Try using another bank card (doubt that would work because most banks have the same limit).

Your options: open a dorm account and use the card to pay or get someone(Trusted) in Canada to pay for you and refund them in Naira.

There’s also dollar cards floating around that you can sign up for and use to pay. I don’t remember the names right now but i’ll update if i do.

Please I am asking this question on behalf of a friend who is trying to complete her ECA application with WES.

She is married and her maiden name appears on her credentials. How will she fill in her last name to reflect both her maiden and married name?

Let her use the same names as her credentials. When it's time to submit application, she can add marriage certificate as evidence of marriage. That would be explanation enough for the name change discrepancy.

For you: bank letters and statement showing the money, not necessarily 6months unless you have cash flow over that time that you need to show as evidence of part of your POF.

Unfortunately you cannot claim single while married. It’ll be seen as misrepresentation which can result in a 5year ban

My advice: Consider changing to accompanying spouse, find a way to get the money even if you have to ask family members to chip in. Let it come through any of your parents or parent in-laws, get a gift deed, apply .

Also your brother inlaw can give you extra 15points If he already had PR so take advantage of that.

Things will get better, be hopeful.

I’ve had to request for my UK PCC that was around March this year because I was expecting to receive ITA before the pandemic.

Due to the drop down on Crs cut off now. I’m expectant with 471.

How long does the UK PCC last for before expiring. Although I read 12months, would like to confirm. Just in case one needs to request again.

P.S I’m currently living in Nigeria.

As long as you did it after leaving the UK, do not worry. It’s still very much valid. I’m about to apply for mine and also expecting at 471.

Please has anyone ever had their speaking test with MOD scheduled for 9 days after the written tests. I want to register for ielts with MOD on the 26th of September, but my passport expires on the 5th of October. I'm trying to quickly get a new one but they're saying no booklets so it would take two weeks. Please who knows if they ever schedule speaking tests as late as 9 days after the rest of the tests

It’s always within a week of your listening and others. So it could be few days before the saturday or on the Saturday immediately after writing The others or a day after. Go ahead and book now that your passport is still valid because no booklet truly.

I'm an Electrical/Electronics Engineer in the marine Industry and NOC 7242 best suits my job duties to about 90%. This is NOC C and it is eligible for express entry as well.

My fears now are the employment requirements. it says I need to have undergone some apprenticeship for a couple of years before I'm qualified.

I didn't do any apprenticeship or training but my Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering qualifies me for the job here.

Filling my profile and I'm on that field that asks when I first qualified to work in that capacity. I don't know if I'm to put the year I earned my degree or not since I don't have any apprenticeship training.

Should I ignore what's on the "employment requirements" ?

I'm puzzled. Please help me out. Thanks

NOC C doesn’t qualify for express entry so check again because It’s either 0,A or B.

Unless your profession is regulated and you need a certificate to continue practicing in Canada, i’ll say ignore the requirements. Put the year you Graduated university as the year you first qualified.

Also ensure that your actual job description matches that of the NOC you choose not just job title.

Pay online, print the necessary documents and go to their office. Everything will be done, i was there today and someone doing passport renewal did everything today including capture. No 32 page booklet available only 64page so keep that in mind when paying online. After everything you’ll get a date to come back.

When you get to the passport office, just tell them at the gate that you are meeting someone and you will call the person (if not they will harass you and try to get you to pay extra). Enter and go straight to servicom, the rest of the proCess will be explained to you from servicom desk.

After the data capture, the old passport was returned to me intact. Aren't they supposed to cancel it?

Now while I am waiting for them new passport to be ready (no booklet), I need to certify some academic documents at the embassy and will have to present my passport. Can I use the old passport?

Yes you can still use the old one u til a new one has been Issued.

List the amount you have for POF, no need to write LOE. Whether you decide to use the excess or not is irrelevant providing that whenever the VO Checks, your account has the minimum required amount for the application(bearing in mind exchange rate fluctuations).

If what you want to use the passport for is urgent, and you have an official document to prove that it's urgent you can go to Ikoyi and see what happens.
I just got my file, attached the school slip, and submitted it to the Oga there, and they did it the same day. I went back to take it on Friday 11th.
I went there 9th.

I appreciate but it seems am becoming confused the more. Some said my HND and ND is evaluated as two degree while you are saying my HND +ND is equal to 3 year bachelors degree. Thats confusing pls. Different evaluation bodies gives different results. I’ll suggest using WES because HND and ND is evaluated as two separate degrees by WES.
