dayokanu:
The man is even retaining OBJ's minister shouldn't OBJ borrow him his brains too? Talking about a man without his own ideas to change his state. He should even retain OBJ as president.
Are you saying he should get rid of all the ministers even though they are obviously getting results?
he will obviously re-shuffle the cabinet but you dont expect anyone to come to power and get rid of everybody
even pat utomi will retain some of the ministers!
Politics › Re: Tinubu Condemn's Yar'adua! by DisGuy: 3:25pm On May 09, 2007
I don't think you should make a point in reference to anybody's family

If Tinubu should leave Badagry, Apapa, Agege, etc and come and focus on Ikoyi and V/I alone, then Lagos would have been better than London.
thats is one of the problem, why should the state governor ignore other areas in his state to concentrate on already built up areas? Those areas have been existing since and are privately well maintained.

Are you saying crime rate in other states are relatively low because the FG pay more attention to them?
the private sector are obviously paying extra for security of their own property and business

well put

Is this news not 'juicy' enough for Nigerian journalists or the policy has little or no meaning to the law makers no cash involved. perhaps they are waiting for someone to die before they react  undecided

Health care - as bad as it may seem now, u don't want to know what it was like before Tinubu came into office. he introduced ambulances a thing that most people of my generation never knew could exist in nigeria and even now only exist in lagos.
have you been to other states at all?

Crime in lagos have sky rocketed!
The only thing saving lagos is the private sector that have been there right from day one!
I hope someone is monitoring the loans the state govt is signing up for

I think the nigerian constitution is still a joke! there are too many grey areas.

I do not fully understand the idea of federalism but if it involves giving more powers to regions/states then this is one of its disadvantages; there'll be situations whereby governors in the name of democracy (the majority right?) implement laws to make political statements to the detriments of the 'others'.

This will obviously be one of the first challenges of the Yaradua government, I hope somebody openly opposes it so that the issue escalates to a National debate. I am not against having muslim schools in any part of the country where people dress like the Sultan if they so wish. But the governor of a state mandating every school student to dress in a particular way is outrageous and those
well said, it seems the senators are just after their allowance and positions as long as their own district is not in the firing line they forget their 'own people' in these states. It will probably take the death of a relative of one of the southern senators to spark a national debate.

Obj is still there, he is not doing anything about this really, it is a good thing they implemented the laws in their states when the serving president is a christain.

At the same time, i wonder who really is retarded. Their stone throwing asses, or we cowardly southerners for letting them climb over us.

tlops:
the answer is was he able to change katsina in 8 years, what ever your answer is will give u a clue to whether he'll change nigeria. if u could not change a state how much difference will he make in a nation, especially where there is a god father who does not want a change.
the only thing we know about katsina now is yaradua, we dont know what it was like before he got there, how do we know if something has changed without knowing what it was like before?
