I commented based on the post only as intelligent commentators and not aprokos would do. Drawing inference from the topic at hand and not other unsubstantiated topics.

Any right thinking individual who is not blinded by whatever allegiance holds him prisoner will know this government has failed thus far so, please do not ascribe to me words I never spoke (or should I say wrote).

I don't understand how people can be duped into joining such a corrupt death cult. Christians are always bitter and unhappy because they are pursuing a relationship with someone who doesn't exist. They just keep futilely going around in circles wondering why things are not working out like they've been told they would. Magical thinking is sad.
Yeah, "magical thinking is sad"...until dem table your matter for the yearly zonal conference of witches and warlocks for your village.

Better he sees, than others being blind due to their own idiocy, bigotry or indifference as this way, there can never be a positive change in affairs of this country.

Develop himself further? How? I bet you don't listen to sound sultan, sorry you are a DJ, its most likely you tend to like party jamz.SS doesn't make noise, he sings and pass a message everytime he does.
This is what I do. I live, eat, shiit, sleep, breathe music spanning MULTIPLE genre with a library of over 5 TB of songs and counting. Resigned a professional career to pursue my DJ inclinations, so please, don't tell me about 'sorry you're a DJ'. I know my art man! Every aspect of it!

Obviously, you did not get my meaning (I like to think so). You move with the times in music if you plan on being a commercial artist. If you want to remain in a niche, underground, no problem. But, if you must remain commercially viable, you MUST follow the zeitgeist. Look at R Kelly, Lionel Richie, Ronald Isley, Charlie Wilson and a host of others who tuned their sound to remain relevant to the mainstream folks purchasing music.

Save you want to condemn your career to touring in clubs and whatnot, you have to stay relevant and pander to what the stadium filling populace want to listen to even if to you it is garbage and a decimation of the 'art form' (ask KRS 1 how market despite all his hullabaloo about hip hop being watered down and whatnot by artistes like Nelly and others, Nelly took him to the cleaners [dedicated a hit song No.1 to addressing KRS's 'bickering']).

Except you want to buy your own music, give the people what they want!. Sultan failed in this respect, always talking about how nowadays artistes are shallow, poor lyrics etc. The people already know this yet they want these artistes anyway. Endorsement fall on them, shows, etc. His formula should have been a blend of the so called 'rubbish' current artistes are dishing out and conscious lyrics he purportedly brings to the masses. That way, he can smile to the bank, remain commercially relevant while still keeping fans like you.

P.S. Will be lauching my website soon. When it's done, hope you'd come around. Issues like this, reviews and others will be treated.

Omooba77:
A former President , Dr Goodluck Jonathan , has advised members of the Peoples Democratic Party no to make the mistake of making wrong choice of National Working Committee members at the December convention.
Jonathan gave the advice when he received an aspirant for the party’ s national chairmanship position, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, at his residence in Abuja on Tuesday.
He cautioned that the party could not afford to make mistake in choosing its next national chairman and publicity secretary, describing them as “ very delicate positions .”
He said , “ This time around we need a very courageous and vocal person to be the chairman. There are two positions that we must not make mistake on – the positions of the national chairman and that of the national publicity secretary, because I have worn the shoes before and I know where it pinches.
“If we make a mistake as a party and elect a wrong chairman and publicity secretary, we are finished. ”
Jonathan added , “ We need a very competent person and a team player, somebody who will not negotiate to get money from the aspirants to make them candidates .
“If you do that , you have destroyed the party because a party must come up with programmes and policies that will elect the best of the best .
“If you present the best material , the chances of your wining election are stronger than when you present a wrong material . We need such kind of chairman that will galvanise the national committee and also link up with state committees and do the best for the party.
“This is key so that by 2019 when we go for the general elections, the PDP will have majority in the states’ Houses and National Assembly and of course , the PDP must win the Presidency . “
Jonathan , who said that the December convention would be keenly contested, urged the chairmanship aspirants to see the exercise as a family affair .
According to the former President , the PDP must migrate from the ruling party to opposition for the purpose of stabilising the country’ s democracy.
“I am not saying that as an opposition party you must be saying anything you like

Can you guys really change? Who are you planning to front as a presidential candidate come 2019? Another recycled theiving politician I suppose. Truth is, there is not ONE credible soul in your ranks that can give the polity any semblance of hope relative to your governance.

If this is true, then Buhari is just rubbishing his purported fight against corruption, giving his detractors ammunition to fight his government.

Isn't he concerned about his legacy, how Nigerians would remember him after he departs this world (not even office) for the hereafter as no matter the amount of medical trips embarked upon, the man's time is nigh, his journey on this plane is done and the funny thing is he knows this. So why mess with his legacy?!

since music is all about sound as you said, tell me why no nigerian musician has risen to the height of winning at least one grammy award....or do you think to win such an award involves only the best of sounds, they check out your lyrics and the ryhmes, and the rythme of your songs, they don't just give such a prestigious award to one clown who wakes up one morning, goes into the studio, and starts screaming down the roof....if music is only based on sound and beat as you say, then the likes of jayz, beyonce and rihanna won't see our musicians back.
His argument wasn't watertight nor balanced.

Reason why the producers should be lauded more. Nigeria has a dance culture when it comes to music. Take away the producers and your so called 'superstars' will become nothing but fireflies.

proudly a blogger. But let me educate you a bit on bloging. The American bloger got every resources needed for bloging. That include light, fast internet data, good laptop, paid software with lots of functionality. This is the reasons they have blogs that are more advance. Talking of poor English, grammarly is an app that correct English language. Funny enough, most American blogers use it. It is not free. You pay for it yearly. How many nigerians can afford it. So stop comparing the quality you get. A lot of nigerian blogers are even trying considering the situations of things
While I understand what you're saying, objectively, I do not agree with you.

When you want to do something , engage in a business, relationship, or whatever, you sit down, count the cost and chart a course of action. It is everybody's dream to be a success at what they do, to be renowned, celebrated as an authority on whatever it is they specialise in.

So, a blogger should have done these. You cannot in good conscience (at least I think so) blame economic circumstances (no fault of yours by the way) for all the hogwash we get from bloggers in Nigeria. The things you mentioned affects the 'operational' aspect of blogging and not the 'content' and 'ethics' which is my bone of contention here. NEPA has nothing to do with a post intentionally riddled with heartbreaking falsehood that could bring down all another person has worked for (abi u no know the power of the media?).

Do you get me now? I know the challenges involved in running a venture in Nigeria, all I'm saying is that bloggers should work on themselves a little, not just jump into it for the sake of the greenbacks. Grammarly can only take you so far as without the basics, how do you even know your English is wrong talkless of fixing it?

In summary, your retort addressed the operational aspect of the job, while I was commenting on the ethics and content of the job.

You are too myopic about this. I am not blaming her for speaking against the govt on corruption. She just wasn't smart with it.

When you face a big shot, u need an ally ( sort of big shot) to back you up. It's just my opinion though.
You don't need to have a "big shot" to do the right thing. Big shot or not, when "they" come for you, you're a walking corpse never minding your fortifications, it's just a matter of time. I'm sure she knew the risks she was taking. Everything does not have to be done as it is done in Nigeria.

P.S. I would appreciate it if you can resist the NL trait of throwing subtle or direct shades at the intelligence or person of members you are discussing with. I'm sure you know what I'm driving at here.

Tell me, when did pointing out the corruption in a government become doing something wrong? Yes, you may ask, what evidence did she have, that I do not know as the post did not address that but the consensus given the tone of the post seem to be that she was known for standing up against the government and corrupt politicians. in fact, the manner of her death vindicates her with respect to her allegations against the evil elements in her society.
