“Some of them said only four candidates and we say why. What criteria are you using? Why not all the candidates? Why do you think this one is important and not the other one? Again, some of them don’t have the reach. But we are still looking at the format the debate will take,” Mr. Dabo said.

I'm told you get to choose the state, a friend of mine recently went for hers and was told to pick whichever state she wanted. Apparently this was the case for all the applicants from abroad.
True but some times there's an over spill , the candidates that choose Abuja and Lagos get sent to neighbouring states because of the huge numbers, last year those that choose Lagos got sent to oyo

this year it will be Ekiti, Osun and ogun

for Abuja overspill; Nassarawa, Niger and i think Bauchi

I hope people at Abuja will let this project see the light of day. Those that don't understand the meaning of tax-free one or export free one ought to learn the meaning before shutting down the Tinapa project.
lol the people in Abuja are also the people from all these places where 'abuja' is deliberately stunting their growth!

Federal government to bail out Tinapa

A lifeline could be on the way for the moribund Tinapa business and leisure project in Calabar, Cross River State, as President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday promised that his administration will not allow the N75 billion shopping complex to rot away.

Addressing PDP presidential campaign rally at the U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar, the president said the project executed by the Donald Duke administration holds a lot of promise for Nigeria’s commerce and tourism that it will be supported totally to reap the fruit of its investment.

NYSC › Re: Is It Wise To Come Back To Do NYSC? by DisGuy: 8:52pm On Mar 08, 2011
They should decentralise the thing, each 'geopolitical' zone should have an NYSC office- i wonder why no one has come up with this, why should it happen in one place and they cant even post the letters back abi what's NIPOST for?

DISTRIBUTION OF CALL-UP LETTERS FOR FOREIGN TRAINED

PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS

You are aware that foreign trained prospective corps members report at the Directorate Headquarters Abuja for both the registration and subsequent collection of the Call-up letters.

2. In line with this Administration’s policy of improving on services delivery to its clients, Management has decided that henceforth, foreign trained prospective corps members are to collect their Call-up letters at the NYSC Secretariat in the State of their domicile.

3. In view of the above, Corps Mobilization Department is now to package the Call-up letters for the foreign trained prospective corps members and deliver to the State Co-ordinators during the process of delivering those of the Nigerian trained prospective Corps members to the Corps Producing Institutions.

4. State Co-ordinators are to ensure that foreign trained prospective Corps members personally collect their Call-up letters on presentation of their International traveling Passport, and other relevant documents and not by proxies. Furthermore, all unclaimed Call-up letters and the comprehensive acknowledgement of receipt showing the signature of the prospective Corps members must be returned to the Director (Corps Mobilization) through Resident Officers at the end of the Orientation.

5. State Co-ordinators are to ensure strict compliance in view of the importance attached to the Call-up letters and the new policy please.

Signed

oncolor:
As long as one of your parents is Nigerian and you already have the Nigerian Passport then automatically you're a Nigerian citizen, you don't need any formal application or paperwork filled out.

To participate in the NYSC, all you need is to pick the batch you want to serve (Batch 'A' or Batch 'B'), get all the required documents as listed on the website   http://www.nysc.gov.ng/forignnysc2011.php  and appear at the NYSC office in Abuja and you are good to go.

"All foreign trained prospective Corps Members who intend to participate in the 2011 Batch A Orientation course must complete registration on or before 25th February 2011.

NO REGISTRATION SHALL TAKE PLACE AFTER 25TH FEBRUARY 2011."

This is for those who intend to enroll for Batch A, since you already missed the deadline for Batch A, wait for Batch B which should be sometime later in the year
you don't have to appear in Abuja any more, you appear in 'your' state and everything is concluded there

thanks so much for quick responses, as a manager in an office, how would you cope with some1 more educationaly qualified than you
why was he employed? there's a reason you are the manager and not him, you have your roles and responsibilities and he was employed for something specific, educational qualification is just that

A good manager make use of resources available to him/her, make good use of your new staff with good education/skills and buy him a drink when he reach his target while you collect bonus in the boardroom cheesy

what if he actually wants to stay in the hotel, he is going with his family
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by DisGuy(mod): 11:36pm On Mar 04, 2011
If you can book a reservation for you and your family then you don't really need an invitation from you friend in the UK, you might add an invitation letter from him (esp if he is comfortable) and maybe include you will be taking care of the accommodation with a hotel reservation

With U.S i think you will need an invitation but you can check with others

you can add the most 'weighty' documents to proof ties to the country you dont need to take everything you own, but jobs/business and relationship -dependants etc

What they should do is fire themselves not compensate anybody lets be honest, Siasia is a sucker for foreign trips I've always said that before he was employed, if they have refused he along with his cronies in the media would have starting throwing their rattle about denying local players 'international exposure' like there's any exposure to be had in far away America

I am open to every topic but people are just pointing out to those issues to score cheap political points like are those the only or main problems affecting Nigeria. Some topics should not be debated if people can keep their heads down and think objectively but because of hatred we want to debate about dwindling excess crude account and foreign reserve. Some questions are not meant for debate but just inquires that you can make to the presidency or the national assembly. Because we don't know our rights, we are putting them up for debate, we should be debating about issues pertaining to our development and growth and not these petty issues.
people on this site can be very hypocritic, every single president has been criticised in fact if the president was to be a northerner there would be anti-gej progej it will all be one way all out cattle rearing banter

now you are coming with this hatred talk like being incompetent is something to be liked! HOW CAN ECONOMIC ISSUES AND SECURITY ISSUES like Jos,boko haram, bombings, kidnapping be petty issues? shocked shocked
Politics › Re: Jonathan camp disagrees with Buhari, Ribadu, Shekarau over debate by DisGuy: 1:35pm On Mar 02, 2011
The PDP demanded that the advance copy of questions be made available to candidates. .
and i am 100% sure he wants them to be asked in specific order so he can crammm the answers word for word

in fact his Phd should be probed like that of the German minister!!

NO WONDER HE HAS NEVER GRANTED ANY INTERVIEW

shouldn't the president or those vying for presidential slot be open to any question on the country? except for maybe defence or security intelligence

govt should not be in the business of keeping suspects 'busy' but prosecuting and locking criminals

this govt under GEJ has kept perceived opponents 'busy' Dokpesi/IBB were kept busy

Judge Salami was kept 'busy'

Former minister of Agriculture is kept busy

the fg should be aiming to prosecute and send people to jail not plea barganing and keeping people busy!

That is one thing that should haunt him for a veeeeery looooong time.Is it out of desperation or ,whatmore principled people would've broken out of ACN and out from under Tinubu's nostrils and tried their luck in another party, some months back he would've been able to win over so many people to his new party, however the way he is acting and talking thesedays leaves much to be desired,so many of his admirers are getting more and more disenchanted with him,if he cannot tame Tinubu, then at least he should stop making foolish statements in public that make him appear foolish
what the same way Jonathan dumped the pdp when they were shouting 'it's the northerner turn' or when turai was locking him out of meetings? list all his foolish statesments and lets compare it with jonathans
when is jonathan coming out of the room with anenih, obj, danjuma, alamaseigh*, accused ibb/dokpesi and the so called cabals?

calling for a presidential debate or a defence of policy is not foolish, avoiding questions by the public through the press or a debate is foolish and shows weakness; and he is covering up that weakness by doling out money left right and centre, pleasing old corrupt brigades in his desperation for votes
