andromida: You've been talking about his unhappiness but you are not happy either. You believe his unhappiness is souring your marriage but it might equally be your unhappiness that is souring your marriage. It seems to me you are waiting for him to be happy before you can be happy.
You need to let him know how you feel when he talks bad about the pregnancy I think this is a really sore spot for you. Now permit me to say this. Reading comments from people like u is the reason I still visit Nairaland. Your thoughtful and dispassionate advice goes to show your maturity of mind. Thank you for taking the time to address op's issues. Being a fellow woman ( at least ur monika says u are) gives u a better perspective to her plight) Op, please be assured that u are not the reason he is unhappy, that is, if he really is unhappy. I think it is about time you stopped blaming yourself for his unhappiness. Leave him be. Focus on doing your wifely duties without more. Focus on being passionate about life. Focus on ur happiness, at least, u can do something about that. Stop being fixated on your husband and his feelings towards you. Instead, focus on being the best version of yourself. Join a Gym and burn off the excesses. Acquire a new skill. Go do a masters programme. Just do something that makes you a better woman than the attention craving wife. Most importantly, affirm to yourself every chance u get, that u are beautiful, smart and worthy to be loved. Never rely on any human being for your sense of self worth. Nobody can complete you, you are complete all on your own. Your husband is just there to complement your awesomeness. Do these and watch the magic in hubby's attitude towards you. Believe me, I know, cos I am a married dude like him. He just cannot get over seeing u live confidently. God Bless u. |
Health › Re: 4 Kinds Of Sexual Transmitted Disease (STD) That Condoms Cannot Prevent. by Dhotseal(m): 10:49pm On Jul 11, 2015 |
Blizzyblinkzy: I know this real bad news 4 pple that doesn't have one sex partner.
A couple of sexually active individuals think they are completely protected frm contacting any form of STD as long as they use condom during sexual intercourse. However this is not really the case.
The fact is that u can still catch an STD even when u use condom 100% of the tym during intercourse.
This is because during sex the scrotum ( a pouch of skin containing the testicles where the sperm is produced.) why the man which is not covered by condoms may still touch the vulva ( the external opening of the vagina), and guess what happens u are in STD. Some diseases can be contracted includes:
1. Genital Herpes: A disease caused by a variety of the herpes simplex virus and characterised by blister in the genital area. You should remember that research has suggested a link btw cervical cancer and genital herpes. This is because abt half of the women who have cervical cancer also have genital herpes.
2. Genital Warts: A small growth occurring in the anal or genital areas caused by virus that is spread especially by sexual contact.
3. Public lice: Public lice, also known as crabs, are tiny insects. They live commonly in pubic hair and are spread through close body contact during sexual intercourse.
4. Molluscum Contagiousum: Is a viral infection that affects the skin. It is highly contagious and easily spread esp. With sexual intercourse.
This really called 4 proper care. And its important u choose ur partner carefully. Wow..thanks for the info, but how do u know if you are your partner's only partner? |

What's more disturbing in the pictures is why they had to form a line behind the governor...

herald9: Russia 8500 war heads
USA 7700 war heads
Beht why? It is not in the number but effective delivery systems. US is ahead of Russia. The numbers are simply unnecessary cos only 20 of those Dropped in a country will completely destroy it. The numbers u see is the only reason there has not been a nuclear war cos nobody comes out of it a winner. That's why they call it " M.A.D" Mutually Assured Destruction. |
Career › Re: Help Union Bank Unjustly Terminated My Appointment! by Dhotseal(m): 3:33pm On Jun 27, 2015 |
HungerBAD: Brother, i greet you and know my write up is that of a man that is a novice about how Nigeria Banking laws works. But what is performance related crime? i searched for it on Google and that too could not give me an answer, related to the Nigerian Banking context.
But the bottom line is that the statement ends with the word CRIME.
People should after getting employments, read the fine prints in their contracts before signing anything. I am sure in your contract somewhere, it was stated that your contract/appointment/confirmation can be terminated at anytime. If you were made a Staff just last month and got fired in a world record time, must mean there is more to the story you are not letting on.
I have a MILLION lines to write here, but before i continue i will appreciate you define the word PERFORMANCE RELATED CRIME in a layman's term, and then we the committee of NAIRALAND ADVISERS can go from there. Now I can't for the life of me deduce what CRIME has got to do with poor performance at work. I can hazard a guess that almighty Google got confused too when u used crime and job performance in the same sentence. To the post, there are a long line of reasons an employer can fire a staff on. But, they usually dnt give any reason than " Your service is no longer required. Good luck in your future endevours" bla bla bla... Op, pls just try and take it in your stride...if it doesn't kill u, it makes u stronger. |

No sir, the employer has a duty in law to compensate. If you read the Act you will understand that the employer is almost strictly liable for all work place accidents. He can keep his compassion to himself and compensate the guy already or he stands to lose a lot. |

Anyway, pls contact your lawyer, this total disability, and under the employee compensation Act, you are entitled to be compensated for the loss of the fingers. Pls, he should not negotiate with his employers on his own, let him get a lawyer involved. I would have offered my services pro bono, but I am based in Lagos. let him get a sound attorney in Awka. lynn79: Yes, what the Oba of Lagos said was wrong and unneccessary. BuT I wonder how people feel fre to insult a king so easily. It clearly shows lack of manners, ill-breeding and no sensee of tradition or culture. If one is truly a Lagosian, either by birth or by location, one would have respect for the monarch. My brother, my people have a saying that when a snake starts acting like a mere rope, women will use it to tie firewood. Your Oba lost all claims to respect the day he started speaking like a tout.
