Time to harmonise the figures then and make the usual constitutional amendments. |
- A pro-Buhari organisation has called for the withdrawal of the Bishop of Sokoto diocese from the National peace committee - The organisation accused Bishop Mathew Kukah of partisanship by alleged display of support for PDP's presidential candidate - BMO's request followed a recent meeting between former president Olusegun Obasanjo and Atiku Abubakar The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has called for the withdrawal of the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Reverend Matthew Kukah from the National Peace Committee led by former Head of State, General Abdulsalam Abubakar. The organisation made the call in a statement issued by its chairman Niyi Akinsiju and secretary Cassidy Madueke on Tuesday, October 16, in Abuja. The group said the call had become necessary because of Kukah’s alleged open display of support for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. It noted that the Abdulsalam Abubakar-led committee was one that should be seen to be non partisan because of the role it was meant to play in the run-up to the 2015 general elections. “We are surprised, like many Nigerians, to see Bishop Kukah in the company of the opposition candidate at a reconciliation meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo,” the group said. It recalled that Kukah had later on claimed to be the strategic mind behind the reconciliation which was targeted at bringing the two parties together to fight President Buhari administration. “This is not expected of a clergyman who is seen in some quarters as the alternate head of the National Peace Committee. “He has shown his bias and as such cannot be trusted to be non-partisan,” the group stressed. It dismissed claims by the Catholic Bishop that he was not aware of the political nature of the gathering as tales that no one would believe. According to the group, Kukah is the key figure behind the reconciliation, a step he took knowing that Atiku was a PDP presidential aspirant. “And if it is true that Bishop Kukah is insisting that he was only exercising his right to free movement. “We are also demanding that having shown his hand, he has no reason to sit on a panel that is meant to be non-partisan,” the group maintained. It added that it fully supports President Buhari’s admonition that religious leaders abstain from partisan politics. Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Bishop Kukah had denied endorsing Atiku Abubakar. The bishop also explained his role in the October 11 meeting in Abeokuta that ended in the historic reconciliation of former president Olusegun Obasanjo and his former deputy, Atiku Abubakar. Bishop Kukah said he only facilitated reconciliation between the two men. He also claimed that he was not part of the event which saw Obasanjo endorse Abubakar for the 2019 presidential election. https://www.naija.ng/1198625-atiku-obj-meeting-bmo-seeks-kukahs-withdrawal-national-peace-cttee.html |

![]() If the dad is aware that Christianity and Islam are related and in the Quran Jesus is regarded as a prophet of Allah just as prophet Mohammed is, then why all these hatred for Christians up to the extent of banning your daughter from having anything to do with a christian? Honestly I don't understand this problem at all that has been put in place by some leaders of the past with selfish and ulterior motives. At least she isn't mingling with an atheist or pagan now. |
stealing even inside the house of God self. Chai, no respect at all. |
Chai, so the mattress pushed you down and broke your spinal cord abi? |
Lol Every man has his own plans and ulterior motives. Even Mr Tinubu has plans to replace Mr LIFELESS someday. |
Trouble in Paradise. Wike, what is your real age? Where are the genuine copies of your certificates? Oya show them make Mr Lifeless shame. |
Lol This guy just couldn't wait to be governor. He must have learnt from his master's mistake, Buhari, by hitting the ground running. When Buhari was sworn in as president in 2015, he hit the ground and crash landed and was revived to begin at a snail's speed only to end up assuming a horrible nick name, "LIFELESS". We hope Fayemi does better than his predecessor, Mr Fayose, by ensuring that the dividends of democracy gets to the masses, the poor people at the grassroot and to all the good people of Ekiti state. |
Abeg go sleep Here goes another promise again dear Nairalanders. Before you scream sai Baba, the news reads NLNG Train 7 WILL BE DONE............ When shall it commence? What happened to all other Promises? Say no to any INCONCLUSIVE PROMISES. Let's ATIKULATE TOGETHER TO MAKE PROJECT NIGERIA MOVE FORWARD ONCE MORE.

Bill Gates says he is "heartbroken" by the death of his Microsoft cofounder, Paul Allen. Gates said Allen helped change the world with the creation of the personal computer. Bill Gates says he is "heartbroken" by the death of his childhood friend and Microsoft cofounder, Paul Allen. Allen, who owned the NFL's Seattle Seahawks and the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers, died Monday afternoon after a battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, his family confirmed to Business Insider. He was 65. Gates said Allen helped change the world with the creation of the personal computer. He added that Allen's life was marked by a "second act" in which he attempted to improve the lives of people in Seattle, where he was from, and others around the globe. Gates' statement, which was carried by CNBC and The Washington Post among others, is copied below in full: "I am heartbroken by the passing of one of my oldest and dearest friends, Paul Allen. From our early days together at Lakeside School, through our partnership in the creation of Microsoft, to some of our joint philanthropic projects over the years, Paul was a true partner and dear friend. Personal computing would not have existed without him. "But Paul wasn't content with starting one company. He channeled his intellect and compassion into a second act focused on improving people's lives and strengthening communities in Seattle and around the world. He was fond of saying, 'If it has the potential to do good, then we should do it.' That's the kind of person he was. "Paul loved life and those around him, and we all cherished him in return. He deserved much more time, but his contributions to the world of technology and philanthropy will live on for generations to come. I will miss him tremendously." https://www.pulse.com.gh/bi/tech/bill-gates-says-hes-heartbroken-by-the-death-of-his-microsoft-cofounder-in-an-emotional-statement-id8982786.html

Na wao Now tell me, who armed those youth and for what purpose? Where are the security personnels? |
Hmmm Anymore promises from Mr. Lifeless gives me tremendous amount of palpitations and loss of faith in him and his ruling party. Before he assumed power, he made a lot of promises and made our hearts to swell with the joy that we are finally going to have a leader that is truly on the side of the masses, the common man. After over 3 solid years on the throne as president, our hopes, dreams and aspirations were not only lost, but shattered as well due to the lifeless state of the nation today. We realized that we have been conned, scammed, tricked, deceived and disappointed by a LIFELESS leader who BELONGS TO NOBODY BUT BELONGS TO EVERY NORTHERNER. I have withnessed a leadership that is filled with vile for members of the opposition party. Even though we are in a democratic dispensation, Mr Lifeless has severally disobeyed court orders by restraining and detaining civilians who have not been convicted by any law court. This makes me wonder if we are being ruled by a dictator as president. WHEN MR LIFELESS SAYS He will make Nigeria to be "LIVEABLE" again, the reverse will surely be the case if we give him another chance to continue from where he stopped. |
IamAtikulate:Thanks a million |
samysmoothfresh:Hahahaha No wonder they prefer bad boys to church boys. |
morningstar55:Ladies will mislead you, take my advice. |
GO FOR EVIL SPIRIT |
This country needs a new constitution that will enshrine true federalism and set the path to sustainable growth and development. Let us do away with this evil military decree called the 1999 constitution that had undergo unending amendments by the greedy and selfish lot we have as legislators. Nigeria must be great again and assume it's rightful place among the commity of nations under our watch and during our generation. Let's ATIKULATE TOGETHER TO MAKE PROJECT NIGERIA MOVE FORWARD ONCE MORE. |
But that marriage was just a few days ago now! The baby just escaped baby mama or baby papa by the whiskers. Congratulations Johniie. |

Explorers, the only amazing scientically certified guy in nairaland has finally become a dad. Congratulations plenty |
Old man with a dumb excuse |
NA them them be that |
No permanent friends or foes in politics. It's all about interest. |
I don't think any person that will emerge as president under the 1999 constitution can restructure, reorganise, or rejig Nigeria without doing away with the constitution that brought him into power in the first place. Besides, the executive arm of Government will need the Legislative and Jucial arms of Government as well the masses to agree together to restructure the country in a way that will be appealing to all and sundry which I must confess is a near impossible task to achieve in a country like Nigeria. |
