Christianity EtcRe: Praying Through The God Of Your Pastor/general Overseer by DJperdurabo: 10:08am On Oct 01, 2017
zionmade1:
We dont do that in my church. but its not all that wrong as long as u re making reference to God almighty
If u believe it was God that called and annointed ur pastor and it was God that sent him to u to tell u wat he has in store for u, if u believe that God speaks to u through him, then its not wrong to remind God of those promises he made to u through the pastor. For example
Pst Oyedepo: If i serve a loving God, u will not lack and fall sick.
A winners chapel member who feels he is lacking or feeling sick can say: God of Oyedepo, i call on u, u promised i wont lack, i wont fall sick, come and deliver me now.

So it sort of raises the faith of the person praying
Your post lends credence to catholics calling on the saints and Mary to "pray" for them.

Na lie, I understand your post very well so don't tell me I don't "understand" what you meant.

am not talking about praising anybody here.
Lets move a step higher, if the pastor chooses another god and God himself does not reveal it unto u, then ur relationship with God needs to be checked. if ur father sees u doing the wrong thing and doesnt correct u then something is probably wrong.
I believe you "truly" know, on deeper reflection, that you're wrong in this assertion of yours.

How many people has God "revealed" stuff to ala the way your post suggests in recent times?
Christianity EtcRe: Praying Through The God Of Your Pastor/general Overseer by DJperdurabo: 10:01am On Oct 01, 2017
Pray as directed in the Good Book.

I do not support praying in the name of the GO or Pastor or whatever's god as I truly don't know the god he "truly" worships never minding his preaching or "christian" posturing. As it is now, one never knows with ministers again o!

The mysteries of life are deep and convoluted indeed. Better to be safe than sorry...just simple quality assurance in play.

Moreso with a business environment that's as unfriendly as Nigeria. Me thinks that there are certain businesses that are "built" for the Nigerian market. If one can key into such businesses the rest as they say is history.

Stereotype. There are oyinbo with all the bad traits and worse of some Nigerians. Be it online fraud, rogue traders, narcotics, etc

Nigerians stand up to Europeans. Sometimes Nigerians make them realise their ignorance about world affairs and injustices, current & historical, of oyinbo people towards Africans. Oyinbo always want to set the agenda & determine the narrative. Disputing it with them does not endear you to them. But they'll grudgingly respect you though. grin cheesy

I stopped caring about being liked or not long ago. I nor care. Just give me my respect, dignity & space as a human being. You can be Hitler incarnate, na your wahala be that o.

1. Well, why should they teach you their technology? They spent hours and money building those knowledge, while you use yours for owambe, show-offs, marrying many wives, leaving everything to GOD and many lazy habits.

2. Well, no one stops us from seeing the best in ourselves, we can build our own confidence and no one can repress that. In short, Take responsibility for your existence.

3. Are blacks /African not trying to control themselves? Its majorly in Africa you will find a clueless head of state holding on to power and yet his/her people will just "siddon look".

Imagine the world without the efforts of the whites? I am not saying they are better as human, but they are just better at pushing the limits, asking critical questions and trying to solve important problems. African just lazily hide behind religion and stop thinking. It pains me everyday when I see Africans suffering while their leaders are looting and causing them to blame each other. Just imagine in Nigeria the politicians are looting while the citizenry are busing calling each other names (ipob,afonja..) I will emphasize on my points later (after work).
What have YOU done to fix the issues you raised? What affirmative action or steps have you taken to initiate a conscious and revolutionary change in the so called "status quo" you were quick to point out?

If nothing worthwhile save lamenting on forums such as this, you're a part of the problem!

NafeesaAA:
Do you know the Hausa turbans are different from Fulani ones. Hausa ones are generally bulb-shaped without the two tail-like pieces of cloth sticking out from the top. The Fulani ones, apart from the tail-like elements, are also more closely similar to the Touareag ones in structure and design.

Though these days they are both worn interchangeably.
Always reminds me of Rabbit ears. Nice though.

I attend RCCG and I've never heard of stuffs like this, but i've seen it happen in mfm, jeovah witness, deeper life and catholic too. I don't know why discrimination is present amongst Christians..For crying out loud we serve the same God, Some would now give the groom difficult things to do in a bid to frustrate him. Also, when female members get married the church feels like it's a disadvantage to them.cause they're actually taking the bride away from their church to another one..It becomes an addition to the grooms church.. I don't even know why people go about doing church wedding
I tire!

In every democratic setting, it's expected that some people will agree and disagree whenever any issue concerning the public is raised. That's beauty of democracy.
But at the end, majority carries the vote and majority of igbos want Biafra.( If you doubt me, why is Nig govt afraid of testing their popularity through referendum, if clamour for Biafra is only for miscreants ? )
Only animalistic basstardds that lack knowledge of democracy will rejoice at the sight of this thread because they think that every human being would be miserable zombies like them. Agreement and disagreement should be inevitable.
Their decision is ok as long as they are happy with it and that is what I expected.

AGAIN, MAJORITY CARRIES THE VOTE.
Why do I have a feeling that if you were Muslim, you'd likely be a suicide bomber. Tried fighting the feeling, but it just won't go away...

That's a blotted lie and apocryphal asseveration. It's only borne out of a paroxysm of her own character assembly and an apparent reflection her own marital intentions. I aver at the risk of even sounding platitudinously humdrum that nobody holds a monopoly of an ability to establish tensions and escalating hostility, and likewise, nobody was not born meek, debonair and innocuous. It only takes two live wires to spark or otherwise to remain docile as the balance of power is the most efficacious scale of peace and tranquility, it doesn't exclude marriage which is another platform of society in its own stead. In essence, I have a great askance as to if anyone goes into conjugal equilibrium with another with predetermination to engage in remorseless rancorous ruptures and pettifogging disputations, and neither does it erupt by a reason of a single coincidence or a spontaneous provocation but solely sequel to the two parties, having reached a breaking point after consistently mounting tensions and accumulating aggression.

FamilyRe: Today's Experience Changed My View On Domestic Violence by DJperdurabo: 9:42pm On Sep 17, 2017
EgunMogaji:
I'm glad that you had this education.

While I'm not naive to think that some Men are not truly bad but it is my opinion that a lot of this DV stuff is propagated by women.

Your neighbor is lucky. Were this to happen in the US here is what's going to happen to your neighbor

1) He'll be arrested immediately, no waiver, he'll go to jail

2) He'll be charged with domestic violence and face a felony charge, State Vs Neighbor

3) He'll need to come up with bail (here bail is not free, not at all)

4) In some locales, his pictures will be on the jail website and in local newspaper

5) He may loose his job

6) He may get a restraining order filed against him to stay away from his house, his kids, his kids schools and anywhere where his wife may known to visit

7) The wife cannot withdraw the charge, his case is with the state as its a criminal case

cool Many men never recover from this

9) Many men go on and kill the wive then themselves.

10) Many men go nutbats and kill the woman, her friends, her coworkers, actually travel to other cities to continue to kill her family. Why? Because he knows his life/career is practically finished with a DV charge on his record.

11) I won't bother listing the collateral damage in erm sof loosing hi sjob, losing his house, loosing part of his future income.

So I've been where you got today, the part of not just taking the silly my husband beat me story. It takes two to tango.

If your neighbor is smart he'll pack out of that house today and leave the she devil aloen for another man to deal with. But he must take care of any kids that exists in the marriage, no question about that.

I personally don't take bullshit from women. I'm on my 3rd marraige because of this no willing to deal with women trouble. There are lots of issues and trouble out there in the world and no one needs his own wife to be another source of that issue. So I bounce immediately.

I don't even know how your neighbor can face the other people in your building now.
I dey tell you!
