So was looking for a little break from work in the new year, since this weather was dragging on, decide a short break wouldnt be a bad idea- less planning, less packing, less expensive..you get the gist

My first choice was Paris, then thought Cyprus or Turkey for a bit of sunshine, then Amsterdam

Amsterdam stuck, less/no language barrier,clean, a bit quirky and orangey, tourist friendly, very good reviews with almost no complaint or rip offs, similar weather tick tick tick and plenty of information online- massive bonus plus they are non aggressive

was reviewing the price and as usual didn't make my mind up, was busy swallowing the huge amount of information, reading reviews on tripadvisor etc etc- the accommodation/flight prices shooting up gradually until 2weeks to my leave date

Main Aim was
Visit the Museum and Parks
Experience the City Canal Tour
Experience the City Bike Ride
and any extras


finally booked the hotel, then the flight...

Please, I have a situation at hand and require some assistance sirs and mas.
I am planning a vacation in UK with my wife and two kids in two months time, however my wife just got a new job today! Though I will be the sponsor for the family, I initially planned that my wife will attach documents (payslips, letter of introduction, leave approval, etc) from her employer in order to proof that she works and to boost the success of the application. I wouldn't know if this can still be done now, knowing fully well that she has now officialy resigned. Meanwhile, presenting documents form her new employer may not be a good move as she resumes on April 9th. Please, advise us on how best to go about this issue. We intend to submit our aplications on April 24th. God bless you all...

is her holiday plans known to the new employer? if theres an official acknowledgment of the holiday by the new employer, i doubt they'll be much problems. i'd think that address her ties to the country and you as the main sponsor will sort the your end

I merely want to know why it was important for an outsider to know how much a company pays different cadres of staff. In Nigeria, companies do not advertise their salaries for general public consumption.

If a company called me for an interview today, I wouldn't call around or come on Nairaland asking how much that particular company pays before I turn up for the interview. At the interview, I am free to ask directly, and I am also free to request for the particular remuneration level I am looking for. Why would I not prefer to get it directly from source, than rely on rumours and hearsay?

But there's nothing wrong with a prospective employee calling around or asking on a forum how much a company pays before actually turning up for an interview

so many reason, curiosity,benchmarking,career/lifestyle decisions= rent, mortgage, school fees etc etc
why shouldn't people know how much companies pay their entry/experienced hire, i mean thousands of companies already

I noticed that too, the roads are wider, most importantly imo they have road markings with hard shoulders, and they are already constructing the drainage, unlike the nigerian portion

not necessarily, there's a a glaring difference between 2 weeks and 5and half weeks though as a tourist

This is just speculations. For instance, can you because the speaker Aminu Tambuwai issued those statements, go and arrest him for sponsoring Boko haram? We shouldn't forget that persons arrested will eventually end up in court, as the govt cannot arrest prominent people and just detain them or kill them. There has to be concrete evidence before the govt moves against prominent citizens or indeed any person.

We really have no country anymore o-o. They want the Igbos and Christians to disappear from their face. Isn't it high time they gave these people their own country and all southerners return down south? It is no more wise for southerners to live or go investing up north, I am no more comfortable anymore about the safety of my relations in the middle belt Abuja. I'm not even sure that it is wise for Igbos to have properties in Abuja and other middle belt states because the way the hatred is boiling in them they may bear down on people in Abuja too. I am going to tell all my siblings in Abuja to better sell off whatever they have in Abuja and come down south east to build afresh. erm yes its working but 2 days a week and sometimes it doesnt stop at all the stations, it can be overcrowded ,so make sure you are not in a rush to your destination and wear appropriate clothes

Jesse Jagz was the best rapper and producer in choc city. Sad they didnt push him the way they did MI and ICE PRINCE.

If you listened to his last album,Jag of all Trades, you will understand this guy is supreme talent. I think he has the same problem as sound sultan, both are talented but dont have the acceptability among youths of today for reasons i dont know. Sound Sultans last album,Back from the Future was also a classic. Guess it as an image problem rather than a talent problem.

Tragic once again. I hope he does well on his own. Jargo,Wetin Dey, Nobody Test me,My brother and so on were just too good. That album was dropped in 2010 by d way. 3 years ago.

commercial sells over any 'deep' talent anoter thing is your market, some people just dont fit the popular list, they have specific market those that appreciate their music will always go for their concerts and albums but wont get popular list
