I'm the one who listens to such songs. I'm the one who follows Craig David on social media and constantly writes about him on my Facebook and Twitter handles with evidence I can show. I'm the one who celebrates his album anniversaries online just as I would again this July. I'm the one marinated in such music. And I'm the one telling you CAPital F.E.M.I does music as good as Joe. Same vocals, actually. Like Praiz, you lot have forced him to adulterate his craft just as Tems would eventually have done if not for her breakthrough abroad.

You can justify shitty taste in music. Many people do everyday. But shitty taste in music or the arts is still exactly what it is - shitty, and I've been saying it for years. Don't worry, you're not the first person to get pissed off with me for pointing out the obvious in the last one month even. I could take Johnny Drille's 2016 to 2018 discography lost at sea and I'd still feel connected to humanity.

Quality music mentally stimulates, and because it has great replay value, you are constantly mentally/intellectually stimulated.

If you are a remote worker especially, relocate to Uyo. It's:

1. Safer and more secure than most cities. The safest in Nigeria for years. It's cleaner too.

2. It has better road networks and good inter-city and street roads so you're never stuck in traffic.

3. It's a tourist city, 1 hour drive from the Atlantic coast of Eket, Ibeno and Ikot Abasi, 1 hour 30 minutes drive from Port Harcourt. 2 hours drive from Aba.

4. Several parts of Uyo enjoy 20 hours of power supply daily. Don't take my word for it: Confirm yourself.

5. Uyo is third only to Lagos and Abuja for tech talents. Every weekend there's a tech event and tech workstations all over to network and work.

I could go on and on. It's a no-brainer if you want a serene environment.

Again, most Nigerians have shitty taste in music. Shitty lyrics with low replay value. Most of the artistes on the said list make songs which sound shittier with with every listen, and by the third month of release, they sound irritating.

Take just about any song by Bez, Johnny Drille, Tems or Nonso Amadi made ten years ago and you could listen to them all day. I've got a playlist of all first three artistes all week playing as I worked and I still can't get enough. All songs made 7 years ago or older.

You mostly have shitty taste in music if Rema and Shallipopi get a lot of streams than quality artistes.

Couldn't play basketball because we were small as kids so tennis it was. Either AbdulRahman, Onyebuchi or myself came with a tennis ball. Then we improvised rackets with planks and that way we stayed clean too. If we got lucky and the adults were around, we had access to rackets. Only a few times.

Abdulrahman was even teaching me how to write in Arabic at some point and I could identify some words even.

Since he was my best friend, I'd wait with him to say his prayers at the mosque close to our school so we'd go play 'Police and Thieves with the others' between 2:00PM and 2:30PM when we had extra classes after regular school time, and he'd sometimes come with us to a Pentecostal church close by so we'd play lawn tennis from 4:00PM after our extra lessons ended till like 5:30PM when his family driver came to pick him and his sister home. And our folks took us home.

That's why I do not agree with the lumping of South West Muslims with Muslims in the North. You need to have been born in or spent your formative years in the South West of Nigeria to know they are a moderate breed who aren't obsessed with religion. Well, it was my experience.

In my state, all 12 LGAs in my Senatorial District are oil and gas producing communities and have oil companies operating there. Ikot Ekpene and Uyo LGAs, for example, in other Senatorial Districts are not exactly oil producing communities (they somewhat enjoy the trickle down benefits like jobs e.t.c though).
