I kind of agree with this. In fact, in audit this is a risk in itself and may expose the company to material misstatement or fraud,due to the lack of knowledge of the internal/compliance auditor

Good day guys, I got a job which I'm not exactly trained or qualified for. I've never worked in this capacity before and the firm has placed the responsibility of creating that department on me and expect me to do well over the next six months. I turned down a marketing offer and they asked me the other roles I think I'll do well. I mentioned internal control/auditing and was asked to write what i know about the roles.

They were impressed with the write-up and I'll be working as internal auditor/compliance officer in a microfinance bank. I know I can check the job functions on Google but I need practical tips,materials,videos etc to succeed from experienced persons and/or persons who studied auditing/internal control as a course or have worked in similar sector before as compliance officer,thanks in advance.Lalasticlala,abeg help my ministry to progress to permanent site.

While I would congratulate you on your new found position,I want to emphasize that this job function is not easy as it may seem
I am surprised that HR and board can appoint someone without experience to oversee such an important department.
As an internal auditor/compliance officer, you must know EVERY thing/processes/procedures about all the departments (nature of the business) to be able to identify risk areas and mitigate against its occurrence. You should also be able to carry out compliance and substantive test among other tasks you would be involved in.
I presume you have an accounting degree or something similar for you to have been given this role or else, teller/cashiers and HoPs would use you to play ping pong.
Be sharp and smart as you undertake this position. Diplomatic and tough when conducting your duties.

Pls i will make this very brief. Since when i got married to my wife i have tried to be helpful in the home front but it seem she want to capitalize on that.

She has been doing these many times and i overlook, yesterday own got me mad which i begin thinking if marrying is bad. I came back frm work and she ask me to help her with our baby which i did; but when she came she now told me that i am going to cook the soup, which i told her it has been long i did that rather she can tell what what do - like preparing the ingredients then she will cook. Pls note i wake up everyday by 5am wash d plate, sweep the house and d outside even wash her cloth anything she can't.
Yesterday she said if i don't cook which i stood my ground, then we are going to sleep empty stomach and that was what she did.
My people pls is there any wrong i have done. I am a faithful husband, i assist her in anyway i can but she alway want me to submit to everything she says.
