joseph1832:Men, a lot of mechanics dey politics too much. |
janus05:You are dead right. Nothing else motivates them. |
joseph1832:Nooooo! A smart politician can never give up such opportunity. Haven't you heard there's strength in number? Aside that, in the murky waters of politics, you keep your loyalists close to your chest and give hope to decampees thereby weakening the opposition. |
Who knows, it's possible mods were replaced momentarily by clones. |
PDP with federal might, Osho floored them. And now, APC with federa might,. Osho will retire . |
PDP with federal might, Osho floored them. And now, APC with federa might,. Osho will retire . |
barcanista:I agree with you by half. It is not because PDP lost. PDP should have been cremated long time ago. Mark should have been banned from democratic politics for saying telephone is not meant for the poor while he was a minister during Abacha 's inglorious reign. |
Source is sourcepicious. |
adeyemi2015:Don't panic. The new ones need to undergo the necessary initiation while the old ones are still here to point them in the right direction away from the 'do no good' Wailers. |
I started typing my first post by 4.57pm posted at 4.58pm but at the time my post showed thread has gone viral. Forumites, I hail all for supporting PMB. Be rest assured he will deliver as promised. Just be patient. Continue your effervescent support as God's blessings will not pass u by. To whom God has chosen no benefit in opposing. Cheerio! |
Now I firmly know we are not drifting in this murky water of corruption. There is a Captain definitely in charge of the ship. |
PassingShot:Pa Chukwudi's age? Ha! It is indeterminate. We only know he is Aging Without Growing Up(AWGU). |
Whynotthetruth:Am at your service, monsieur. |
It is difficult to be a slave in your own house, environment, or region. If such happens, there must be internal collaborators. Such elements must first be dealt with before emancipating yourself from your assumed slavery. |
Splashme:It is your call to make and, of course, it shows in your discourse trying to hold on to a broken egg oozing putrid fluid. Both of us don't know more than the man with the reigns of power - PMB. So far, he is on course to stop the rot. It is only 2months+ of his presidency. Until he does something unbecoming of what is expected I remain with him. And I pray he succeeds for my kids's sake. You rap about local content in a way that shows you know little about it. Local content has been with us for ages. That was the reason many millionaires sprung up in my locale preceding GEJ regime. The entities are called oil services companies. GEJ contribution was to expand the scope. On your preference to go back to that era, opportunities abound. The best starting point is Otueke. |
baralatie:Hmmmm Some logic of an evasive forumite playing a judge and jury role. What matters to you is the spending of N1.5trillion on subsidy well beyond a projected budgetary estimate of about N500b? What's your goal in this world? Remember my question is still pending. |
baralatie:I didn't lack in the main but then I don't wish to re-live that era because it has been shown that we spent the fortune of several generations to maintain that apparent stability. Now, do you want to return to that era? |
chukwudi44:Since the advent of PMB regime I have not failed to buy fuel when I want at 0 to 17naira differential per litre. If it stays that way I have no issue with it. What gives me joy is not the stability per see but the virtual elimination of humongous claims of subsidy even on locally refined products labelled as imported under GEJ. So my question now to you: will you want to return to that era? |
In Nigeria, a 17year old is still a dependant for his/her livelihood and mentally and morally vulnerable. |
baralatie:Do you wish to go back to that era? |
Whynotthetruth:That I know. What I also know is that your attempts at rebranding GEJ even to his own distaste baffles me. This is a man who admitted to his weaknesses and shortcomings and knows those that traded with his name in the Temple of Corruption. Nigerians have chosen to trudge on and let the past be. This 'Achimedes' flailing in the bathing tub to tell Nigerian what was and wasn't is not making sense. |
Whynotthetruth:Sometimes you can never get facts from 'white collar' journalism. I live in Warri with the refinery just around the corner. Getting to know why things didn't work for a long time is not an abomination and the staff are not gagged from telling their side of the story. |
I read every post on this thread to see if there is something new to learn, alas, none. Rather, all I could see are convoluted somersaults of apologists of a ruinous government already beheaded by the populace. @whynotthetruth, it's your right to mend, a broken pot which the owner has discarded but remember a new pot is in the kitchen. |
Where is the N21b raised for presidential campaign? 1. It was a rain of Naira Saturday in Abuja as Peoples Democratic Party realised more than N21 billion at its fund- raising dinner towards next year’s general election from donors spanning business, elected government officials, and private individuals. Although the president, Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, who was billed to be the chief launcher, was absent at the dinner held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, the event received huge financial commitment from those present. www.thisdaylive.com/.../ pdp... election - . 2. Count us out of Jonathan's Campaign Funds –PDP Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) has distanced itself from the controversy surrounding the handling of the PDP presidential campaign funds. A national daily, at the weekend had reported that President Goodluck Jonathan had set up a committee to audit how the party’s national secretariat and state chapters spent the campaign funds. It claimed that about N2 trillion was disbursed to the two party organs. Presidential spokesperson, Dr. Reuben Abati, had since dismissed the report as unfounded. But fielding questions yesterday on a radio programme in Abuja, National Publicity Secretary of the party, Olisa Metuh, said the Adamu Mu’azu-led national working committee did not receive any amount from any quarter for the campaigns. Metuh noted that Directorates of the Presidential Campaign Organizations managed all funds during the campaigns, which he further noted was insulated from the party national secretariat. Metuh said: “As a party, we have refrained from joining issues publicly on this matter, but in the light of series of enquiries, arising from allegations that the NWC embezzled the money meant for the campaigns, we need to make some clarifications. “As the spokesperson of the PDP, I want to place it on record that the National Working Committee was not part of the management of funds for the presidential campaigns. “The NWC did not receive any money neither was it in any way involved in how the funds were spent. Even as the National Publicity Secretary of the party and Chairman of the Publicity Sub-Committee, I did not receive any money from any body and no fund whatsoever was given to me for the campaign.” He further expressed concern over what he called the orchestrated plot to discredit the national leadership of the party. “Apparently out of ignorance, this NWC has been unjustly demonized and labelled. How can anybody expect the NWC to account for funds it never received? Can we account for funds we did not manage? “The president in his wisdom set up directorates and gave them the responsibility to directly manage the elections, including the funding.” |
To all you supporting this Balkanization of our dear country, may your life take same path Nigeria has taken since 1999... [/quote... for which PMB has gallantly put a stop to since 29/05/2015. |
The only beautiful thing about breast is the skin covering it. Every other thing underneath is an eyesore. |
