until one can drive at least 650KM on a single charge, electric cars won´t be appealing to me. I can´t be charging my phone and smart watch every 2nd day, and worry about charging my car every 400Km (this is being conservative).

Honestly though, the developed countries enjoying constant power supply did not spend this much to achieved that. Despite this amount spent, we can´t even boast of 18 hours a day supply of power. Am even tired of complaining.

I am not an engineer so i may be wrong with my thinking. Why do we use demolition as the first solution. Is it not possible to give the owners of such substandard structures the possibility to improve the integrity of the structures? I mean, even bridges built decades ago are sometimes strengthen. So is demolition always the best resort? because most times, it´s not even the owner that is culpable, but the greedy builders.
