Hello all,

It's been a minute. Just like that i'm nearing the 6month mark for my submission, remaining 36days (it flew by quickly i didn't even notice).

I recently found out that my file is at Accra when i did a CSE to add spouse. Fingers crossed that PR will arrive in time for when Canada opens it doors.

On another note, exchange rate is a ****. POF for two now at N4.9m (Official rate o).

Two months later when I submitted the updated application, POF for two was N5.5m

I submitted updated POF from piggyvest while adding spouse. I didn't see anyone that used it but I took the risk since it's a registered "financial institution". I'm confident it will fly.

I requested for a reference letter (it comes in the format required by IRCC) and bank statement.

Note that Piggyvest prints their statement from the date/time they access their system. so if even if you request for a statement from today and print backwards, if they access system on friday morning, they will start the statement from then. Factor that into your request.

It's been a while...i've been keeping busy whilst waiting for any form of news.

I successfully added spouse on June 1st which coincidentally was the day my application clocked 6months. It was acknowledged on the 13th, BIL came 14th June and biometrics was completed on the 18th.

We're still waiting o. Fingers crossed that there will be movement now that COPR holders can travel. I got ITA in the thread and here's hoping that PPR can come in this same thread.

Now will be a good time for copr holders and those waiting for reissue to get both 1st and 2nd dose of the vaccine.

Did you have a contact or you just walked in and was attended to?

I’m guessing they walked in after completing the forms and payment online. This thread Encourages DIY so your best bet is to do same.

She can Fill, scan and send to you. Just send her a link to download the guarantors form from the NIS website.

Just incase: To find it just google guarantor form Nigerian passport and it should pop up.

Hello, I applied for the 32pages passport for a family member last month, Oct 10, at the ikoyi center and was told the leaflets were not available as at then.the charges was 45k,but we paid 40k to balance 5k,on the day of collection. now,the guy running things for us now is demanding for his balance and always try to circumvent our question on the status of the passport. Paying the balance is not the issue, but is the leaflets now available at the ikoyi office?? So, I want to confirm from those that has visited the ikoyi center recently, if the 32 pages is now available?

Booklets full ground so if I were you, i’d take the enrolment ID (slip given after capturing) and go to Ikoyi to collect the passport. 40k wey bra chop dun do. Don’t bother paying the remaining (person opinion) unless you don’t have access to the collection details.

You’ll spend about 2-3hrs max waiting to collect.

I agree. An affidavit would work fine but some embassies have a preference for NPC birth cert.

It’s the number you get after you capture. It’s used to check whether your passport is ready or not.

Please be sure this guy has not collected your money and gone to sleep.

If you have an enrollment ID, take it to NIS and check.

People have been collecting booklets since lastweek.

After over two months of waiting, I finally collected the passport.

Left home by 7: 30 Am but the rain flogged the living daylight out of me and the bike man on the third mainland bridge. Got to the NIS office all soaked and had to wait for a little to dry my clothes.

Got into the queue by 8:30 AM, wrote my name in the collection slip, and took a snapshot of the slip with my phone before submitting it to the officer at the gate.

I had to wait till almost 10: 27 AM before I heard my name, collected the passport, and headed straight for the activation room. Activation took less than 30 minutes. I wrote down my name, enrollment ID, phone number, and signed in the book provided.

So, ladies and gents, I don collect my passport oh.

DO IT YOURSELF.

What is the real price for international passport now?

25k for 32pages (new Ebooklet)
15k for 32 pages (old/normal booklet) Not available at some locations.

Not sure of prices for the other pages

We were told 15k for attestation of birth from NPC with duration of 2weeks.

The 42k was paid to someone at NIS to process new passport application. This fee covered everything he needed excluding NIN which he already had.

If you have all your documents, please go DIY route and save money.

An affidavit will work just fine in place of birth certificate or attestation.

Las las this country is a cruise. After plenty roadblocks, we decided DIY route won’t work for him because we’ll spend more and it will take longer.

My spouse tried to get birth attestation, they said 15k and it will be ready in 2weeks. State of origin letter he no get. He called one of our “aunties” at passport office Ikoyi, that one asked for 42K to process passport without stress and his details. She filled the form and asked him to bring 4 passport photographs and come for capture Today.

On getting there, she had done birth attestation, State of origin letter for ogun state and every other thing he might need.

While i’m not pleased with the idea of the route he chose, i understand because it’s less stressful and passport will be ready in a week.

One day Naija will be better.

Well, I wouldn't say you don't need it cos they checked for mine, though I didn't go with any Original document, just photocopies. The only document I didn't submit was my NIN slip, although you'd need the number to register online.

If he has his Birth Certificate, then I'd say he should try first. They might just waive the LGA ID, it's not like it's that important. In my case, they just ran a red pen through it, not even a stamp or signature.

His official price is 7500 however i was able to negotiate it to 5k.

Since you are two, you may get it done cheaper. I’ll advice you wait till the pcc is done before you negotiate so they Don’t refuse you.

I don’t know of anyone cheaper, maybe someone else can assist with that.

Yes i took the printed Slip Given to me back for collection. However i noticed some people didn’t have it and just wrote full name + enrolment ID and dropped in the pink bowl.

Servicom is the way to go. Once they see that brown file, you’re like a special candidate.

Once its 2weeks, no wait for text just go back before you begin hear story. Those numbers pasted on the Glass screen didn’t respond to any of the messages i sent to confirm if passport is ready.

Take a photocopy of the data page of your passport, a passport photograph And go to Alagbon CID. At the gate say you’re off to see ASP moshood to get police report. His office is room 64, he’ll take your prints and get it done in under 20mins.

Their official Price is N7500, depending on Your bargaining power you can pay less.

NIS is open, i was there on Tuesday.
