthily move cash around because the naira has no value(N1000 is about 90 cents). Reintroducing higher denominations would allow them return back to the glorious days of Naira Ghana must go method, thus easing up the pressure on the dollar.

As a shareholders does that mean your company should be closed because you are now minister? The best thing is do the contract follow due process, I have a shard of 222 with Polaris bank does that mean that when I become minister the bank should seize operating or reject payment of nysc stipend?
Size of the shares matters, bruv. How we overlook certain things bothers me.

You read clearly where he said he resigned five years ago and you’re still asking this silly question. He even brought the company resulting endorsing his resignation and the certified true copy of his CAC document accepting his removal as director of the company since 2019 to the program. So, what else are you looking for?
Chief, let's drop this. He's a Shareholder. A shareholder is very much aware and in the know.

The directors are also in the know that he is a minister. They should have avoided it and look for private contracts.
