just dont want this thread to be one way ![]() "He has tried. But in my village we still have no water and no power," Yup no power no water everywhere in the country not just katsina Elders say this is partly because the governor is reclusive.theres no point giving people (selected by the elders) okada, bags of rice, cash and other thing like other governors especially when they have not done anything to deserve it! Atleast he/his administration gave out scholarships Civil servants said he was a micro-manager who had ultimate control over what went on in every department. Hmm he probably felt poeple were/have been taking the psss and were geenral not trustworthy enough to be left in charge! thats a good thing dont give out contracts you dont really care about Yar'Adua's record as governor offers a mixed picture. Everyone agrees he has built new roads and added much-needed classrooms to many schools, but critics say his administration has been disappointing in other key areas. hmm like majority of governors in nigeria Almost no irrigation projects have come to fruition, while potable water remains in short supply. Even in the state capital, the taps run dry daily and residents rely on young boys who push carts loaded with jerrycans of water from boreholes. the place is a desert! like most parts of northern nigeria portable water is scarce! theres no point splashing out money just so you can be on NTA for a project that the will stop working the next day The Jibiya dam and reservoir were built more than 15 years ago but not a drop of water flows through the network of cement irrigation canals because there is no fuel to run the pumps. State government officials said the dam was a federal project and therefore it was not up to them to deal with it. But local farmers said the state government should have stepped in. BIG ZERO for Effort! |

WELL you can see it that way but they might just be protecting millions of middle and lower income earners getting your money from a failed bank/stockerbroker/business in nigeria is not an easy task, in most cases you are responsible for everything not legal back up/insurance whatsoever. |

Beisdes, election rigging is the worst and foundation of all corruptions for only through it, do corrupt politicains become leaders. Who will be punished for the fraud called elections? Dr. Chris Ngige of Anambra State ought to have recieved an award from the PDP for a job well done, yet our corruption fighter in the person of OBJ is persecuting him till this day.you said election is the foundation of corruption yet you want Ngige to get an award ![]() Dariye was also part of the system that rigged the elections isnt he? |

Sha, for me, he should make sure the ''thing'' is limited to his cattle-grazing brothers and sisters in the North, because any attempt to bring the scourge to the South will be met with stiff and maximum resistance from everywhere.hehe that is funny, only if people are allowed to make similar comments about Niger deltas, Igbos without causing an uproar on Nairaland ![]() |
you are making it sound like laws in the country dont have loopholes, the loopholes in the nigerian constitution are as big as alamiesigha's stomach!! celemel, prosecuting alamesigha* at this moment is not proper since he has immunity according to the law of the land, right? |
you just have to wait and see, they have until 2008 i think but the big players will definately stay IBTC,Zenith, BGL |
They sound like Gani Fawehinmi, who was once a champion of democracy only for him to turn round and try woefully to scatter and undermine the very democracy which he fought all his life to enthrone. Listen up; no matter how corrupt Dariye, Alamiesigha, Fayose or any other branded corrupt politician is, the due constitutional process for removing him must be followed, if and whenever it becomes necessary to so do.I understand what you are saying about following procedures BUT there are times when new procedures have to be introduced to correct a fault; if that doesnt happen, Alamiesigha and co withe the aid of immunity will probbaly still be in there knowing full well they can cover their tracks and reach some sort of agreement with the speakers. And for God's sake, why was it so crucial to punish and persecute Dariye at the material time that OBJ chose to? Why Dariye? Why not Odili? Why not Attah? Why not Ibori? Why not Nnamani?if/when these people are being prosecuted you will probably dig out some other names afterall them bokun for our country ![]() |
this shows that most of the national Assembly member infact most of the govt officials don't understand the constitution the Nigerian constitution has too many grey areas his tenure is over next month anyway he can collect his pay now ![]() |
