DivaC: I used Wakanow recently, on my trip to London and I was blown away by their excellent customer service. Not only did they help me get my visa in record time they also called me to remind me about my flight prior takeoff. Their customer service is also one of the best I've come across in Nigeria, the way they empathised with me when I couldn't get good transit time was just exceptional. I also heard they have fast response times on their social media pages even though I haven't had cause to refer to that yet.you've posted this three times this year, instead of painting your company white, why not resolve customer complaint and take criticism on the chin |
justwise: I'm not surprised that it ended like that though, followed that thread then and did not have a good feeling about an individual involved in the planning.sometimes i get iffy when people start taking things private, i was hoping the whole thing will be discussed on the thread if/when it eventually kicked off |
if you are involved directly; please name those in charge |
slimming: wonderful motivation for the youth therehow ? |
berem: Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is to visit Akwa Ibom in next month, the Niger Delta Young Professionals, a non governmental group, has said. ![]() |
justwise: I doubt it kicked off, judging by the last complain in that thread it seems that someone was duped.really? i didn't even know that last post was related to the thread until i read the whole thing again will try to email those that are still active on nairaland |
I like this Aganga he talks a lot of numbers as if he's in yankee or Jand same with Adeshina his ministry is an MOU signing dept now |
timecop28: Later, y'all will start crying that the society is corrupt and the Govt isn't fighting corruption, well except u tell me this Isn't corruption in any sense. I believe one of the ways to transform a thief is to embarrass him. u do otherwise, I bet u hez definitely going down that road again.Sarcasm my dear cop |
ikeyman00: @@@yes brov superman I didnt notice that, just not used to painting anything and everything with the same brush- im not too sure about benue, i rarely see topics about that I belived Oga sanusi said theyve recovered 6billa so far, so uncompleted but a job in progress only wish smaller customers can get the same attention as the big depositors |
BarryX: 6billion is definitely underestimated, Personally i lost quite a sum due to mistaken account number of which i am still 'digging' it out with the bank since last year and with way things are going i might yield coupled with hidden maintenance charges, nobody has really given me the full details of what the f*kin ATM card maintenance fee is all about. If i am allowed to give their cheating figure, i would say all their profits for last year.Oh please dont say this in public, apparently we not meant to say bad things about our institutions we dont want to scare away investors and customers now do we? |
Boss13: Sanusi, you seem to forget all too soon that you were part of the banking system and also your top priority job is to boost confidence in the banking system.there a similiar cases in other countries and alerting the public is part of confidence building! all this hush hush business does more harm than good, atleast I as a customer would like to know something is being done and some crooked banker is being shamed in public! Four banks will now compensate tens of thousands of small businesses who were mis-sold complex insurance deals, says the Financial Services Authority. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-21272606 |
tunesoft: The more u look d less u see , so u guys never know...well now u will know...REMI TINUBU is to be the next lagos state governor...I had calculated with tinubu...when remi was asked to go to d house in mamora's place..just to get training..as well as make her political CV solid...REMI it isblah blah blah with kwara state in their pocket they said the same about Senator Saraki, smart people know where to draw the line |
lyricalpreacher: I was actually expecting to read local contents. Most of the people you listed are in advanced countries where the challenges are different(though not necessarily easier). The topic was catchy but no real depth. Their stories are motivating no doubt but I believe a lot more people wld be able to relate to stories about successful nigerians on what they were doing at 25.true seems people find it hard to tell their success stories or perhaps could just be a cultural thing, or we are just paranoid-winches from the village I also notice most[not all] 'inspirational' articles in Nigeria are about people in other countries, some don't even fit in |
fiscalcliff: Morning thread contributors who spit insight by their replies, depends on your bank and account type its generally £250-£400 daily |
Afam4eva: I hate the new search engine with a passion. It doesn't even order the search in ascending order. Seun, please revert to the old one.100likes ! |
spikes C: You're tackling this problem from a wrong angle. Why do FG still ask us to pay for insurance but they do not pay claims. Why are we forced to pay insurance at all without a benefits being gauranteed. The average driver doesn't even know what the insurance means.its the Nigerian way, you must blame the consumers and never the providers Why are those micro insurance accepted by the Police? Why are they present in the registration office if larger insurance companies are losing money and public confidence why dont they do something about their poor service and dogon turanci tactics |
Do you want driving directions or public transport directions? |
hardbody: I am very careful not to hit you, but if i am in the wrong, i sign off papers for you and give you my insurance particulars, you sort it out with them, they will fix you up and fix me too, because i carry comprehensive insurance on all my cars.I know how insurance is meant to work...Im just asking if you hit lukman the danfo driver, will he actually take this from paper from you without causing a scene and holding everybody up on the main road |
Benaig: WHO told you? which type of policy was involved and which insurance company?you keep asking this question....why do YOU THINK MANY CAR OWNERS ignore insurance |
Fhemmmy: Are you serious?same here, lengthy paper work and plenty of oyinbo |
kokoye: pennywise pound foolish or better still...kobowise; naira foolishever been to lagos? theres a crash every minute and people still dont get insurance, they just hold everyone up negotiating price of repair.... there must be a reason thousands of crash in Lagos, theres must be something putting people off, seemingly educated comfortably people with 'expensive' cars ; I still wonder why they are more likely to buy a tracking device but wont get insurance |
Benaig: It beats my imagination why most car owners prefer the ordinary piece of paper that does not provide any cover (obtained from licencing offices) to the genuine third party insurance that costs N5000 only and protects them for up to N1million in third party liabilities (from registered insurance companies)word of mouth is a powerful tool, customer generally recommend good service/products there are several avenues set up by NEPA/PHCN for complaints i wonder how effective those are... I'd like to know the answer too |
many people were shouted down for saying the banks were declaring paper profit prior to the crisis wont be surprised if shareholder get the same rough treatment for asking what insurance managers do with their funds too after all its naija where asking oga qeustions is seen as disrespectful |
![]() Having said that I want to clear something here: I 'strongly' disbelieve that insurance firms use abt 80% of the premium collected for management costs. Rather it should be that that article meant to say 80% of the profits earned on the premium. When this premiums are paid, the companies in turn, use the monies as capital to do businesses (businesses which vary from one company to another). At the end they make profit from this deals they do. Now, from the proceeds, they pay the client interest on his money(a prior mutual agreement on the rate), pay the marketers their stipends and commissions, pay their electricity bills, water bills, salaries, rents, fuel generators and cars, repairs and general maintenance etc. After all these expense the company might have a substantial/little amount to declare as profits of which the shareholder may/may not be happy with. It is false and misleading to say that insurance companies spend 80% of premium on management expenses. For some of us here who don't know what 'premium' is: its the total money a client (the insured) pays as cover to the insurance coy per annum. So if a client is paying 10,000 naira monthly it'll amount to 120,000naira per annumm. This 120,000 is the premium. so a coy doing & in business just leaves the money laying down there and keeps spending out of it up to 80? ?I'll back for proper analysis. Thanks
So The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) is misleading the world with their analysis of a sector they are regulating- nice!!! Same way CBN mislead people about PHB,Oceanic etc etc abi |
bros which april? April plenty ooo |
