Nigerian politicians and governors are so used to stealing and leaving debt for the incumbents that it has become normal. So normal Tinubu thinks Obi saving money as Governor for the state is an anomaly and is attacking him for it. Like "Why did you save money when the culture is to waste it?" The nerve! |
"If it is" and "It certainly is" are two different phrases. I predicted those of you Tinubuists who were relatively inactive or dormant all through yesterday when you had nothing to defend with would come out of the woodworks within minutes to latch on to Nihilist's sly comment. And you did! From the debate being about why it's such a crime for many of you that a president should come from a particular extraction even if he has the best credentials and the least baggage to a concocted attempt at equaling Obi with Tinubu based on some.entitled agenda to govern 200 million people. Just like that within 10 hours. I see it for what it really is. It remains for Oasis to quote it 70 times with "Mi o no so nkan'kan" with 6 billion emojis and the troupe is complete. |
larride:The point after all! Thank you for making my point! For Tinubu, there's no "if", it's a certainty that it's the Yoruba's point. That was his rallying cry and why many kicked against it. The Yoruba lokan quip has been dissected a thousand times in the media and Tinubuists have admitted he said Yoruba lokan. He said it in Ogun and at the Alaafin's palace in Oyo. Thank you. |
larride:The joke is on you. I made this statement deliberately to forestall excuses like the one you just gave. Yoruba was my second language before I learnt my native Ibibio in my teens. disstroyy:Tinubu said on video "Yoruba lo kan" which is, it is Yoruba's turn and his entourage echoed yes, then he went on with, in Yorubaland, "Emi lokan". This isn't reported speech but what he said in an audiovisual. |
monerozi5590:Many Obi supporters were all rooting for Osinbajo. Obi isn't a tribal candidate but represents a disgruntle with the Establishment. I can easily give you Facebook names of very high-profile APCists and Osinbajo supporters who switched support to Obi publicly. Many Yoruba themselves. Very easy. Tinubu is old, sickly, of questionable history... These muddy-waters never want to debate about that but focus on inanities. |
DissTroy:I told you so! Less than 20 minutes and it's begun. ![]() |
Unlimited22:And that's the reason why these folks get it over you lot. They take a statement, form a question out of it then answer it for you. Hoping to drown you out with a barrage of quotes filled with humorous one-liners and they tire you out, coasting away with a perspective victory since you gassed out. This is how online debates are played and shaped. ...Not when I am ready to match it quote for quote and tactics for tactics. |
Predictably, the absentee Laride, Oasis, Recy and the others would appear to latch on to a seeming lifeline and muddy the waters while ignoring the questions about Tinubu's right to think: -It's his turn and that's final; - Or why he should still be on the ballot with a questionable educational and familial background; - Or why he's still in the race with a drug- trafficking tag. Watch them come out of the digital woodworks now to quote Nihilist's false representation of what Obi reportedly said all day to drown out every other argument. |
nihilistjnr:That's a lie. The thread is still fresh on front page. Copy and paste it here with the bolded sections just as it is there. He said "IF [not is is, mind you] it were turn by turn, as an Igbo man it is my turn [not in Igbo land it is my turn but if it is then it should be Igbos], but I am not running as an Igbo candidate but a Nigerian . You were looking for an opportunity to give a soft landing to your buddy Raum's outing as an unhinged tribalist (not just one responding to personal insults to his tribe) so you evaded until you got a seeming opening this morning. It won't fly. Obi said he's running as a Nigerian, not as an Igbo man. |
nihilistjnr: nihilistjnr:You are being mischievous. “If the President is to be given by whose turn it is, as an Igbo it’s my turn but I am in the race as a Nigerian wishing to be hired based on my track record, competence and capacity. ” https://www.nairaland.com/7517750/peter-obi-presidency-turn-it If it is by turn, the South East should have it as every other region has had it. But it is not by turn because he is in the race as a Nigerian and his tribe doesn't matter. And he's right. Tribe shouldn't matter. We need a Nigerian president. Now compare that to Tinubu on live video saying it's the Yoruba's turn and that's final. And doubling down on it. Or during a presidential/APC rally in Lagos where the Deputy Governor of Lagos endorsed Tinubu and asked Peter Obi to go back to Anambra and leave Lagos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2qrJ0N1kfk |
Theflint1:Tinubu has and is playing a tribal card. He's the only one of the candidates who campaigned with a tribal card during the primaries. He said "Yoruba lokan" and narrowed it down to in Yorubaland, "Emi lokan". He used it as a rallying cry, even at the Alaafin's Place. Verify this. He said same in Ogun State. That's the period he also called the Ogun Governor " Eleyi". Google or local-search " Yoruba lokan" on Twitter and Facebook. All the proponents are Tinubuists. Most of us don't care where the president is from. Most of the educated ones at least. I do not believe in South East, South South, Yoruba or Northern presidency. It just so happens that the best person for the job is Peter Obi who's from the South East. If Osinbajo were on the ballot like Obi, there'd be no need to rally with tribal sentiments like Tinubu is doing because he's sellable. |
Emaprince:Don't waste your time. It has nothing to do with Obi. It's about Obi's tribe. For the likes of Laride and Oasis, it's just support for Tinubu and the APC. For Raum, it's seething hatred for anyone of Igbo extraction to be president. He has no problem with any other person being GCFR, as long as it's not an Igbo person. Even if Jesus came down to earth to contest as Jesusdinma, he'd rather vote the Devil. He has stated his repulsion to a president of Igbo extraction several times. I have quoted same of him countless times and even yesterday here. He's even boasted that any form of complaint by the South East about poor representation at the center should be met with military force quashing them. I don't care that he and DonJazet have a running war but I stopped taking his comments against Obi at face value when I got prompted to dig into him. Unlike others, he doesn't just troll or respond to tribal trolls, he initiates hateful tribal diatribes, even bordering on genocide a few times. None of the other Tinubuists here has been that hateful, save for Amoto 5 years ago.And Amoto's seems like a one-off. For Raum, it's been an every week thing for 17 years. He won't dare accuse me of settling old scores with him because we barely have any interactive history. That's why he never responds when I expose him. He wouldn't. 2006 to 2023 of wishing a tribe the worst fate possible every week even when it's not election season isn't a phase - it's who he is. |
ShaqFu:Joe! Joe! You're a jolly fellow anyway. You just have a penchant for justifying what shouldn't be, even when it defies logic in sociopolitics. But relatively rational and more open-minded when it's a religious discourse. |
Ebukacute:In Lagos. The truth? Shaqfu doesn't really like beer. He prefers ogogoro . Mama Mutiu is his plug; plus he goes there to feel the pulse of the city by arguing with okada riders by 4:30AM. Ogogoro and roots of any kind. By the time he replies your comment by 6:00AM, he's far gone. Think WizKid's "Manya". When he's sober, he could be logical. Problem is, one can't exactly predict what time of the day he'd be sober. |
ShaqFu:Like that's thw first untarred VILLAGE road in Nigeria. Anyone who knew you from back then till now knows you pester with needless and baseless questions, and argue only for the sake of it. You never seek to make sense or arrive at a logical conclusion. Just round and round. Lézz, Créamish, Mîmzzy and others can confirm this. That's why the only time I respond to you during and argument is ONLY to point out your hypocrisy. But seek to have any sort of logical debate with you? Waste of of time. -- By the way, have you stopped getting drunk at Mama Mutiu's shop and staggering into gutters by 11PM? |
izzou:Remember the APC stalwart on Twitter who claimed Innosson Vehicles supplied substandard vehicles to his father just to spite Obi who is credited for boosting Innoson Vehicles? Dude deactivated and has left social media since then since he couldn't prove anything. Shaqfu has never tasted those beer brands he mentioned. All you have to do is local-search his Joe moniker to the Ashawo thread and you'd realise he has claimed he drinks only certain brands of beer. Never mentioned the Life and Hero beers he's claiming he drinks now. He'd kill any brand even remotely associated with Obi to spite him. The only reason he hasn't claim Odogwu Bitters owned by Obi Cubana is poisonous is because Cubana hasn't openly campaigned for Obi and is rumoured to support Tinubu. |
Roland17:Look no further. DissTróy has got you covered. ![]() raumdeuter:Your guess is as good as mine. |
joseph1832:Shaqfu, the irony that you ended up voting that old Buhari twice in his 70's. And you're campaigning for Tinubu a sickly cognitively-impaired man, who's even older to be President. The irony! |
ShaqFu:Joes, where is your conscience? This was still you criticising Jonathan and attacking anyone who made any excuse for him. But you've been making excuses for Buhari. joseph1832: |
Joe, stop lying. You don't spend your Christmas and New Year in the South East. You spend them in Lagos and the Middle Belt where you worked for a number of years. And in beer parlours drinking with one of your legs on the table. You and I know this. Stop lying. |
ShaqFu:The group responsible for the Edo train attacks and kidnap this week are Fulani Herdsmen. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2023/01/08/suspected-herdsmen-attack-train-station-kidnap-passengers-in-edo/ Fulani Herdsmen have been listed by the CIA in the top 4 most dangerous terror groups in the world. Shameless hypocrite! |
ShaqFu:This was you in 2015 blaming Jonathan for Chibok girls kidnapping but never blaming the state governor. Now you want us to blame Obaseki for not securing a federal organisation while absolving Buhari? joseph1832:Shameless hypocrite! |
ShaqFu:Nonsense! Anybody can googke those keywords to get the links and that's why I added dates so they don't mistake them but you will always find outlets to evade when you are caught. Always muddying the waters in arguments, hoping to tire the other person out by asking baseless questions while evading answers. Would you deactivate your account if I provide links to each of them? Answer this and you'd get links. I opened all the pages down because I preempted you. ![]() |
ShaqFu:In 2021 ans 2022 alone ? Several! Riots in Lagos since EndSARS. March 21, 2021 Muslims riot over blasphemy in Mile 12. Many injured. Properties torched and destroyed. April, 2021 Hausa - Yoruba riot. Between Hausa-Falani and MC Oluomo's boys (who is a Tinubu henchman and controls all thugs for Tinubu). October 2021 3 shot dead as NURTW/ MC Oluomo clash in Lagos. September 2022 NURTW/ Agberos riot October 2022 Alaba Riot which was an intertribal riot of Tinubu's Agberos targeting traders. January 2023 Yoruba Nation separatists and OPC riot. 2 dead, many injured. Clash still ongoing. If you want 3 news website links for each riot and mayhem, I'd hive you. Bit for doubting me, you'd have to deactivate your account first. |
ShaqFu:Complete nonsense! Was Jonathan the state governor of Borno when Chibok girls were kidnapped? You didn't blame the state governor then but blamed Jonathan. You want me to dig up your comments over the years blaming Jonathan for Chibok but not blaming the state governor who incidentally is now the APC VP candidate? Now you want us to blame Obaseki and exempt Buhari? Truly Tinubuists/Buharists are brainless! |
ShaqFu:You should be more concerned terrorists bombed the train station in your home state of Edo this week, killed 24 persons and kidnapped many more, including the station manager all happening under the Buhari administration you support and whose legacy Tinubu your candidate has vowed to continue. But you've not uttered or posted a word about it, played blind, and you're more focused on Peter Obi who left office 9 years ago before Buhari and hasn't been in or been involved in governance since then. Get your priorities right! Your candidate wants to continue Buhari's legacy of wanton killings, unrest and a weak economy. You have to moral right to question anyone. |
November 4, 2022. raumdeuter:OasisX, you lot want to blame Obi for Anambra's shortcominhs 9 years after leaving office but want to exempt Tinubu from the rot, killings and mayhem in Lagos. Or EndSARS massacre? Keep the same hateful energy. Don't change now! |
OasisX:Yoruba Nation agitators are not Tinubu's agberos but you lot have linked Obi to IPOB a thousand times and over ob this thread. Make it make sense. All on has to do is local-search "Obi IPOB" on this thread and in this Subsection. Tinubu has also been recorded saying he doesn't believe in One Nigeria. This part can't be disputed. |
If not that I insistently exposed Amoto94's routine whenever he's under the spotlight for murderous fanaticism, like clockwork, he'd have copied and pasted a snake-skin-dehyding job in Zamfara this morning and act like all is well. Completely ignoring the genocide he fantasizes about. Or posted some random transfer news out of the blues on the Chelsea thread immediately. |
Tataffo:Wat... Amoto94 isn't just a murderous religious fanatic but a genocide-monger? Amoto94:So he's Shekau-lite and Afro-Nazi? |
