BigBashiru: This thread is 6000 pages long - is it even possible to go through it from page 1?? 1. read the pages 1-10 of the thread, then 2. read the last 5 pages of this thread 3. be patient, follow this thread furthermore, but dont rush into trading(this is the worst time for new or inexperienced traders) and finally 4. simply go to investopedia.com and learn and perfect simple basic investment terms concerning the Nigerian capital market good luck |

And moreover,my hubby told me after our wedding that if I cheat on him,he will put a bullet in my brain and I believe him cos I new he meant it when I looked into his eyes that night and he makes sure that I lack nothing. You are good hearted person. Stay focused pls, remember you are on this thread to solve the problem amicably and not prove anything to anyone on a faceless forum. Pls listen to the advice of the operation head and thread cautiously while they resolve the issue. Don't write the bank headquarters or CBN yet pls, because it's not only his big tummy that will fired, several jobs will be lost in his unit, promotions affected, sanctions here and there etc. In the end, kids will suffer from several angles. There's more to his greed and lack of unprofessional conducts I may not be able to state here, but just playin to the advice of his boss while you get your investment back, learn lessons and move on. |

InaNla: Wonderful, I found someone also using MF. I also have others too.. MFSA makes up 85% of my long term plays. I love their honesty, education and consistency. The only hard part being able to add to winning stocks as they regularly do. Their stock screener is worth a million bucks if you add it to your short term trading. My best ever investment in the last 10years is the annual subscription. Tipranks subscription is next on my checklist |

lafuria1: Good day fellas, October has always been the most volatile month each year, no surprises how last month was for the market. See picture below
BUT November might not be good either given what we all know is coming. The election is not the problem but what comes after, from what ive seen so far, no party is likely going to accept the result easily which won't be good for the market. Investors hate uncertainty
So guys , tomorrow is key if you can't stomach the upcoming uncertainty, better sell and hold or sell and buy the dip.
Good luck everyone good stats. nice observation |

austinkenneth: Any news from NCR Nigeria Plc? I hear something good may be in the offing due to looting and vandalization we just witnessed. I hear they are ATM, POS, retail cash machine manufactures and suppliers and banks are ordering replacements for the numerous burnt ATM across Lagos.
That's in addition to the vandalized check out machines from the big retailers which they also make and supply. NCR was mostly used but in the past, most banks have moved over to GRG as for supply's. Do more finding before you commit funds. |

I am in my forth European Car(2001 0pel Astra). They are great great cars if well mentained, but that does not change the fact that Asian brands give you better cost of running and aultimately higher peace of mind. A typical Naija auto technician is about 15 years behind in diagnosis and hardware, non Asian cars in thier hands is a greater disadvantage, especially with electronic components. Japanese brands are kings here, let's kiss the truth. |

falcon01: I bought a new sim, saved it on a phone with a weird name Didnt register it with true caller but True caller picked up the contact and saved it in their database when I called the phone registered on True caller, it showed the weird name i saved the number with. that means true caller use your contact names to tell another true caller user the name of the person the way you saved it even if that person is not registered on True caller. You are right to an extent. But it doesn't end there. If you use that same new number to call ten friends, who subsequently saved it as ur new contact, true caller algorithm will delete ur weird name, and UPDATE with that which most of ur friends used for saving it. |

Olamak1: I'll advice you to calm down because what you see is a system error from aliexpress site. I've experienced that before: I had added a a pair of shoes to my cart and marked the cost price. The next time I highlighted the shoes to place order, I discovered that the price had gone up 3times the actual price. I was surprised to see such a thing but then decided to wait till the following day to check the price again. By then, the price had reverted to the original price. I thought shoes are contraband item, do you buy shoes from AE? And how do you ship? |

RabbiDoracle: Sheer luck? Hmmm...
Hope you know people smart managers do research to find the directions prices will take? The researches are backtested and fine-tuned to match other asset classes.
So Renaissance Technologies strategy is sheer luck?
Have you heard of Chaos Theory before?
Let me simplify it for you. When protesters move on the road, they usually move in a haphazard form if you are viewing them on the ground. However, if you are viewing with a Drone, you tend to see a pattern of straight lines or huge circle formed my large mass of people.
Price movement can be haphazard at first glance, randomized or chaotic to some. But a careful look at it will show you a tradable pattern which gives some few smart money managers good gains.
Stock investing has evolved. No longer like what we knew in the past. Unfortunately, 95% of 'traders' or market participants never measure into the bolded above. And if that is a fact, kindly note the fact that making money in a bull run(for most traders), is sheer luck as the study stated. And such lucky monies are usually eroded in the long run. 4play is right in my opinion. |

4Play: https://www.theregister.com/2000/01/13/wall_st_chumps_lose_out/
This story is insightful as it highlights that positive market returns in bull markets are just as attributable to randomness as to skills. We often make money in the stock market, like this year, through sheer luck and not skill. Of course the monkey's returns will deteriorate over a longer length of time, same as our returns. So being cautious, less egotistical, and upgrading our skills/knowledge will be beneficial. Deep truth |

Wickedfact: If you are above 15 years of age I'm disappointed that you can vomit this BS. Even a toddler is not supposed to be this stupid. There is Gtbank in Nigeria and there is Gtbank in the Gambia. If the Gambian office runs down, is unable to pay depositors and finally shuts down, does it make sense to you that Gtbank in the Gambia can't run down because you have an account with the one in Nigeria? Your age has nothing to do with wisdom. In fact, in your case, it is inversely proportional. I would continue to hammer sense into your coconut head till it enters. Insult me, na you sabi. But you must learn by force. How can the 'coconut head' learn? Stop wasting your energy then! |

jmoore: We use the latest meter.
We abandoned making use of fridges because it is of no use. Imagine having 3 hours of power supply in the day and 2 hours in the night. I can't get an ice bock from it.
Currently these are what we use electricity for. 1- Electric bulbs (2 watts, 3 watts, 5/6 watts)
2- 3 Television sets. 1 of the Tvs uses adapter, so I suspect it consumes less. Currently, I hardly use that one because subscribing to Startimes to watch it is like wasting my money because of poor power supply.
3- Pressing Iron- We don't use this every time. I can't remember the last time I used it.
4- Charging phones.
5- Ceiling fans- On average, one ceiling fan may be in use. Maximum would be 3.
We are not heavy users. I bought 1,050 Naira worth of token on July and it has not been exhausted. bro, i feel you have raised very vital issues. and every reasonable consumer should be concerned irrespective of the area. but i would like you to take note that your area is excluded by the new tariff, because you get less than 12 hours daily supply for cumulative 15 days/month. the government is completely insensitive to the plights of nigerians, but when you look deep into the power sector, this new price regime is unavoidable. power generation remains very expensive in Nigeria and the discos and gencos are running at loss practically with the rates as it was. i pity people who are on estimated bills , they might weep at the sight of thier next bills. light bills now will cost more that house rents very soon for most people. |
