Politics › Re: Yakubu Gowon Was The True Hero Of The Civil War by DMerciful(m): 6:33am On Feb 18, 2020
It is about the restoration of Biafra and not the creation of an Igbo country but if push comes to shove, the Igbos would go it alone including we Igbos in South South, Benue, kogi
Rossippi:
Bro, it was the discovery of oil in large quantities in the Niger Delta in the early 1960s that led to the rise of Igbo secessionist sentiment. It is why they always include the Niger Delta region, which is non-Igbo, in their 'Biafra' maps. If they truly wanted ''self determination'' as an innocent aspiration, they would simply draw a map that was just Igboland, plus maybe a tiny land corridor leading to the sea for international trade. But no.. They include the entire delta region in 'Biafra'. It's all about oil.
Politics › Re: Yakubu Gowon Was The True Hero Of The Civil War by DMerciful(m): 6:28am On Feb 18, 2020
You are brandishing beer parlour gossips! Zik supported the call for declaration of Biafra.
He only changed his mind after the war had started probably because of the lack of international support. People die in war. 2 million people die, does that mean we should accept servitude in order to be alive? No tribe backs out of a war brought before it because of fear of death, No! Rather the hope of victory spurs you on.
Rossippi:
They were all greedy elite thieves with eyes on the oil.

They knew there was no ''threat'' of Nigerian forces coming down to kill all Igbos after the pogrom, like Ojukwu falsely claimed. They supported him in his propaganda and lies. They were corrupt elements, not elected representatives of Igbos, since it was a military dictatorship in power at the time.

The few Igbo leaders with conscience who warned Ojukwu against secession like Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, and Brigadier Hilary Njoku, were ignored and sidelined, and called 'efulefu' (lost people).

The result?

2 million dead Igbos.
Politics › Re: Yakubu Gowon Was The True Hero Of The Civil War by DMerciful(m): 5:39am On Feb 18, 2020
I asked you a simple question, why did the Nigerian government celebrated Nzeogwu by giving him a national burial even though he fought on the side of Biafra but you accused the Igbos of not pushing Ironsi a military dictator to punish him. How come Nigeria did not push Gowon not to honor him?
Where is the wisdom in you position?
Rossippi:
Why did the Igbo elite/intelligentsia not appeal to Ironsi to try the coup plotters led by Nzeogwu? Leaders from the other regions did.

It was the lack of justice for the slain leaders that led to the massacre of Igbos in the north by the northern masses, not ''envy'', you NARCISSIST.
Politics › Re: Yakubu Gowon Was The True Hero Of The Civil War by DMerciful(m): 5:15am On Feb 18, 2020
What led to Igbo problems is just envy, nothing more. Civilians shouldn't be held accountable for actions of military men who owe them no allegiance. It was the actions of Awolowo and Akintola that trigger the coupists in the first place; they were planning to install Awolowo.
You said Ironsi did not execute Nzeogwu, did the Nigerian military not give Nzeogwu a national burial under Gowon? Inspite of killing Northern elders and carrying the first coup?
Why did Nigeria give him a national burial? Cant you see the irony? You accused Igbos of not doing anything to Nzeogwu, a man Nigeria celebrated nationally when he died!
This is to tell you they weren't angry with Nzeogwu because his actions gave them the excuse they needed to deal with Igbos in line with the ideological hatred of Igbos by Amadu Bello!
Rossippi:
Did they TRY?

Was it not Yorubas and Hausas that were appealing to the same 'military dictator' Ironsi, to apprehend Nzeogwu and co and try them for murder?

Why did Igbo elders and leaders keep quiet?

Or you think other Nigerians didn't notice that the Igbo elite were silent?

Stop taking your countrymen for fools. That will lead to the end of your problems.
Politics › Re: Yakubu Gowon Was The True Hero Of The Civil War by DMerciful(m): 4:57am On Feb 18, 2020
You are educated so you should understand how the military works. Nzeogwu, Ironsi, Ifeajuna, and the yoruba officers in Nzeogwu's team do not answer to Igbo civilians or Yoruba civilians. They were military men with no mandate because they were never voted for. There was no referendum or election in Igboland were these people were elected as representatives. It's like punishing the North for the sins of Abacha who has no mandate from the North. If you're finding a way to blame the Igbos for the actions of coupist and dictators then you have no honor or integrity. I wonder how a person who know how military
dictatorship work will say Igbo civilians will tell Igbo coupists and dictator what to do. Did Abacha not dethrone the Saudana of Sokoto? Stop talking like a child!
Rossippi:
Igbos killed people in their midst. They killed the Prime Minister, plus Akintola, the leader of the western region, plus the Sardauna, leader of the North.

Who asked you to go and kill leaders of other regions in cold blood?

Why did Igbos and Igbo elders not command Ironsi to bring the perpertrators of such heinous murders to justice? It was Yorubas and Hausas that pled with him for 7 months, to his deafening silence.

Because YOU do not ''worship your leaders'' does not mean others don't ''worship'' theirs, inugwo? Umu anuofia.
Politics › Re: Yakubu Gowon Was The True Hero Of The Civil War by DMerciful(m): 4:40am On Feb 18, 2020
No wonder you are taking this position, completely out of ignorance! There was a meeting of all the leaders of the groups that made up the eastern region including the political leaders, religious leaders, judicial leaders, academic leaders, military leaders. Remember we were operating regional governments but Ironsi only replaced the premiers by military governors but all other institutions were regionally operated as it were in 1963!
Rossippi:
What ''Eastern Assembly''?

Are you aware we are talking of a period of military rule?

What assembly?
Politics › Re: Yakubu Gowon Was The True Hero Of The Civil War by DMerciful(m): 4:35am On Feb 18, 2020
Which Igbo leaders? Do you think if Okpara was killed only by Northern coupist in the military,
the Igbo civilians would start killing Northerners in their midst? That's preposterous! Igbos would never do that. Igbos have been in Nigeria since 1914 just to start from there yet have never killed Nigerians in their midst.
Rossippi:
All this is hypothetical rubbish. Igbo leaders have never been targeted for slaughter by people from other regions, plus with no repercussions to the murderers, so YOU DON'T KNOW how they would react if it occurred.
Politics › Re: Yakubu Gowon Was The True Hero Of The Civil War by DMerciful(m): 4:16am On Feb 18, 2020
If Hausa officers kill Igbo leaders( Igbos do not have leaders they worship), Igbos will not go killing Hausa civilians in Igboland. They will target the officers. Have you wondered why Northerners kill Easterners even till now if there is a comic cartoon of Mohd in Denmark? That's their way! They kill with very little or no provocation from their victims. Show me one incident where Igbos started killing other Nigerians in their midst
Rossippi:
You don't dictate to a people how to react after you murder their leaders and refuse to bring the perpetrators to justice!

That you expect them to act 'rationally' after such a grievous injustice and disruption of their world, just shows the deep narcissism of many Igbos.

If a small group of Hausa barbers in Onitsha woke up one day and slaughtered all the Igbo leaders, including the Obi of Onitsha with machine guns in cold blood, and were allowed to walk free for 7 months, would Onitsha residents target only Hausa barbers, or would they target Hausas?
Politics › Re: Yakubu Gowon Was The True Hero Of The Civil War by DMerciful(m): 3:01am On Feb 18, 2020
Amadu Bello, Balewa, Akintola and Okotie Eboh was killed by Nzeogwu and his gangs including
Yoruba officers, and they were not elected so cannot be said to have carried the mandate of the generality of Igbos. So what concerns Igbos with the actions of military men?
During the pogrom, they retaliated against Igbo military officers, why kill thousands of civilians who were not in the army? Gowon started the war but know the Biafra will come to pass!

Rossippi:
Load of rubbish.

NOBODY HATED IGBOS IN NIGERIA.
Igbos settled in Hausaland and Yorubaland in their millions even before independence. Apart from a brief skirmish in the north in the 50s, nobody harassed Igbos in Nigeria, or discriminated against them.

Igbos were in fact FAVOURED by other Nigerians and respected for their industry and education. Igbos held political positions and top civil service positions in the north and the west, and nobody cared. Nobody opposed or harassed them.

This whole thing started when a group of Igbo army officers, led by Major Nzeogwu, went around in 1966, KILLING the duly elected Northern Prime Minister of Nigeria, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, and killing Northern and Yoruba leaders, including the religious leader of the North, Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto! And leaving all Igbo leaders alone, safe. Untouched.

This outraged the rest of the nation. Then Ironsi, an Igbo general, came to power, following those killings.

Nigerians expected that Ironsi would bring the klllers to justice.

They sent him message after message, for 7 months, to bring the killers to justice.

He did nothing.

He just left the killers to walk free!

Yet they were millions of Igbos living in the north!

After 7 or 8 months of Ironsi's inaction, the northerners had had enough of this insult upon injury, this huge spit on their collective faces, and responded in a VERY PREDICTABLE WAY, by targeting Igbos in their midst. Northern officers then staged a counter-coup that killed Ironsi.

How can you slaughter the Prime Minster, plus their religious and political leaders, and ignore the murders, while millions of your people reside in their land making money?

I am actually surprised that only 40 or 50,000 Igbos were killed.

If I was a Hausa muslim man, I would have definitely targeted Igbos around me.

If YOU were in their shoes, YOU would have done the same. And the same goes for all these IPOB goats we have today, with their holier than thou horse shiit.

So, following the massacre of Igbos in the north, Ojukwu now claimed that the ''evil Nigerian vandals'' were heading to the east to kill all Igbos, a blatant lie.

And then he declared secession. Real intent? To steal and corner the newly discovered oil reserves in the Niger Delta.

He didn't secede with just his Igboland.

He included the South South, who had no business in any of this.

That shows you his real objective was to corner the nation's oil resources newly discovered.

It is the same reason IPOBs today include the South South in their 'Biafra' madness, even against the wishes of the Deltans. To corner those oil resources.

THAT is their true aim of secession.

THIS IS THE FULL TRUTH.

That is why they don't care how many millions of Igbos are killed in their quest for separation.

It's all about GREED FOR OIL.

Anything else these narcissistic warmongers are telling you is merely to confuse and bamboozle you.

Now you know the truth. If you like, keep lying to yourself.
Politics › Re: Yakubu Gowon Was The True Hero Of The Civil War by DMerciful(m): 2:52am On Feb 18, 2020
Ojukwu received approval for seccession from the Eastern assembly. It was by no means unilateral. Pls read books and not gossips
Rossippi:
Low IQ mosquito brain. Ojukwu had NO RIGHT to declare a ''Republic of Biafra''.

First of all he was a military dictator. His declaration was not subjected to any political processes.

You are obviously an unschooled person to think a military colonel can just wake up one day and artbitarily secede from a country without debate, without negotiation, just by saying ''we secede!'

Where in the world does that happen?

NAME ONE instant that that has happened anywhere on earth?

Oya, go and declare secession today, let us see if your death toll will not hit 10 million.

Not that you care anyway. Did Ojukwu care that his irrational act would lead to millions of Igbo deaths?

Did Ojukwu go to those villages to warn the old women that they would starve and die in his coming battle, for which he had no weapons?

Of course not. Or they would have told him, ''no war''.

Instead, he lied to the people that they could defeat Nigeria with their cutlasses and matchets.

He lied to them that Nigerian troops were heading to the east to kill everyone. A BLATANT LIE FROM THE PITS OF HELL.

None of you Biafran warmongers care about the Igbo people. To you, their lives are expendable.

Disgusting set of people.

Come on get out of my sight.

Bloodthirsty air head.
