enyojo: The PDP led FG doesnt consider the ACN led state govt for any counsel whether for Ministerial position, Ambassadorial or locating a University!
But why should Police always kill people? True, The state government actually paid money for the proposed site to be cleared and ready for construction now the Fg changed location without telling anyone waste resources in the process Yes the Police under Jonathan Odechukwu have been particularly inhuman, the number of people killed under this president is on the increase and he doesn't appear to give to coins about it, it's a reflection of his violent background where militancy, wanton destruction of life and property is a tool Wasting resources and wasting life is Jonathan's trademark |

manny4life: Please people shouldn’t attack me "what do u know about Nigerian Politics" but I strongly believe he went out of line by challenging the president. In my own small opinion; he is setting a dangerous precedent that is unacceptable regardless of how incompetent Mr. President is. sorry how's that an attack on you? bloody hell i hope people are not imbibing the humble odechukwu persona?and Jonathan is not setting a foul precedent by calling clearly competent and popular governors rascals? mon rerin- i dey laugh |

manny4life: Hey what do I know, but I' have never heard of a state governor challenging a president, it's stepping the line not if the Gov was caontesting for presidential position but hey if the president himself has nothing to hide and has lived up to the expectations, he should accept and tell the whole Nigerians what his made of. well now you heard!! that's what rascals do they challenge the status quo, we dont want some accidental leader dragging us to his accidental burial place he is challenging the FG-president should explain his policies, what he actually stands for, the insecurity up and down the country and his gross failure |

milehigh06: actually tipping makes a lot of dif to the waiters and co cos basically most of them dont even make up to minimum wage but make up via tips Are you sure? isnt it illegal to pay below minimum wage The wage of the waiter should be the concern of the employer not the customer |

I think it will be a walk over actually, it will be like he never came as most of his words will be inaudible like those cringy interviews he gave on CNN His handlers will definitely advise him to check himself and his fishery PhD |

when will he actually accept one in good time not some minutes to the election
What are the chances Odechukwu wont take a cue from his mentor OBJ and suspend funding for Lagos state |

monkeyleg: Whilst I agree that Nigerians have every right to ask questions, I think we should all be mature and tone down the sort of language we use against Goodluck. To say a sitting President Swindled money from Nigerians is a very strong word to use, especially when no one has concrete evidence.
That doesnt mean, points should not be made, but in a more subtle, responsible way.
I am not Goddies biggest fan, but I still think we should accord him some respect like calling people who have actual records to show rascals abi ? Me sef dey laugh |

Travel › Re: Why Don't Nigerians Tip? Why Do You Pay For Good Service? by DisGuy(mod): 12:19pm On Feb 10, 2011 |
Actually the tip should be in the Bill or cost of service or product you are paying for I really don't believe in this tipping thing. Its so American- i mean after paying for something you then bring out money again to 'tip' There is a principal of 10% of the bill. What if a family come with kids and ordered a bunch of cheap stuff and asked for several refills forcing you to come back and forth, the bill is $70 so you leave $7 (10%). Now a single man walks in and orders expensive wine and steak and the bill is $90, the waiter will EXPECT a higher tip even though less energy and service. Gross!! |

DeeJay20: BBC2 Documentary 2nite 9pm:Chinese are Coming to Nigeria/Africa
The Chinese are coming to Africa with a "Mission"
This Documentary focuses on the Chinese and the role they are playing economically in Africa.
For the the BBC to be looking at this means the British are aware of the new International business competition in what they term as their Back-yard (Africa) but they really want to know how the Africans feel about the chinese presense.
Looks Interesting and should be a good watch, shall post video's here when it airs. So anything the BBC looks at automatically translate to being concerned? Why are we (some of us) quick read meanings into documentaries especially those done by the British? Mind you the Documentary focus on the Chinese generally spreading across the world and not just Africa the next one is on the Brazil and then USA
Anyway the series is very interesting: Communist china spreading capitalism to Africa |

enyojo: Hypocricy has once again been displayed. The Gov Saraki pretends to be a great man by preventing his sister from taking over from him as Governor. But his deception has been exposed by his own inordinate ambition to take over from her as Senator.
The question is: Is it because they do not have the same mother that he hates her this much? Is it because she is better and more intelligent than him (so they said)?
But be it as it is, let Kwarans vote massively for Mr Belgore SAN, he will perform just like Mr Fashola SAN what sort of argument is that? Ed Miliband contested against his brother David Miliband for the post of leader of the Party and they are the same parent How is she more intelligent than him? He is better than her 100 times has more leadership qualities than most of the politicians around Apart from the main Belgore, how do you know that Mr Belgore will perform just like Fashola SAN, Aondoka is also an SAN |

concrete: @all:
in other words, he'd still be based in nigeria and i'd be based in canada but with a visit visa to uk, we can meet up there periodically until his canadian papers (permanent residency) are approved.
would a visit visa be better becasue my hubby just got a new job in nigeria and i have strong ties to canada so he can say that he has no intention of staying in uk, only to visit?
please advise think this is the best option to be honest, other options may be tangled up and involve spinning He should have the 'strong' ties to nigeria well planned especially with a new job and maybe pictures of a new baby might also help (that's if they don't ask where the baby is though) |
