EmmanuelScott1:That's not even the point. Let those who lived in Lagos counter anything I have stated about Tinubu's reign as Governor. Point for point. They can only fool those who don't know. Now they have retreated to "He laid the foundation for others". Oh! I thought they claimed Lagos was an El Dorado under Tinubu and he built the modern Lagos? They must mention specific Tinubu's achievements in Lagos as Governor. No gimmicks. I'm just a mention away. They can't fool everyone. I'm here to burst the lies. |
ShaqFu:Forget that "laid the foundation" hogwash they peddle here. Tinubu claimed he built the modern Lagos. Now since you lived in Lagos then, which area did Tinubu excel? Don't give me that "he did" well. Break it down like I did in different areas showing where he failed. Let's begin with roads. Then other infrastructure. Then security. And so on. No blanket statements. Ready? Let's go! ![]() |
diggz:I understand you were raised as Hot dog so every living thing is a bitch to you. And you were raised amongst bitches. Even Tinubu, his ill-health regardless, has more presence of mind than you. You don't even remember your own comments. diggz:You pitched your tent as protest vote. Votes for Buhari in 2015 and Atiku in 2019 were mostly protest votes but votes regardless. Drink responsibly. And if you must do, don't drink and type. Now run along so I focus on more important issues. An argument with you can kill more braincells than Nkechi Blessing's movies. |
diggz:The low-I.Qed dingbat claimed he's supporting Sowore weeks ago but came out of the blues to defend Tinubu last night. The dumbo is so unaware none of the candidates has attacked and mocked Tinubu half as much as Sowore has. And Sowore himself is questioning BAT's supposed legacy as Governor of Lagos. Even Peter Obi and Atiku haven't done so. A supposed staunch Sowore supporter trying to thwart an exposure of Tinubu's reign as governor? Do you even have anything ypu believe in? You are even more of a nihilist than Nihilist - you should swap monikers with him as you deserve it more. But when the only response you have to debates is "Bro, rest abeg!", who expects any intelligence response and sociopolitical awareness? Stay on the sidelines. Your I.Q. betters are discussing/arguing/debating national issues. |
diggz:You can't debate. It's like Portable sliding into a debate about human evolutionary trends. How in the zazuu would that work? There's no debate you've come out tops on this thread. You have no solid opinion on political projections as you keep going back and forth. Your debate on Delta ethnicities (your own state) got you exposed as having crèche-level socio-awareness. You'd serve more purpose remaining on the sidelines while people in the know debate about issues clearly beyond you. Again, did you live in Lagos under Tinubu and can you defend him on infrastructure and other areas? That's the point. Doornail-I.Qed dingbat! |
A001:Fashola is the man. He'd always be in most people's eyes, including mine. Tinubu was shit. Only AllAfrica Stories which is now allafrica[dot]com was around to document his failure as Governor as an online media. Tinubu failed! Lagos was a cesspit for most parts. Mention which part of Lagos wasn't dirty under Tinubu. Even Maryland was dirty. Ajah was constantly flooded for most parts. From TollGate beside the then Gateway Hotel on the boundary between Ogun and Lagos to the very end of that road, including Meiran and others had the worst roads ever. Not pot holes but gullies. The infamous traffic then in Lagos was mostly due to terrible roads. Even Lekki truly developed under Fashola. Agberos reigned supreme all over Lagos. OPC were more powerful than the Police. And the OPC were rogues who were complicit in the crimes, ritual killings too. Fashola tamed them to an extent. From late August was a scary period we all knew as "Ember Months". Other days were ritual killings or missing persons. Failed in infrastructure development, in security, in preventing constant heavy clashes. What exactly did Tinubu achieve as Governor? Heck! Nkan Nbé and Lábe Orun were weekly programmes dedicated to these ritual killings and underworldly activities. Lagos was the major crime scene for these programmes. You can only fóol those who don't know. |
diggz:Cry me a river, contradictory dumbo who doesn't know where he stands on important sociopolitical issues and all his past lost contradict his stances. If you can't debate Tinubu's time as Governor or didn't live there while he reigned, do a Jimmy Jatt - jump off! ![]() |
Particularly, under Tinubu ethnic clashes were very common. Especially by the OPC. Hausa-Fulani clashes, against Igbos, even against Akwa Ibomites so much so the infamous "Ekpe Ikpo Ukod" bloodthirsty masquerade got released at Ikeja, and Obasanjo had to step in with his then friend, Gov. Victor Attah of Akwa Ibom. Lagos was also not secure. Robberies, ritual killings... Fashola reduced that. Gbenga Daniel and Osoba had more peaceful reigns in neighbouring Ogun State. You can only deceive those who didn't live there. |
Tinubu didn't perform well as Governor. Anyone who lived in Lagos during Tinubu's tenure as Governor wouldn't even dare counter me. Abule Egba to Ketu to Mieran road was a cesspit. Oshodi under Tinubu wqs so disgusting even Aba of today pales in comparison. You can only fool those who didn't live in Lagos. Don't get me started on state-backed criminals who wrecked havoc unchecked. OPC was the IPOB of now under Tinubu, maiming and killing. Only Fashola cleaned Lagos after him. So much he should have even had a thief term. Don't brag about Lagos under Tinubu if you didn't live there then. |
Unknown gunmen kidnapped a soldier and are preparing to béhéad her yet exactly 14 days 20 hours ago, you made this comment below.
Buhari has not been much worse than Jonathan
|
OasisX:What concerns Peter Obi with killings in the South East even though he hasn't held any representative position since 2014? So, we agree. Peter Obi is responsible for every evil happening n the country. We have no time defending but accepting every such accusation of terror. The cynicism would help you see the foolhardiness in your accusations of terrorism labeled against Obi and his supporters. By the way, Peter Obi and Obidients are also responsible for the killings in Southern Kaduna this week and the Kogi students kidnapped in Ondo days ago. Peter Obi also gaslighted the victims of Fulani herdsmen by asking "Where are the cows?' |
OasisX:You've always tied Peter Obi and his supporters to IPOB's criminal activities. So, he's right. Did Peter Obi set off the bomb in Okene today? Gaslighting doesn't work on everyone. OasisX: |
olamidedivotee:Crazy? Yes. But you cheered on in awe when The Undertaker arrived in coffins on WWE for years. |
kennethfranc:That's the problem - most YouTube tutorials wouldn't explain in detail. With the actual text courses, it'd take you through the process and how to navigate errors with pictures before pointing you to a video. If you're learning Bootstrap via YouTube, for example, you'd miss concepts but when you learn with the text-based courses, the videos are icings on your cake. But you need a cake first - the concepts. |
kennethfranc:Actually, Sololearn (on web / mobile) would help him with JavaScript as there are exercises for each lesson. Next is W3Schools. Best learning platform with great UI unlike Freecodecamp. And W3Schools courses are ALWAYS updated. That's the only e-course platform with a standard Bootstrap 5 course even; others stop at 4, for example. |
Nezzjnr:The fact that the founders and techies who are scaling brands and getting recognition are mostly web devs is all the answer you need. Doubt me? Just search Y-Combinator or MicroAcquire to dig into the backgrounds of the technical founders/co-founders. And web development incorporates data analysis - a subset of some sort. Even sorting SQL is data analysis. PHP frameworks too. A full-stack web developer knows data analysis, but a data analyst doesn't know web dev. |
izzou:Not true. Marketing is actually your greatest skill as a digital professional. Great communication skills too. To get gigs/jobs quickly, do web development but have competitive advantage by adding SEO and graphic design. Even UI and web content writing. Give discounts for the 4-in-1 service package and brands would go for it. You either focus on developing and managing brands like I do with digital skills or work for companies offering specific web dev skills. Focus on the in-demand skills. You're more likely to walk into any office this morning and walk away with #350,000 or #500,000 for a basic website than get a data analysis gig before this week ends. You'd get more if you reach out to bigger brands and those outside the country. Learn how to market and you'd get gigs. A001:Correct! |
Theflint1:This is not a poll. Even ThisDay didn't call it a poll but an analysis based on their own "Explainer Center" as stated in the 5th paragraph of the articule. "This latest development follow a recent THISDAY poll – The Explainer – released by the THISDAY 2023 Election Centre, where a breakdown of the new realities is advanced, with implications for each candidate." It's the same way The Nation Newspaper has done its own analysis saying Tinubu would win. Just permutations. At no point in the article did it mention a poll or any such statistics. Ignore it. |
Donjazet2:Trump, like Obi in many ways embodied and idea. Trump wasn't was even the classic Right Wing guy. He never fit in as that. Being anti-Woke and bluntly stating the facts helped too. Who wouldn't root for a man who says, "My country first before others"? How would one be hating Obama and praising Trump of all people.I judged Obama harshly from the perspective of a resident on the African continent ans I stated it several times. The people of Southern Kaduna would judge El Rufai harshly based on the terror his reign brought even though he's done well in many areas of infrastuctual development. Here's one of the reasons you shouldn't support Obama as a Nigerian/ African: DissTroy:------- When it comes to abortion, I think that should rest solely on the mother's choice. Raising a child is a lifelong responsibility and commitment. Forcing people to have kids is how we end up having criminals and sexual molesters in the society. No, because: 1. A man would be forced to take responsibility for the child even if he wanted it or not so his decision about the termination or not has to be taken into consideration as Kong as it's consensual sex. 2. Just because you can kill it doesn't give you the right to. There are contraceptives and unless conditions like the mother's or baby's life being threatened are there, or she was ráped, you have no right to take another life because you can. Needless infanticide is what it is. |
Donjazet2:Even those on the American Politics thread would tell you I'm more of a moderate but I lean Right because many things on the Left are nauseating. -I am anti-Woke. - I dislike over-concentration on Identity Politics (oddly, Raum plays Identity Politics when it comes to Nigeria as he's very tribal and hateful but kicks against it in American politics). - I believe there are only 2 genders. - male and female. - Transgenders are particularly failed men who want the sociocultural benefits of women along with the bilogical benefits of men. Nature thieves. - I' don't believe in crass infanticide just because you can when the mother or baby's life isn't threatened, or it isn't a product of coerced sex. - I am against the feminisation of men and Leftist influencers like James Cameron calling testosterone a disease which must be eradicated. - I'm against failed men who crossdress stealing women's place in the world; Or Caitlyn Jenner, a bodybuilding man, being nominated as Woman of The Year because he crossdresses. |
News: Sheik Gumi: "Bandits are our people. Vote people who won't fight them" https://dailytimesng.com/sheikh-gumi-bandits-are-our-people-vote-leaders-who-wont-fight-them/ Also, Sheik Gumi is an ally of APC VP candidate, Shettima, and praised and defended Shettima's emergence as VP to Tinubu: https://dailypost.ng/2022/07/12/shettima-nothing-wrong-with-tinubus-choice-gumi-reveals-reason-for-muslim-muslim-ticket/ Make of this what is obvious. |
DissTroy:This also happened and right on schedule. The media was playing catch-up by the time it was made public. If only the doubters realise Obi is a representation of a well-planned movement way bigger than him, they'd realise the shots they take at him are ineffectual. You always wanted a Third Force to challenge the APC and PDP; well, this is it. You have no excuse to not get involved and vote. |
Instead of seeking treatment for your erectile dysfunction and low libido, you're trying to scare men who can go very long between the sheets and beneath dimmed lights who don't have to use aphrodisiacs or abuse substances to get it on. Insecure men projecting their insecurities to feel good about themselves. |
Donjazet2:LOL. One thing I have learnt to do is just state facts and let time reveal it to doubters. Falana was a part of that Third Force too. Kwankwaso also. But I stated why he left. March 29, before the primaries or Obi even threw his hat in the ring: DissTroy:I stated this also in early July before there was any rally for Obi or even a team. May 10, before the Primaries: DissTroy:The man who facilitated this is high-ranking and knows I am on Nairaland and we frequently discuss. He's running for office too on the platform of another party but it's Obi or nothing for him. Time always proves me right. ![]() DissTroy:I'd rather not reveal more. |
"I am 30 years old and have dated countless ladies..." A 30-year-old but you've dated COUNTLESS ladies? Red flag! Even men should have a limited body count. Only a dog would sleep with just about any will bîtch. |
diggz:Maybe. But you couldn't even influence yourself to vote in previous elections, especially in 2015 when all was on the line. You also called the Sowore you claimed you'd vote for in 2023 a clown in 2019 even though Sowore hasn't behaved differently in 4 years or changed his talking points. This was you in 2019 on the eve of the elections: diggz:You have no convictions about the elections but you'd jump in the mix because being seen to dislike Peter Obi makes you acceptable amongst your supposed friends here. You were never going to vote anyway. Quit with the posturing and playing to the gallery. ![]() |
Amoto94:Until I promoted that guy here and how some Northern youths are seeking advancement through tech, you did nothing about it. This thread is the de facto ongoing intra-country sociopolitical thread on this forum since June but you've spent more time defending barbaric policies and dehumanising treatments like punishment for blasphemy instead of pushing positive narratives about the North. Don't blame the Southern press - social media has no tribe or region. Sell yourselves well and we'd buy the narratives you prefer. |
diggz:You were never ever concerned about voting anyway. What's the point counting an egg which was never laid? ![]() diggz: |
I stumbled on this Hausa-Fulani(?) lad on Facebook an hour ago. He's a student of ABU, Zaira and he's a web programmer and programming advocate. I've been skmming through his profile. Scrolled through and his seems focused on frontend development and cybersecurity. For a region tagged with every negative name there is and supposed backwardness, these are the shinning lights we want to see. Lads like this are the new face of Northern Nigeria youths the whole world should know and I'm surprised he hasn't gotten any boost. This is the Nigeria I look forward to, with access to digitisation and learning it shaping our collective future. And that's why I'm rooting for the candidate who's less likely to keep the youth servile. Peter Obi is that candidate for me. And I hope the candidate you're rooting for in your hearts of hearts has the youth at heart instead of telling us we're too young to take control of our destinies. ---- I have no issue with promoting another web developer so this is his profile: https://www.facebook.com/zubairu.saeed.4 . We haven't conversed but if you can get him to link up with a prominent person from the North, do it. He can be the face of any forward-thinking campaign focused on youths.

BlueRayDick:That's the point - Wike's hold on what happens in dark alleys and the money he makes available to them. Atiku can't fund the PDP in Cross Rivers. Southern Presidency is also a good song to sing which would appeal to them. The good thing is, he has their (Cross River's) main neighbour on his side through Ortom. Cross River is also controlled by Ibibio-Efiks (most who are actually of Akwa Ibom extraction) who align with Wike's politics and talking points. It's almost impossible to put any major politician from Rivers on a leash. If you couldn't restrain Amaechi, you certainly can't do so to Wike. |
BlueRayDick:If you know anything about Wike right from when he was Odili's PA to being Obio Akpor LGA Chairman and now, you'd know his influence reaches far beyond Rivers and into the creeks. Whatever relative peace we have in the Niger Delta creeks is due to Wike's minions being calm. Ask yourself why the usual garrulous Asari Dokubo and Tompolo have turned a blind eye to Wike's antics and when they speak, they never go against him? Wike's network can hold the country to a standstill economically and the major players know this. Let's all just enjoy the relative peace in the Niger Delta creeks. Try to witchhunt Wike and you'd see what happens. The other ND governors are gentlemen who were gift political offices - Wike gifted others, even governors in his state. |
