I aint no diasporan, but i've gotta give a big shout out to our hustlers out there.

Y'all are really keeping this economy afloat (at least for the common man)

i know a lot of so called Big boys back here, who have been given chances to travel out by family out there, but refused simply becos they know if they leave, they will have to work for every cent as opposed to flexing on their ppls sweat blood back home.

Also, i feel that if these remittances capture the informal & other aspects, the figure is closer to $20billion.

Some of my diasporan peeps, even boast of wealth over here that makes the life they live ove there such an irony

Morale in banks is @ an all time low as we speak.

So urs truly has cut back on most of d frivolous calls i make, chasing deals all over the country.

I spent like 2 days in the office last week like operations staff, when i realised the gold mine these mofos ware sitting on.

Can u believe the amount of hot chics that troop through the rotor doors on average in a day.

My new job description now includes helping beautiful damsels resolve those knotty banking issues.
Shit paid dividends big time over the weekend, plus dem chics are buying into my recession/Sanusi tsunami scam yans.
Told em i working on without pay cos i have a mind boggling 350m in bad loans on my books. (my region no even get am sef)

nowadays i've gotten good @ parrying d question "what do u do?"

OMO IBO:
Dude, controversy sells. For this reason alone this movie will blow if properly executed.

The only thing that may stop this movie from seeing the light of the day in Nigeria is if it is banned but then again it is a far cry.
I agree with u, If properly executed the movie is gonna blow, besides i believe the promoters of this project were not looking towards naija to recoup even 10% of the $10milla.

But believe me, some ppl have to be painted in a bad light or in a way unacceptable to em in this movie, and u & i know the major players in the war r all alive & still pull considerable weight.

So no matter what the controversy element in naija must be there.

As for me i'm more into the technical/Artistic aspects of the project, if it happens, Because once again, we too yan for this country.
TV/MoviesRe: Biafran War Epic Movie To Cost $10m by diggler(m): 2:39pm On Nov 01, 2009
If they execute this properly, the movie is gonna rake in @ least 5 times the investment. Especially if they market it well internationally.

As for the home market, they should forget it for the following reasons;

1. The Alaba mafia no go gree the movie comot dem don tidy the Blu-ray begin sell.

2. Topic is so controversial (i personally have investigated/researched, everybody has their take on the war both within & outside ethinic lines)
So it has the potential of heating up the polity that Madam rebranding might ban ze movie DISTRICT 9 anybody!

plus by heating up the polity i mean some Boko Haram types who aint never seen a TV set might take to the streets to prepare human suya.

all in all if it aint the usual posturing, The project is a laudable idea to be encouraged.

I was just wondering what the house would've been like if Hannicob were still around.

Damn those two were characters.

meanwyl tho i still admire her great body & general beauty, Elizabeth has also struck a weird chord in me.

Can anyone remember the when both houses were merged & Eliz had that Father deja vu thingy with Yacob.

That honey is psycho period.
BusinessRe: Regulator Cannot Locate Microfinance Banks by diggler(m): 11:17am On Oct 31, 2009
Some MFBs r well run.

I know of one in the South East practically owned by the Catholic church.
This MFB is arguably the biggest banking Institution in the that state because of the sentimental undertones.

They have affliations with regular deposit money banks who provide em with ATMs, Clearing & other treasury services. Matter of fact these commercial banks r falling over themselves for deposits from this bank.

with the right target market & biz plan, MFB bizness is very lucrative. If i have like N50m to spare walahi i dey launch my own sharpishly.

I've been so deep into affairs of the hustle that i havent had time for NL less watching BBA.
But from what i can see from the official site , NL & other places, u've gotta give it to Nkenna.

She is razz, no doubt but lets face it she is Entertaining , plus that girl has some serious strategy or (jazz according to some peeps) working for her.

The SuperSport guy was in that house & as an Mnet Insider, saw something we didnt, which was why he predicted that girl would pick d money.

Lets watch sha.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by diggler(m): 8:07pm On Oct 15, 2009
How many cameras do they have in the friggin house again?

So please can somebody (who is watching cos i aint) explain the whole Kristal situation with the stolen Ipod.
Whatever with the situation tho.
That Chic exudes so much negativity, used to think Liz was the -ve one but somehow she is better than Kristal.

If i were to rank the chics, shell be ryte down there with Nkenna.

But honestly, forget Nkenna & her wacko yans, i'd prefer Kristal & her negativity leave the house first.
Even tho Quinn will be caught up, u cant make an omelet without broken eggs can u?
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by diggler(m): 11:02pm On Oct 10, 2009
soki2ng, Gerry might not attain Kevin's momentum however she doesn't need to.

In the end, if she snag the $200k nobody will ask if it was cos of a sympathy vote or whatever.

Do u think Kevin's momentum can save him against say Quinn? (cos if & when Quinn comes up, i'm voting for the white boy)

Honestly, if i had been in that house, She is the chic i woulda been close to (not cos of any sexual thingy, tho if she tender the toto, me go chop clean mouth)

That is why i thumb up to K1 who despite his Kalahari looks has some silky smooth yans, the type that gets chics esp Gerry's type enthralled.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by diggler(m): 9:17pm On Oct 10, 2009
I've always said Geraldine has the potential she just needs someone to tap the cream.

Nkenna needs polishing, she & Itai might've actually helped each other but their combined erratic effect aint much help.

Kevin, we pray u make it on sunday but beyond that, once geraldine gains enuff momentum, u can kiss the house goodbye. I'm already sick of ur midget ass & swagger.

@ diggler, RENE, MILF?!!! grin grin grin, too much porn u been watching, lol
Lets break this shit down.

that bitc.h looks like 15 years older than what she says she is.
Also looks like shes birthed a couple of times
Finally reminds me of Stiflers mom from American Pie (my introduction to the term MILF).

Finally as a "First Class Pornoisseur" and Art critic i get to determine who is a milf & who is not.

So to me she is a MILF and hell yeah ILF! grin

@Sology
Well maybe snagging chicas wont help kev land the money but like u said he should be himself (whatever that is)

I love Elizabeth as well (more than u infact grin)
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by diggler(m): 10:03pm On Oct 05, 2009
F.CUK what Kevin thot, that cat outlived his usefulness after the thriller task.
upon all im swag na only truth or dare action im dey fit snag.

meanwhile my boy Hanni don snag two chicalas initiate gbese ontop
Even clumsy Cappi Di Tutti Yacob bin do tounge action with that MILF Rene.

Unfortunately, the Hype is now kevins undoing cos as his true self (a pro faker) comes thro, his haters will multiply.

Igbins chic Gerry should step up her game esp with the pairing, i've been praying she might fall for that side of beef jeremmy or the guy fit fall for am.
then the game will get interesting and i will be consoled for the loss of hannington/Yacob or Elizabeth/Kevin.

mind u the only reason i want the latter pair in the house is cos of the chicas hotness & national pride.
Other than that, i'd prefer Yacob & Hanni to keep the drama/ schemeing up.

Meanwyl see as Leonel, K1, & Gerry just dey swoop under de radar sotee dem go collect the 200k.

this game is ill
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by diggler(m): 9:00pm On Oct 05, 2009
This is the revolution

However Mnet & biggie aint stupid.
They cant afford to just toss the most entertaining pair (Hannignton & Yacob) or the most popular pair (Elizabeth & Kevin).
Remember this is television & u need to drive viewership. If any pair from this combo leaves now that house will lose a lotta fans either way.

So this is what i feel will happen.

Come Sunday, the first fake eviction of this seasons show will be staged.
Before then mtn & a host of cell networks & ISPs plus MNET their co-conspirators, will smile to the bank from the gazillions to be made from the frantic voting that has already started.

then again, the YACOB in me could be wrong.

So get online, whip out your cellys and vote for both teams.

Going by the correct standards, Nkenna is right!! this is what is meant by the Nigerian Education system being bad. The units are giving with respect to the number of hours required to be spent in classes.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by diggler(m): 8:55pm On Sep 23, 2009
Keep up the good work on d thread peeps.

I'm luvin all the comments.

For me personally i think our naija peeps should relax cos our boy kevin aint goin no where.
Tho the rest of Africa might be hating on him, the boy has entertainment value & that counts for something especially in this era of positive voting.

Geraldine & Nkenna had better step up their act soon else they r gone the minute they come up for eviction.
Tho i'm guessing the next few nominations r gonna be sentiment based
for now they r tryin to fly under the radar(could backfire anytime tho).

On the entertainment value rankings i'd rank the housemates as follows

(mind u all sentiments/biases on my part inclusive)

KEVIN (sweet boy, ryte moves, ryte yarns, tho hope he snags some tail grin b4 the show is over)
Quinn (another balanced fella, smart, even tho he is white the dude has skills, remember his Zulu moves when he came in, SA peeps prefer him to liz)
Hannington (yeah yeah he was disgusting, but since the ladies came in the dude has up his game, shun the alliance he is in)
Rene (drama queen, shun her smoker alliance, plus she has this classic white MILF look, and boy do i love that look, seriously doubt if she's 27)
Elizabeth (chei, this honey to me is the hottest in a d house, the girl fine the kind fine wey dey cos civil war & on that basis alone she should stay)
Jeremy (i mean, the boy fine come grab, plus he is a bit smart too, if he can hack the Jemma thing then he is in for th long haul)
Yakub (every movie needs a bad guy, the Dr Evil, lex luthor, joker, always hatching evil, for that i love yakub, he shuld be last man standing in the allaince)
Kaone (the boy na bush man, kinda resembles the one from the movie too, for variety sake make e dey dia)
Paloma (another drama queen, forget her hatability, u need that in the house so things be spinning)
Kristal (well, she is kinda fine but not as fine as hyped, a bit of a drama queen as well)
Emma (her survival is soley linked on her ability to get PROJECT JEMMA on track given that Jeremy is still forming fine boy as it were)
Leonel (the clown from mocambique, with the babyface thingy, make we see sha)
Liz & Jen (well jen get that kain virginal come strafe me look, liz has one of those i'll suck your cock lips)
Geraldine (she doesnt know it but she has potential, if she can over come her dentition confindence issues & mix it up with some dude in the house then the she'll last, Africa needs entertainment no be to dey there dey form IGBINS cream chic, who gives a fuc.k)
Nkenna & MZAMO (that bushmeat from Owerri, plus she needs a serious polishing. the other one na bushmeat as well, dem no dey add value as for me)
Phil ( he has entertainment value but cos of so much hate he has generated i bliv he's going come sunday)
Itai , Edward & Erastus (these three niggas is of no real value, once the twin suspense was broken E&E became irrelevant, itai na confirmed Otondo)

Like i said above ranking was laced with enuf sentiment (with sexual motivations in the case of some honeyz)

peace
CareerRe: The Future Of Bank Marketers In Nigeria by diggler(m): 9:09pm On Sep 17, 2009
I'd disagree with u a bit on that ma.

As an industry insider, i can tell u that marketers r the only hope these banks have going forward.

As a matter of fact, banks have started streamlining their operations departments to make em more efficient & able to deliver exceptional banking experiences for the customers whom the marketers bring in.

The simple effect of this is that redundant operations staff r now being redeployed to marketing or shown the door if they cant take the heat.

One of the industry giants noted for its wide reach has a new policy that sees to it that ppl of a certain paygrade should not be in operations instead they r told to generate business to justify their high pay.

So If anyone is planning on going into banking & doesnt have business generation mindset, then forget it especially with the current climate.

TravelRe: Is It Too Dangerous To Travel To The East? by diggler(m): 8:06pm On Sep 14, 2009
Hello Ma,

U can join ur husband in said trip back home if u people take the proper security precautions.
And it is very simple

Kidnappings succeed simply because these guys do their homework well and get enough information.
So to thwart any such attempt, ur husband & urself should be very stingy about information concerning ur trip.

Basically, u guys should sneak in like ghosts and b4 ppl realise u guys r around, u're gone.
Also u might want to be redo ur sleeping arrangements.

However, if u r not up to playing such cat & mouse game, then i'd advise y'all to stay back and lets hope the situation improves.
CareerRe: Banks Should Run Shifts by diggler(m): 7:54pm On Sep 13, 2009
Not all roles in banking, can be run on shift basis.

Also, for those roles that could be, we have better alternatives.

Eg. the bulk of operations roles, tellering etc can be more effectively managed with automation and introduction of more robust IT systems.
(which is actually the case, y'all must've heard about the atm machine that collects & pays)

Also if our ppl embrace e-banking practices more we wont have need to run shifts.

The only role i can see that'll require shifts r the IT personnel that'll oversee these systems. And actually, these dudes already run shifts.

So basically most support functions can be automated those that can be are already running some kinda shift system.
BusinessRe: Thanks To Sanusi: Foreign Banks Reject Letters Of Credit From Nigeria by diggler(m): 6:37pm On Sep 13, 2009
LCs are the best form of payment in International Trade.

However, i get the feeling that ppl in the thread are getting the impression that LCs are purely credit facilities.

That my friends is not the case, some Importers mostly in the mid-end of the market, confirm their LCs  by depositing the naira equivalent of the Transaction with their banks at the time of opening the LC.

It should be noted that most small time importers esp around commercial cities like Kano, Onitsha, Nnewi, Aba etc tend to pay for their imports through wire transfers. So non confirmation of LCs by correspondent banks will mostly affect the big time importers.

For now, i'll reserve my comments on Sanusis actions lets see how all this plays out.

these past few weeks have been terrible for moi with them gale force winds sweeping the Financial Services Industry courtesy of Mallam Sanusi.

My institution though still under examination (we'll scale thru cos we r so phocking conservative unlike the average New gen bank) has 2 priorities now

1. Recovery of Past Due Obligations/loans

2. Make sure u dont lose any key deposits b/4 december & generate new leads if u can.

So ryte now us marketing peeps r in a shitload of wahala as the heat is getting unbearable.
